In the Philippines, English is the preferred language during formal training or academics, Tagalog on the other-hand is used during traditional ceremonies and informally often to expound on a topic by instructors.

The Marine Special Operations Group, formerly known as the Force Recon Battalion, are specialized in the sea, air, and land operations, like its counterpart in the Naval Special Operations Group of the Philippine Navy. While the Scout Rangers, known officially as the First Scout Ranger Regiment, are specialized in anti-guerrilla jungle warfare, raids, ambushes, close-quarters combat, urban warfare, and sabotage. Both units are elite, the best of the best on what they're about to accomplish.
As I look at it, Philippine Marine Force Recon training is tougher than the Scout Ranger training in terms of operational coverage. Scout Rangers cover mostly ground operations only but the PMFR covers ground, air and sea operations.
Philippine Marine Force Recon (or MARSOG) are one of the coolest people I met as a Marine reservist. Also had an opportunity to talk to one in a cab ride going home who just came home from Marawi War.
The Philippine Marines is the only unit that conducts training commands in English. When I cross trained with the Army back in the day. I was class marcher for sometime and when I gave commands in English. The instructors looked at me and said: "ay taga marines nga" (meaning Oh he's really from the marines)
Many military units give orders in english. Example : The entire US military. (edit: US Navy, US Army etc etc) Did you mean the only military unit in the Philippines? Still false though.
Philippines Marine Recon Force has leveled up with the Philippines Scout Rangers, But for me the best of the best is the Philippines Scout Rangers team. They are so proven with all their accomplishment for so many wars they engaged. I mean when it comes to the result of difficult jungle fighting day and night still surviving without stopping.
Maybe the reason why is because they are trained by land, by sea, and in the air.. As their specialized.. Scout rangers specialized in land my opinion.

Yes. Filipinos have their own language in communicating and commanding within the military, but it is practiced to speak the English language (which is widely used globally) as Filipinos have trained with American soldiers in the past. Thus, generalizing the communication and command language to be prepared in the future if Filipinos are to fight along side foreign allies.

in my opinion, there is no "best" between these teams. they're specialized and trained differently. you can say they're the best at certain scenarios, but not generally.
Best of the best? We couldn't tell, every unit have their own unique specialization, but the Scout Rangers is a living legend and well known in South East Asia, they've proven themselves for so many decades since their creation way back from World War 2 trained by the Alamo Scouts of US.
Frank Ace: I agree. The Scout Rangers remain to be the #1 special forces in the Philippines. It's understandable why they don't have female recruits - due to the nature of their job. Filipino women are just too small in physical stature for hand to hand combat.
Winston Churchill said during WW2 , the Filipino soldiers are the best warriors in the world in defending Bataan against the Japanese invaders. Quoted from Gen Douglas McArthur “ give me 10 thousand Filipino soldiers and we’ll conquer the world !
Scout ranger and marines for recon both team are elite and deffirent tradition force recon they conduct amphibious assault and combat swim during their entire training. Ranger only n jungle and urban warfare . Base on my research Marines Force recon is train to words of only the Marines can do .
For what i know because scout rangers are for specific missions unlike marines they usualy do patrols in jungle, my tactical officer who is a marine use to tell stories that because they are so few even brigadier generals still goes on patrol if he wasnt able to expirience to be stationed, it is a requirement for them to expirence battle and almost all memebers of marines expirience battle, only major general or 2 star general dont go on patrol anymore they wont reach that rank unless they expirience a gun fight and also because they are few thats why they say "the few and the proud marines".
Philippines also have Delta Force called "Light Reaction Regiment." The battalion is composed of some Scout Rangers and Other Special ops group. It's like an advanced level group than regular Scout Rangers where training and Infos are highly classified and so as their operations.
To be specific, the Light Reaction Regiment (LRR) were trained more towards in military operations on urban terrain (MOUT) than any special forces of the Philippine Army (PA) while the Scout Rangers were trained more in conducting counter insurgency (COIN) by using conventional and unconventional tactics especially in jungle warfare.
Philipoine Scout Rangers has been around since 1950's and they have more experience in jungle fighting, recon, rescue and sabotage (a nicer word for assasination) behind enemy lines. That's there specialty. The marine force recon has been around since 1995. Their training emphasis is airborne, underwater demolition and scuba which is specialized but not frequently needed. There is also a big difference in combat training emphasis between the two units. There are more scout ranger personnel than marine force recon because scout rangers are spread throughout the archipelago in a team of 7 men behind enemy lines 24/7. Marine force recon are called for especialized assignments or to be first in the battle field ahead of the advancing marine force. The question is always which unit is better. I maybe prejudice but I think it's the scout rangers. They are getting better because of modern weaponry, more modern helicopters, drones, tanks, apc's, howitzers and rocket launchers. And there are also scout rangers who are trained as airborne by the Philippine Air Force. For these reasons, scout rangers are always on the news almost every other week killing NPAs and Abu Sayafs.
Yeah right year ranger is equivalent to basic marine course..not in force recon course..ur ranger graduate in a lot of students..force recon student gradute only about 20 start in 120 students..now hows though?

Filipino is polysyllabic so English is spoken to save time in an emergency. Contrast "Help!" with "Tulong!" ( sounds like, "Too long!") - HELP, in the vernacular. Yet in expressing sentiments, Filipino language captures & registers well.
Well, they have different mission parameters, in my opinion. Scout Rangers are anti guerilla forces, designed to infiltrate and tactical insertions. The Force Recon on the other hand is for assaults with multiple entry scenarios. I don't think one is better than the other.
You can't tell wich one is the best among the other units, both Scout Rangers and Force Recon are being deployed to real life combat before graduation that's why many dont succeed to graduate. Both units are specialized in all types of situation urban and jungle operations, the thing that other units lack is advantages marine corps has the advantages of amphibious assault operations. Both are trained to maintain peace and securing the beloved land of the Philippines. LONG LIVE AFP! MABUHAY!🇵🇭
For me...if the operation needs prolonged deployment to remote mountainous areas....the scout rangers has the advantage..but in fast heavy-hitting and surgical operations..the force recon battalion has the advantage.
It amazes me that my country acknowledge the fact we dont have a large amount of troops and decided to train and create several special units Such as the L.R.R., S.A.F, Scout Rangers MARSOG, NAVSOG and a some more. We may lack equipment but I sure feel safe knowing the persistant nature of Filipinos

Just from the video info, it is good that MCN did a research first before the actual reaction video premieres. I hope you also understand that if you pick the video from the DSTV channel, the video they did there is just for "TV" to look good disregarded the tactical aspect. They are now more better equipped and more capable of covert operations more than ever. I could even compare them to our Light Reaction Regiment from the Philippine Army, our version of the U.S 1st SFOD-D.
Our soldiers need to have a good food, and vitamins to keep up their energy. Their training is crazy, there's no ear buds or bulletproof vest. imagine if you missed to hit the balloon. God bless them all! Ampo lang goyd sa Ginoo ang atong pag asa sa gera nga you can home.
There are two official languages in the Philippines, Filipino and English. Formal commands/communications are usually done in English, since other Filipinos may not speak Filipino fluently.
2:04 Yes, I think the reason why they have to speak in english (not all the time assume) is because there are over 180 spoken dialects in the Philippines and not everyone can speak and understand tagalog which is the major language in the PH. I mean, in the Philippines almost everyone can understand english and speak it, we have an accent (understandable) but we do try to speak english
2:08 In our trainings here in the Philippines, in the Military even in Philippine National Police, they usually train us in speaking English, it depends on the Assistant Instructors what we should use. They just instruct us... In 5:55 we wear different uniforms to determine what Branch of forces are you. In the Armed Forces of the Philippines composed of Philippine Army (Scout Rangers, Special Forces & etc.), Philippine Airforce and Philippine Navy where Philippine Marines linked to it... have different colors and styles of Pixelized uniforms. To blend in their environment where they usually are. Even Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Protection, Bureau of Correction, Presidential Security Guard and etc. have almost the same type of uniform but differs in style and colors.
I think the difference in uniforms is just during training. I noticed a recon trainee wearing a Coast Guard uniform around 39:33 , so I think trainees come from different branches of the armed forces, that explains why they have different uniforms.
Yup. Some of their women wearing PNP-SAF Uniform and other men wearing an Army Uniform. There's also wearing Coast Guard and Navy Uniform. It's a specialized training so expected that the trainees were comes from other units.
There is a new elite unit in the Philippines. The Light Reaction Regiment. They select units from the scout ranger regiment. They were the front liners during the marawi siege
Oh yes in the philippines English is also their official language mostly known as the 2nd language like applying for a job. English is so important. By the way just found your channel! Cool videos! I'm a fan of this kind of videos but no planning to become one haha i don't think i can handle even one of the tasks
Force recon, special forces and scout ranger have the same capabilty and they have their own specialized training depending on the type of the mission. Most recognizable in the AFP when they have foundation training courses.
In my opinion, scout ranger is so far the best elite unit. They have been sent in many battles and end up victorious. They are also the one that killed top commander of maute/isis during battle of marawi.
Sorry sir, but don't compare another elite unit to other elite unit, both of them are elite but different task and role, because ranger is elite unit of army, force recon is elite unite of marine corps. Recon is have a 3 consecutive training sea, land and air.
Kaya wala Kang naririnig na force recon dahil hindi mo alam ang recon, sorry sir ahh. Ang recon nag ooperate silently, sir advise ko lang Alam in mo ibig sabihin ng recon.
In my opinion they maybe all considered best because they have different functions and missions (land, air, water, urban and jungle). But all of them may experience all in actual battle.
@@mub770 we are top 1 in South East Asia....20 years ago....see the difference? because, bumaba quality ng education natin. Tuition and fees lang tumataas, but not the quality of education..

My daughters wanted to enter Philippines Military Academy after high school. Watching this training, I couldn't imagine if they could endure a training like this.I hope they could 😍😍😍
I think they all got a purpose, but I think the most dangerous job is for the scout ranger. The Scout ranger job is to track and find the enemy in dangerous territories. You don't know if there is mines or another enemy tracker is also tracking your moves.
The Philippine marine Corp was created in the 50s with the help of the US marines at the time of the huk (prounce as hocks) rebellion like the scout rangers they were modeled after American Units so majority of its traditions and some of its commands are in English well American English with a Filipino accent but basic commands are in Filipino that you see later

Be it FSRR, SF, LRR, MARSOC, NAVSOC, AFCommandos, the Filipino warriors are simply one of the best, and finest in the world. They're short in everything, except courage, resillience, detrmination, and patriotism. PRRD is doing his best to fill in those shortages. Mabuhay po at pagpalain po.
Philippine Scout Ranger is the best force in the Philippines, even some of Marine Force Recon is moving to Scout Ranger. just to let you guys know 100% of Scout Ranger Members is a sharpshooter equivalent of a sniper.
Marine Force Recon is the best than in any other unit , they are all Airborne specialized in Amphibious Opetation they can operate from Land Air and from sea,,ScoutRanger are only good in land or jungle operation,, Marines is the Representative in the Best in Soldiery ...not the scout ranger,,
We actually speak english in our training but not necessarily in all times. English language is our medium of instruction here in the Philippines. But, of course you will think, why are we not using our native tongue? Like what you've seen here in this documentary, these special forces speaks two languages, the Tagalog language which is the Philippines official language and the language of colonizer that we forcibly use to learned during 2nd World War, the english language. I admire you because despite that there are better special forces documentaries here in the internet, you managed to watch our way of training in the Philippines. I don't know the real reason why you choose to watch these guys from Philippine Marines but, I assume that you're not going to tolerate this things just to boost your channel. But, anyway, I hope you enjoy watching this documentary despite having some difficulty of language. You'll notice here that I edited my comment. It is because I'm having a little bit of difficulty of contracting this comment and you probably know the reason why.
i think their trainings are brutal in their own way! in this video they only featured the airborne training. its just like navsog training, ambulance is always wailing😁
Yes, we have to speak english. No matter how good or bad the pronounciation is as long as you can speak the right words then its ok. Our method of teaching in the basic school is in American English and that goes to all branch of our armed forces. We also have commands in filipino or tagalog but when in basic school its always in english.
Hello sir!! I am from the philippines.. For me the best is squad in philippine army is scout ranger. Because they have a lot of mission they succed and the training in scout ranger is very tough. Thats why our president call them the elite force

yes, most Filipinos like me just stutter while trying to speak full clear Tagalog
Just because Philippines isn't a monolingual country, a multilingual country.
Yes you are right
trainees must speak in english throughout the first phase to avoid familiarizing

Filipino is polysyllabic so English is spoken to save time in an emergency. Contrast "Help!" with "Tulong!" ( sounds like, "Too long!") - HELP, in the vernacular. Yet in expressing sentiments, Filipino language captures & registers well.
Yes sir, Everywhere in Philippine training course and center, we use english everytime. We only use our dialect when being told.
MABUHAY!🇵🇭
Philippine special forces.
old rifle+without scope=good skills.💪🇵🇭.
❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
For me...if the operation needs prolonged deployment to remote mountainous areas....the scout rangers has the advantage..but in fast heavy-hitting and surgical operations..the force recon battalion has the advantage.
It amazes me that my country acknowledge the fact we dont have a large amount of troops and decided to train and create several special units
Such as the L.R.R., S.A.F, Scout Rangers MARSOG, NAVSOG and a some more. We may lack equipment but I sure feel safe knowing the persistant nature of Filipinos
SA LAHAT NG MAKABASA NITO. SANA LAHAT PO TAYO AY ILAYO SA SAKIT AT LAHAT NG MGA PROBLEMA BUHAY AY MAWAWALA. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.
#SUPPORT SABSCRAYBS PO🇵🇭
I don't know how old this video documentary is but it must be a decade old just seeing their uniforms.
Not to Mention Infiltration and Intelligent Works so Highly Confidential Divisions
All of them
They are all great. They give their lives for the Philippines. Congratulations to all of them and Gid bless.
In the Philippines the home language is tagalong and many people speak English as a second language for commerce and socially.
Correction: The national language is Filipino, not home language cause home language pertains to your native mother tongue.
@@cabanez_joshuajed3814 this.
Tagalog is not a home language nor the correct term for national language. Filipino is what the term is
Im a korean and the home language of the philippines is filipino sir.
Philippines' official languages are Filipino and English
I'm so proud of you guys Philippines marine force recon battalion. Salute!
Dedication, discipline & right mind set are keys to a good soldier
Snappy salute to all the braves of the philippines. Our heroes💪❤️. Thank you for sharing and reacting, SIR!
There are two official languages in the Philippines, Filipino and English. Formal commands/communications are usually done in English, since other Filipinos may not speak Filipino fluently.
English is one of the two official languages in the Philippines. Most government communications are in English.
Thank you for appreciating the Pilipines marines god bless
Salute and proud of you Philippine marines.
IKAW LNG YATA NAGSABI NG TOTOO SA KARAMUHAN NG NAGKOMENT
Salamat sa info brad. #Trimmoc1988💪🏼
Damn. bro thanks for sharing info that really help me. Thanks
I agree! 💯
I think the difference in uniforms is just during training. I noticed a recon trainee wearing a Coast Guard uniform around 39:33 , so I think trainees come from different branches of the armed forces, that explains why they have different uniforms.
They also train pnp saf one of the company of saf 44 are compose of marine force recon batallion.
Yup. Some of their women wearing PNP-SAF Uniform and other men wearing an Army Uniform. There's also wearing Coast Guard and Navy Uniform. It's a specialized training so expected that the trainees were comes from other units.
But I didn't see Security uniform there why? and boy scout uniform like Tobacco old man always wore
@@sherwintaste9422 security and boy scouts arent part of the armed forces, are they?
Airborne "jump" School's are typically Joint (includes all services) schools. These are not all PH Marines.
In reference to the kali instructor. Check his blade creations, the Top prado blades
2:16 no it's just for international viewers but sometimes they use english but mostly Tagalog or ilocano because it is in Cavite
after you read my comment hope were all successful soldiers someday
There is a new elite unit in the Philippines. The Light Reaction Regiment. They select units from the scout ranger regiment. They were the front liners during the marawi siege
@Jet Rho that's what I said
Oh yes in the philippines English is also their official language mostly known as the 2nd language like applying for a job. English is so important.
By the way just found your channel! Cool videos! I'm a fan of this kind of videos but no planning to become one haha i don't think i can handle even one of the tasks
English is the 2nd language of Pilipinos in school from elementary, high school and up to college.
Force recon, special forces and scout ranger have the same capabilty and they have their own specialized training depending on the type of the mission. Most recognizable in the AFP when they have foundation training courses.
God bless you Philippines soldiers 🙏
In my opinion, scout ranger is so far the best elite unit. They have been sent in many battles and end up victorious. They are also the one that killed top commander of maute/isis during battle of marawi.
Nope. Different special forces have different roles. Can't compare.
Please check navy's SWAG or navsog
Sorry sir, but don't compare another elite unit to other elite unit, both of them are elite but different task and role, because ranger is elite unit of army, force recon is elite unite of marine corps. Recon is have a 3 consecutive training sea, land and air.
Kaya wala Kang naririnig na force recon dahil hindi mo alam ang recon, sorry sir ahh. Ang recon nag ooperate silently, sir advise ko lang Alam in mo ibig sabihin ng recon.
Overrated lng siguro ang ranger kasi sa kanila nakatutok palagi ang camera while marines po they work silently without media at their back.
ito idol ko top marmol... Mabuhay Philippine Marines Marsog/Force Recon
In my opinion they maybe all considered best because they have different functions and missions (land, air, water, urban and jungle). But all of them may experience all in actual battle.
Best of the best special forces in Philippines.
Thanks our Marines Soldiers great training proud of you kabayan
Filipinos generally speak fluent english. I think we are top 5 in fluency.
In my time, its top 3
@@mub770 we are top 1 in South East Asia....20 years ago....see the difference? because, bumaba quality ng education natin. Tuition and fees lang tumataas, but not the quality of education..
I'm proud of you guys,I know & feel your hardship during your trainings, God blessed you all...
Awesome review and reaction video.👍salute!
I have enjoyed watching his reaction video for almost an hour. worth it. Thanks Sir .
In this video the real hell were not shown, they only selected what they had published. But all Philippine Soldiers are best even though they are in different units. All Warriors
Their blade is more like a "Ginunting" with a full guard rather than a bolo.
My daughters wanted to enter Philippines Military Academy after high school. Watching this training, I couldn't imagine if they could endure a training like this.I hope they could 😍😍😍
I think they all got a purpose, but I think the most dangerous job is for the scout ranger. The Scout ranger job is to track and find
the enemy in dangerous territories. You don't know if there is mines or another enemy tracker is also tracking your moves.
Yes!!! Airborne 🕊️🕊️🕊️ high. Proud to be Pinoy
The Philippine marine Corp was created in the 50s with the help of the US marines at the time of the huk (prounce as hocks) rebellion like the scout rangers they were modeled after American Units so majority of its traditions and some of its commands are in English well American English with a Filipino accent but basic commands are in Filipino that you see later
for me they are all best...long live Philippine Scout rangers and Marines...
52 now was one of the drill instructor of marine basic course
Versatile in all kinds of combatant, specifically land , air, and sea, jungle type, or whatever.
kaya pala yung nakita kung mga MARINES naka LMT Mk18, LMT CQBR at HK416 sila with attachment and tactical suppressor yun ba yung force recon nila?, tsaka doon ko una nakita yung Milkor MGL, halos lahat sila naka Team wendy helmet astig, grabi mga baril nila akala ko sa online game kolang nakikita nasa AFP narin pala..astig sana ganun lahat gamit ng AFP
Yes! Marine Force Recon lang ang nka HK416 and laser na compatible lang sa scope dahil sa type ng mission nila. Oraahh!
This my ambition of my son my gosh so hard trading mabuhay marines in the Philippines I'm new your Chanel nice reaction god bless I'm waching from Riyadh Saudi

I reccomend that you react to the balikataan exercises this our joint exercises between the Philippine marines and the US marines and if I remember it right balikataan 2018 or 2019 instead of just the US marines the Australians and the JSDF joined the balikataan exercises

i am a navy retired and i was also trained special forces in the army for deart. i had a brother in law who is a force recon! a gold cross medal i know his hardship in passing the training thats why he survive in battle in mindanao! there is also navy seals or frogman in the navy! they are differrent in there mission!
My respect to these women who got the courage to trained as hard as these men are!! 👍💪
Ranger the best.
Marines da best da best.
Depends on which unit you belong.
I just Pray and hoping that our soldiers dedicated their life for our country....Got more benefits and their family. WE hope that Our Government give them a full support specially those arms they are using to combat against any insurgents and terrosirst...GOD Bless the MARINES elite force and the whole forces of the Philippines...GOD Bless the Philippines...We Salute to our Filipinos Soldiers..
Maganda pala gamitin yan lagi pang operation.
only marines can do! Oraahh!!
Talaga?
Are u sure u dont know
U don't know the training of scout ranger it was not shown on that video it can't be disclosed..ive known personally some scout ranger
Marine Force Recon is the best than in any other unit , they are all Airborne specialized in Amphibious Opetation they can operate from Land Air and from sea,,ScoutRanger are only good in land or jungle operation,,
Marines is the Representative in the Best in Soldiery ...not the scout ranger,,
Marines is the Representative of the Best in Soldiery,,,
👍
It is because I'm having a little bit of difficulty of contracting this comment and you probably know the reason why.
scout ranges have more brutal trainings, but each special force specialized in a particular area of combat.
i think their trainings are brutal in their own way! in this video they only featured the airborne training.
its just like navsog training, ambulance is always wailing😁
Special Forces are more brutal than SR.Take year and have 2 test mission.
Best of the best, one must consider that each unit is mission specific within their branch of service.
Please react FILIPINO SOLDIERS IN GOLAN HEIGHTS ( EOD )
Yes, we have to speak english. No matter how good or bad the pronounciation is as long as you can speak the right words then its ok. Our method of teaching in the basic school is in American English and that goes to all branch of our armed forces. We also have commands in filipino or tagalog but when in basic school its always in english.
For me i think the best is Marine Force Recon. my neighbor is one of that elite regiment. they recon behind enemy lines. miles to stalk the enemy.
All soldiers are the best of the best in the world. Once a soldier your life is no longer yours but your country.

Hello sir!! I am from the philippines.. For me the best is squad in philippine army is scout ranger. Because they have a lot of mission they succed and the training in scout ranger is very tough. Thats why our president call them the elite force
