Looking at it from a fish’s perspective that legitimately seems like the plot of a horror movie. I mean Alien creatures turning your rotting corpse into an animatronic lure with the intent of using you as bait to catch others of your own kind sounds like a million dollar movie/book idea.

In 81 my Dad had a bait store and I noticed in an ordering catalog a spring loaded lured where 2 grabber hooks popped out from the sides like arms hugging. They were quickly outlawed but I sure wish I would've gotten one just for the novelty. Anyways luv the tech.
