But why not just scan with the healing cap removed, as in the medit manual. Then screw the scan-body in, select the scan-mode for scan-bodys and just scan over it, medit software will make the matching by itself. These steps in the video are mostly unnecessary and make no sense. 🙂

They may not know how to handle the healing cap for scanning and may cause shrinkage of the emergence profile by scanning for a long time after removing the healing cap. We have suggested a safer way to scan only the emergence profile after removing the healing cap. If you are proficient in oral scanning, it is recommended to follow the Medit manual as it is more convenient. Thank you for your feedback.

I agree. There is no need to block the gum area around the implant to scan the scanbody.
