Hi please help, i changed my voltage regulator with bearings on the alternator, the only thing i didnt change was the slip ring, now a week later it seems like its not charging the battery. Do you think i should change the slip ? It didnt look too bad vut perhaps the old groves will damage the new brushed im not sure its my first time doing this thank you

I watched another guy just break the whole thing many times using a vice, then he was able to just hammer it off the shaft with a screw driver.
