You're making some REALLY smart moves in terms of how you're going about building this track. Would love to see you have events with other RUclipsrs at the track like Cleetus has been doing with Freedom Factory. I'm sure that would go a long way towards covering these huge expenses in building the track.

Old man next door (in his 80's) has been on his 1976 JD350B that he bought new... building home pads for almost the last 50 years.... he's incredible to watch!
Great buy! Always remember when buying any used equipment, ask for oil samples of hydraulic oil, final drive oil and any oil. Send off to a lab and have them tested. Cheap insurance to save you $$$$$!

Also speed kills undercarriages. So the faster you run it, the faster you’ll need to replace the grousers, idlers, sprockets, and chain (undercarriage). If you have questions let me know. I’ve ran them for 30+ years.
You and your dad could do with checking out a you tuber from the uk. Mark mccan. He's done the same thing at his house. A 1 mile dirt track. He also owns Ken blocks (rip) Ford fiesta rally cross car as well as loads of other stuff. He's also had whistlindiesel at his house too. Basically, you seem to be doing the same thing on each side of the world😂😂 Big love from the uk as always

Check your air filters everyday until you get a feel for your ground. There should be a cabin air filter as well Let the motor run fir a bit before shut her down let the turbo cool

Good move on buying one but remember you will need to grease it everytime you use it and inspect the the edge of the blade evey week and change the air filter more often than you might think but check it daily

The older equipment you had different controls most pc of equipment were either John Deere controls or Case controls
Definitely needs drive sprockets and you should check the bushings on the tracks
I work on them everyday they break track bolts a lot have to fix a hydraulic leak on one tomorrow other than that they are really nice machines
If you paint it black pops won’t drive it he won’t wanna scratch it 😂

I work on heavy equipment and and I have done the undercarriage on a 550 and worked on other machines and the 550 is a great machine

I have bought two telehandlers from untied rentals and had a small issue with both that they stood behind and fixed with no questions.
Now you can build a track and tweek it as you go. Plus when it gets boring flatten it and biuld another one
