I simply adore your reviews! Your quirky remarks and sometimes pseudo-sarcasm always makes me smile. The six songs you love are indeed the best songs on the album, although I also really love the other five you dismiss as sounding too similar. I think they share that sublime quality you so accurately described about “Be Here Now”. I predict on subsequent listenings you will grow to like these songs much more.
Sorry I'm a little bit late to the party, I was gonna wait until I'd listened myself but saw it there this morning. Glad you liked it overall. It's an album I didn't around to buying back in the day, I was a teenager then and there were so many albums to buy in the early 70's. I have ordered the cd set and Bangladesh isn't on it, perhaps a remix will be on Bangladesh, apparently there's a remix in the pipeline. I do watch Andrew Dixon, but it's good to get different views, plus Andrew tends to like everything, including Beatles 64!
There was a nice deluxe reissue of this album in 2006 , it included Miss o dell and Deep Blue as bonus tracks also included a dvd featuring Give me love live in Tokyo 5.1 and video , also sue me acoustic, miss o dell alternative version and a living in the material world alternative version none of which appear on the new deluxe issue
(Love) Your take on things. I think you speak for all fans who want every album to be so much better (Than it actually is.) The triumph of hope (Over experience.) It's a (Beautiful) Thing.
Yes!! Exactly. I must have listened to it in the past (being a big Beatles fan) and I guess it didn’t resonate with me. But this new mix (and maybe me being older and wiser 😉 ) has made me appreciate this a lot more.
Great review completely agree with your comments about “Be here Now” such a great song, I really like LIMW I think,it pushes ATMP for his best solo album. I bought the double vinyl version but fancy the purple one too now I’ve seen it 😮
This may have already been pointed out but I suspect the reason Bangla Desh is absent is because Dhani has confirmed a new remixed version of the Concert is in the works - including film I believe.
@@dinnerwithgreedo They did an even weirder thing with the LPs in the box set. They included two thin cardboard sleeves with the cover art and then two polylined sleeves which don't fit in the cardboard sleeves.
No Bangladesh not on any new remix of Living in the material world only on the 2014 edition. Dhani Harrison says he is working on a new remix of the concert Bangladesh should be out in 2025 with new material! You need to give Living in the material world a second and Third listen you will like it better and like the songs you don't like! This is a good album probably his Second or third best after more listens you might give it a higher score possibly 8/10 This is not a hard rocking album but a spiritual thinking album I would give it 9/10 I do like all the songs. My favorites are Give me love and Try some buy some! Thanks you had a nice review real fair!
I’ve listened to it many times. I don’t buy albums I don’t like (anymore) so before I bought this I already knew I liked it enough to make a purchase. Actually, it was hearing the remix of Be Here Now that made my final decision. The outtake of Try Some Buy Some is really good. You should definitely check that out. Thanks for your comment.
@ Just making it truer to original. The polylined are better but I bet it don’t fit in brown inner sleeve. The super deluxe has polylined inners and separate paper outer sleeves. It would have been better with a proper album cover as polylined sleeves don’t quite fit.
Just watched your channel for first time and thought your review was quite good , you sounded a bit like the old grey whistle test reviews of years ago, but would have like it kept straight without the throwaways as these were distracting from a decent review.
I would rather watch you over Andrew Dixon. Do you know why?? Because you give honest reviews of Beatles and solo projects that come out and Dixon is too much of a complete fanboy for me to trust him Sorry if he’s your friend but if you don’t like something you say it
He’s not a friend but his channel is something I really enjoy and find informative. I especially like when he does his World Cups and gets everyone involved. I guess if you don’t trust his reviews, there’s plenty of other stuff he does (the World Cups) that are knowledgeable and fun.
@ He has a very informative channel you’re right about that and is probably a very nice guy I’m just finding out that too many of the Beatles channels won’t criticize anything about some of the stuff Apple or the solo releases we get Your a Beatles fan but you criticize some of the things that they have released if it bothers you Just my humble opinion I guess
That’s true. I’ll call out blatant attempts at taking advantage of fans. That £1350 Mind Games boxset really annoyed me. And then that Mind Game Meditation mixes!! Unbelievable. And don’t get me started on the McCartney 3 3rd Anniversary releases. THIRD!! Sheesh!
I love your ramblings!! You make my day, Greetings from Australia.
Hello Australia!! Thank you!

Thank you. Very kind.
Yeah I think because I listened to it (with fresh ears) all at once, the similarities were more apparent.

The Bangladesh remix is on the upcoming Bangladesh album (apparently).
Thanks for the comment! Happy New Year!!
"Thanks for that!". Love it.

GREAT VIDEO!...as usual 11/11 xxx
Thank you!!
'Now what' - absolutely agree!

Hi
This album was never a favourite of mine, but the clarity in this remix makes it more enjoyable for me.
Take care.

Go for it!! Just don’t drop it!
👍🙂
11/11 for me love all the songs .
What's your favourite on the album?
This may have already been pointed out but I suspect the reason Bangla Desh is absent is because Dhani has confirmed a new remixed version of the Concert is in the works - including film I believe.
Yeah… I figured it out in the end. Makes sense too.
@dinnerwithgreedo Fair, now that is a product I AM excited about...
The brown vinyl sleeve is a replica of the original inner sleeve , which you probably knew anyway
Yeah I figured that was the case, but why not just make that the ‘poly sleeve’ (or whatever they’re called)? Seems odd to me.
The original pressings had the brownish/gold inner sleeve, along with the lyric sheet.
Yeah I figured that was the case. Just don’t know why there are two sleeves in there.
@@dinnerwithgreedo They did an even weirder thing with the LPs in the box set. They included two thin cardboard sleeves with the cover art and then two polylined sleeves which don't fit in the cardboard sleeves.
Ha. Well that’s dumb.

welcome back seems like a eternity since your last video.
Thank you!! I was waiting for this album. I did release a song... but like I say in the video, no-one watched it. Ha ha!!
@@dinnerwithgreedo i did watch it and yeah i didnt like it 🤣 left a bitter taste.
Damn it!!
The brown inner is because the original album came with it.
Yeah…. but why not just make that the poly lined sleeve? Seems odd to have 2 sleeves.

@ Well this is what I’ve done. I’ve got a poly sleeve and I’ve put everything in the brown one. It all fits (just) and it’s now on the shelf.

George’s worst album!😖
Oh wow…. you reckon? Worse than Extra Texture?
@@dinnerwithgreedoSo here’s the taste of music.. for me Extra Texture has something special!👌🏽
@ I might review all his albums. But to be honest… I think Harrison is very hit and miss.
