These videos your putting out are invaluable and personally have really helped me make buying decisions lately. Aputure in particular has made a lot of money from me seeing your in depth reviews (a whole lighting kit really). What I love about them is how you clearly have a lot of real world experience as a pro and go into why you have the impressions you do from that perspective. The more experience I get, the more I realize how few have this experience and know how to convey information the way you do and are putting it out publicly. Just wanted to say thanks.
They really are little workhorses. I put one in a wood stove on fire FX for a recent horror short I gaffed. Looked absolutely perfect. Thanks so much for your work on this channel, I learn something every video. It’s amazing to have a real world gaffer sharing all this knowledge that we usually have to get from years of firsthand experience. Looking forward to the next video. Also, here’s to hoping Aputures upcoming Nova RGB Panel has similar color scores.
Thanks for this Andrew. I actually just purchased one of these and am pretty excited by it. The magnets are very useful, and clients are impressed with its versatility. It's "the tiny light that can". Cheers.
This is the most informative video on the Aputure MC that I've seen, great work! FYI @ 17:22 you said 5498K but it actually reads 5489K. No biggie just a heads up.
Another great release! I’ve been using the MC frequently over the past few months as a “practical”. Just pull the existing bulb out and pop in the MC. Plus with the app you can dial it in from camera. One of the things I really like about using the MC in lamps is the directionality - so I don’t get the hot spots on the wall. Love these lights! I just wish the case was already available.
Love this little light, very helpful as a practical on almost every shoot. Really nothing to complain about, there are tons of other options when it comes to output
Hey Andrew, the review is amazing as usual. Can you make a comparison between Aputure Mc and Nanlite PavoTube II 6C. People wanna see that for sure. Keep rocking!
Great video as always.. But based on your experience do you think if someone invest on multiple units of this MC light and attached it together on iron tube can it give more power and versatility than buying light like (Nanlite Pavotube 15 or 30c)? of course the tube shape of Nanlite Pavotube will give advantage if you want it to be on the shoot. Thanks
If you aren't already planning on reviewing the aputure 300X? ive seen other reviews but youre opinion and judgement matters much more to me than a youtuber who got the light for free and is making a video for said light as payment.. if you have time im sure it'd be a hit!
Maybe it's just me but the feature I need more than anything in all these little compact LEDs is the ability to dial in colour temp AND tint. Whenever you want to balance to the ambient light in most office situations it's usually 3400-4000k + 15g or between and 1/8 and 1/4 green. For me if I have to carry a pack of little green gels to stick on the front, it defeats the purpose. Does no-one else have this issue? Other than that, they look awesome.
It's a feature I would love to have up my sleve too. Hopefully this comes in a firmware update as it seems to have the processing power and definitely has the LED capability. At present if I need a hue match I'm using the colour picker and white paper. It's a pain but it works. My Luxli Viola 2 led have the exact same issue.
Power bank technology changes faster than I can keep track of, mine are already superseded. Basically get the highest capacity you can afford, and make sure it has output 2 or 2.5A outlets (not 1A like the cheaper units). so it the power back can output more power than the MC uses you wont have a problem.

Will you be reviewing the Astera hydrapanel?
Yes
Hi! What specs of a powerbank do you recommend so I can use the MC while charging?
Power bank technology changes faster than I can keep track of, mine are already superseded. Alright. Thank you very much!
Impressive little light!
what is apps name so i can download the apps

I think so,
