I was sat on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting for just 1 chain brake use, but nope! He got the skills but just too lazy in the safety dept for me. Any young starters need to find another Palm video
you see him fighting himself to get his spikes out....palms are soft granted but he is far from a professional.....arborist and professional should never be used in the same sentence along side a PALM TREE!!!??!!!? WTF did my eyes just witness treemender
Absolutely incredible!!! Thanks for filming this. I have there large ones probably hitting around 90 to 100 feet and know they will be dying soon due to age and was interested on how they cut them down. What at talent to be able to do this!
My arse that's 80 foot maybe 50, no mainline or even secondary attachment point, no use of chainbrake, cut and hold technique on that last branch was risky as hell holding his arm over the chain like that and that chain is tighter than a politicians pocket he got the job done fair play but holy hell for a health and safety nightmare
you got it......everything I was thinking.............but if we didn't have all these videos of what not to do I'd having nothing to laugh at. A beer and chips and youtube...........ha!
Try 40 foot. Assuming eight to ten foot ceiling height on that pink house 80 foot would make it about eight to ten times higher than the guttering. I have a few of those Bangalow palms about the same height. He can come round my place when he's finished there.
Inexperienced guys don't try this at home this guy is has a lot experience and know what he's doing. make sure have proper training before doing this tree work because it's a dangerous job
Hehe, the dog is not amused-he is like, wait until you come down.I will get you for cutting down my fav p***palm! ^ ^ btw: 11:33 min - and still ~5m left :D
Ahh bangalore palm...nice palm, he did a good job of removing it safely...I've done quite a few of these & i like them as a palm..the rest of the palms can go meet my chainsaw.
Good job. I don't see why he cut, lifted, and shouldered every piece just to drop it behind himself? LOL!!! Simply spike 45/65 degrees to your left Mr. professional arborist and gently roll them off the stem. =D
In my childhood I have seen Indians doing this faster with a sickle and ofcourse without wearing helmet. Two or three strikes with that sickle brought one branch down.... I m sure it was 10X more sharp than this damn chainsaw
Well as I count that dude cut down that tree in 8 seconds. He is a machine when it comes to a chainsaw but you need to watch Meth and a chainsaw, it can turn bad very quickly.
It may be that the tree presents a hazardous situation for it to be cut down ... Depending on how you look at this scenario? To me, It's the opposite. Nature first, development an afterthought. One day we'll remove our species and all else in the process - No more O2. In this video that "tree- Feller's practice does nothing for me, except to raise scorn. Video says a Pro Arborist... I have doubtful issues with that ? Try it without the Spikes or without a Bucketlift, but, above all, without the Stihl ! You may get a little applause. Stop Hacking down the Folliage!
Watched a guy only have one stap and he was moving arund and put anouther strap on but got confused and unhooked his first strap and moved arond tree and DROPED AND YOU COULD HERE IS LEGS BREAK ON VIDEO AND YELL O MY GOD?? WELL IF HE WASENT TALKING WHEN HE WAS UP ON TREE TO HOME OWNER HE WOULD HAVE BEEN FOCUSED?? VERY DANGEROUS FOR ANY BODY WITHOUT A BOOM??
Professional or not.....letting the lanyard fall down like he did will result in a bad day should he have had a roll out....the lanyard always stays higher than your waist.....I climb with mine in my fingers so it dont fall down
80 feet? more like 40. And that dude is no professional. One handing the saw, only one tie in point while cutting, and he doesnt even put the chain brake on before he drops the saw. OSHA would not like this.
Wow. The very first clip was crazy. In all my life. I have never seen someone cut a tree that fast. 😎
😂😂😂
I was sat on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting for just 1 chain brake use, but nope! He got the skills but just too lazy in the safety dept for me. Any young starters need to find another Palm video
I like how he just throws the chainsaw each time he's done cutting haha
you see him fighting himself to get his spikes out....palms are soft granted but he is far from a professional.....arborist and professional should never be used in the same sentence along side a PALM TREE!!!??!!!? WTF did my eyes just witness treemender

Alexander palms. My favourite. Nice work
a proffessional would have at least two tie-in points while cutting. buck strap is useless on palms
At least a prussik on the flip line to cinch it would be nice.
And using 2 hands to hold the chainsaw.
Forget the safety I need to finish this and go home already
Someone has been watching RUclips video that I see
One slip and that chainsaw will cut his freaking belt strap and it's all over with
your 80 foot title on this video is very off.
like 45 to 50 service lines are 20 in most places
like 45 to 50 service lines are 20 in most places
When the tree this tall, just have to wait for the fruit fall doan on it own. Such a dangerous job. I respect man ! always do
What's the cost to cut down one of those palm trees? 50-60 foot?
My arse that's 80 foot maybe 50, no mainline or even secondary attachment point, no use of chainbrake, cut and hold technique on that last branch was risky as hell holding his arm over the chain like that and that chain is tighter than a politicians pocket he got the job done fair play but holy hell for a health and safety nightmare

Lanyard way low
Dudes chain is tighter than hell... P
Try 40 foot.

I have a few of those Bangalow palms about the same height. He can come round my place when he's finished there.
The title did not say eighty feet
Inexperienced guys don't try this at home this guy is has a lot experience and know what he's doing. make sure have proper training before doing this tree work because it's a dangerous job
Hehe, the dog is not amused-he is like, wait until you come down.I will get you
for cutting down my fav p***palm! ^ ^ btw: 11:33 min - and still ~5m left :D
I’m going to do this. Just have to get the rig.
So why dont they fell it with one cut then chop it up on the ground?
Ahh bangalore palm...nice palm, he did a good job of removing it safely...I've done quite a few of these & i like them as a palm..the rest of the palms can go meet my chainsaw.
Good job. I don't see why he cut, lifted, and shouldered every piece just to drop it behind himself? LOL!!! Simply spike 45/65 degrees to your left Mr. professional arborist and gently roll them off the stem. =D
exactly
he was doing that shit the hard way because he charged too much and was milking it
Funny how it saids “ HoW A PR0fEsSIonAl”
I liked this video
it might not be 80' but it is a tall queen palm. good job on the work.
not a queen. its an Alexander palm
People dont realize that is 80. Squirrel feet.and he never turn the other way for easy cutting.
Change your title! Tree worker. NOT an arborist! And definitely not a pro by any means.
That's like a 50 to 60 pushing it with 60ft but good job
In my childhood I have seen Indians doing this faster with a sickle and ofcourse without wearing helmet. Two or three strikes with that sickle brought one branch down.... I m sure it was 10X more sharp than this damn chainsaw
no line. not worth the risk for myself. dudes nuts. impressive tho
Well as I count that dude cut down that tree in 8 seconds. He is a machine when it comes to a chainsaw but you need to watch Meth and a chainsaw, it can turn bad very quickly.
He opts to go at it without a climb line. i wonder why
Because he's not wishing to set a good example to real arborists
Where exactly would u set a climb line on a palm like that?
Just choke it around the trunk?
That is not 80 foot...............
A little bit unprofessional but very professional at the same time first time ever saying that
A professionist...only with the lineyard? ....if slide i tell you
no way that's 80' more like he's only 45' and the tree was only around 55'
His arm behind the bar?
4:52
How much did that cost?
1 cent
At 80 it'd start to be enough to give me the old puckered rusty sheriffs badge. Think his working height never touched 50 in this one.
80 feet is 8 stories. The foreground has a 2 story home. I doubt that tree was 5 - 6 stories higher.
At least he's wearing a helmet...
Roy Paroline As Seinfeld would say; “Can he AL,MOST make it?”
My luck the first seed branch that he pulled down for me would have had a thousand wasp in it
why u want to take that down
No way in hell is that 80 foot. IDK who you're trying to kid, but thats 40 foot tops.
80 foot? LOL...thats a 30 foot palm tree. 10 minutes? why so long?
Impressive
do that with a pine tree.............arborist......
One lanyard...no way
And he's never herd of a snap cut?
It probably has a steel cable on it
Why does everybody say eighty feet the title clearly says sixty five feet
Some people can’t read 😂
only one life line, man you have to have at least two
Maybe no oil in the saw...
that's not 80 feet no way
Ikr 😞
The guy has skill
Sounds like his chain is WAY to tight ! ...
WTF do you use to measure??? 80'??? That's a joke! Did a good job but the height isn't even half close,
80ft my ass!
So, wasn't it supposed to be a professional cutting that palm down? Didn't see him.!!
The power of humans
You are not a professional you are banging the chainsaw with the palm tree its like 30-40 ft tall
Palm trees make for lazy arborist. About as difficult as cutting down a telephone pole
It may be that the tree presents a hazardous situation for it to be cut down ... Depending on how you look at this scenario? To me, It's the opposite. Nature first, development an afterthought. Queen palm is very messy
no where near 80 foot. at the most is 35 40
He’s is no professional, accident waiting to happen!
So please tell me how expert I work in the tree business but that is 80 foot tall palm tree
Watched a guy only have one stap and he was moving arund and put anouther strap on but got confused and unhooked his first strap and moved arond tree and DROPED AND YOU COULD HERE IS LEGS BREAK ON VIDEO AND YELL O MY GOD?? Not 80 feets
That chain saw barely cuts.
20 M = 65.5’
More like 45 foot lol
That kind of palmtree never grows 80 feets. I'm a tree climber to, and that one is 20 or 30 feets maybe.
80 feet? more like 40. And that dude is no professional. One handing the saw, only one tie in point while cutting, and he doesnt even put the chain brake on before he drops the saw. OSHA would not like this.
More like 30 feet wtf
I cringe watching this... I'm scared hes going to fall ! no safety.. that's crazy !
25 feet lol
Not 80
lol MAYBE 40'
So what.
80 foot yeah ok
30 feet max. Very unsafe working practice.
ni;;djoy@@@
Whyyy did u cut that palm 😡🤬
You Got IT! Most have missed the point here?
