Hätte nicht gedacht, dass Taylor wirklich bis ins Finale kommt. Ich bin zwar kein großer Fan von ihm, aber eine ausergewöhnliche Karriere verdient auch einen ausergewöhnlichen Abschluss. Für Lewis ist die Niederlage leider etwas zu deutlich ausgefallen. Von einem Leistungseinbruch, der von vielen vorausgesagt wurde, war jedenfalls nichts zu sehen. Würde mich freuen, wenn er zukünftig auf dieser großartigen Turnierleistung aufbauen kann.
Yesterday I watched two of the greatest dart matches one could want to witness. The first was without doubt the greatest legend of all time in any sport Phil Taylor, 16 time world champion and a very good chance of making it 17 tomorrow in the final. (Australia time) Phil played and beat a man who no doubt is going to be a force in world darts in the years to come in Jamie Lewis. Phil though getting on in years now and gets a bit tired now by his own admission dug deep and beat the gritty Lewis though one might have to say nerves got the better of him. Then just when you thought it couldn't get any better along comes the Michael Van Gerwen - Rob Cross match, what a ripper of a match. Cross put so much pressure on Van Gerwen it put him right off his game, so now we have Phil the great playing Rob Cross, can't wait to see Taylor win his 17th and final darts world championship as he is retiring although if Cross plays as he did against Van Gerwen we might have a new world first time world darts champion
Mit erfahrung denke ich Lewis wird Taylors nachfolger, er ist noch jung und spielt nicht schlecht ! nur die erfahrung fehlt ihm. The Power 5:1 so wie wir Taylor kennen und lieben !!!
Und knapp 3 Jahre später ist Lewis nahezu on die Bedeutungslosigkeit gerutscht, konnte nun seine tourcard verlieren... ein verdammt schnelllebiges Spiel eben
All the stats would say different, averages, sets, which ever way you look at it Jamie came up a bit short, but credit given, it was a good match and the lad can only learn and get better from it.
