  • WHATS BETTER THAN AFFORMATIONS?
    Something I learned from a friend of mine Noah St. John. He flipped the "affirmation" concept on it's head and really created a self help practice that works the way the brain functions. By asking questions.

    Dan, I have been watching you for less than a week everyday and you have helped more than anyone in my life of 71 years! Have suffered my whole life and have tried endlessly to find peace and happiness inside my thoughts. I am a big fan of Louise Haye who I found 30 years ago. The affirmations only help just so far. This is brilliant!! Thanks so much for your guidance.

    When you ask yourself, Why Am I So Rich? You are speaking from an alternate reality where You Are Already Rich. We are constantly time jumping every second. Where your consciousness is; that's where you are. That's the secret of teleportation and time travel.

    • @PainFreeYou

      I'm not referring to any alternate reality. I'm simply referring to posing empowering questions to our brains so that it can go to work on finding the answers. "Why am I so Grateful?" The brain will go to work finding all of that.

    I'm so glad I found your videos Dan, really grateful. I started getting 'migraines' about 4 years ago, and steadily the intervals between headaches grew shorter, and the headaches became more intense, so down the rabbit hole of headache relief I plunged. Anyway, stumbled upon the work of Dr Sarno and my thrashing around the pain relief rabbit hole ceased. As I watched your excellent video here tonight the question gently bubbled up in my mind: 'How come my grandchildren love me so much?', and I'm about to go to sleep with that question percolating around my mind, thanks to your wonderful video, so thanks. What also comes to mind are the words of a philosopher, who it is said, lived in northern India about 2,600 years ago; "We are what we think,. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world."

    But the subconscious mind doesn't know what's true or not. From what Joseph Murphy or Neville goodard would teach so why wouldn't both would work I believe is how we paraphrase our ideas or thoughts. In my opinion. Why can't they both help us evolve.

    • @PainFreeYou

      I didn't say that affirmations can't help us. I'm just pointing out that if you are making statements the brain doesn't believe, it's unsustainable. Hello! So I recently just learned about TMS. It has been affecting my back for about a year now. The pain has been pretty rough and until recently, I thought there was something structurally wrong with my back. Now that I realize this, I have returned to normal activities like running and stretching. I have noticed that my pain almost "resets". So ill go and sit cross-legged which originally is a position I thought id never sit in again. So when I start sitting cross-legged it hurts really bad but then the pain eases away. Next, ill go into a child pose and the same thing happens pain is there and goes away. during this time of me stretching I am able to go back to sitting cross-legged and in child's pose effortlessly with no pain but as a go about my day, maybe 30 minutes later and try its back to the same thing with the pain almost "resetting" and I have to do it all over again. My question is, if I just keep doing this and telling my body it's ok to do this will it eventually stop hurting and the resetting will stop? It's hard pushing through it 5-10 times a day and is mildly discouraging but I don't let it stop me. How can I stop this resetting and live a pain-free life from waking up to going to sleep? Thank you!

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад +1

      Actually, doing the stretching is just teaching the brain that the body is the problem. It's not. Understand what's going on. The brain perceiving danger is the cause. A great place to begin is:

      @Aaron_Tobin Год назад

      @@PainFreeYou thanks for the response. I’m not doing the stretching to “heal” my body for I know there is nothing to heal. The only reason I do the stretches is to feel the pain dissipate and know that it’s a false Alarm. The feeling of overcoming the pain and feeling it go away is empowering and almost feels like it’s reinforcing that the pain is not structural and that it is just my brain giving me warning signals.

      @@antonnovo695 Yes, it works. Our brains function by answering the questions we pose all day. If you ask better questions, you'll get better results. There's a book on this topic. The Book of Afformations by Noah St. John. I'm sure there are RUclips videos from him as well.

      @@PainFreeYou Thank you for replying. Do you think you can heal yourself with afformations? I mean if you ask for example 'why do I sleep so good' or 'why are my eyes healthy'? Or its just a pie in the sky? Thanks

    Do we have to repeat afformations how many times a day should we say them

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      No - it's not about just repeating afformations. It's more about knowing that we are actually okay. If you like afformations, we don't have to do it all the time. Ask the right empowering questions and your brain will go to work on the answers throughout the day. If you want to do more, do more. There is no "correct" answer.
