What a beautiful place to live! Paradise on Earth. People are so friendly and relaxed. The lush vegetation, blue skies and tropical beaches. Idyllic. Great camera work.

Michael Frederick it is beautiful. My thoughts are how can you own something in someone else land or continent. GOD did not put them their. The land was promised to our people. I would like to know how they came into owning this land? Where’s the history? Who they bought it from? I got it! They stole it & claimed it; just as they do everything else of significance. Mayotte is mixed of Arabic peoples( yemeni and Omani...), Swahili( Mozambique, Tanzanie, kenya), Indian and Asian (Malagasy) peoples. They have some indien influence like food( sambossa, beredre, bredes, sari et..)
That is why they speak dialect of swahilis and dialect of malagasy( shimaore/maoré and shibushi/kibushi).
That's why they are muslim and have arabian, bantoue and indien food and cloth also.
The Arabs and french went there
They are not mixed. They are 100 percent African.
