Chili Recipe:
Ingredients: (can double or triple)
* 1 pound ground sausage
* 1 pound ground beef
* 1 can Rotel
* 1 can pinto (jalapeño bacon dude perfect)
* 1 can butter bean
* 1 can chili bean
* 1 can beef broth
* 1 can tomato soup, condensed is fine
* 1 onion chopped
* 1 green pepper chopped
* 1 red pepper chopped
* Favorite rub for the meatball (Voodoo from Meat Church or anything you like)
* Chili seasoning whole pack
1. Combine meat into ball and season heavily with favorite rub.
2. Combine everything else in a pan. Hit it with chili seasoning to taste.
3. Set the smoker to 250° F. Once the smoker is to temp put the oven-safe pot and meatball on the smoker. Be sure the meatball is directly over the chili.
4. Smoke the chili and meatball for 1 hour at 250° F.
5. After one hour turn up the smoker temperature to 325° F and cook until the meatball has reached 150° F internally (about 1-1.5 hours).
6. Once the meatball reaches 150° F remove the meatball from the smoker and break up the meatball into small chunks to add back into the chili.
7. Add the broken-up ground meat into the chili pot and stir to incorporate the meat throughout the chili.
8. After the meat has been incorporated, smoke the chili for 30 minutes at 325°. Be sure to stir occasionally.
9. After 30 minutes, remove from the smoker and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
10. Serve with toppings of your choice and enjoy your over-the-top smoked chili!

Awesome!
Just made this and it was impressive! Full of flavor and actually pretty easy to make. Everyone loved it. Thanks for the great recipe
That is so awesome to hear!!! Glad it was enjoyable!
Good stuff
Tried this last night. I didn't have any green bell peppers so I used 2 Jalapeños without the seeds. There was no leftovers. Thank you for this video.
Awesome!!
Looks good mate, gunna give it crack. Cheers
Hope you enjoy!
I agree that this chili does need a little crack added to it. Great otherwise!
Looks delicious! Nice work!
Thanks!!! It was :)
so what rub is best for meatball your SPG or Voodoo ?
Made this and we ate almost all of it, now its time to go win my own companies chili cook off 😉
Nice!! Thanks for the feedback! Go win it!
where did you get the mod for the back of your GS800?
That’s from klotesmods :)
An interesting recipe but I don't use beans in my chili
Can you recommend a good spg seasoning blend thank you
If you're looking for a pre-made SPG, I personally love Meat Church Holy Cow or Suckledusters SPG. My "Smoking SPG" recipe is in the description I think for this video. I personally love it!
Why do use msg?
@@tank5944 because it’s the king of flavor :)
What size Dutch oven seven or 8 quart?
Seven. Link in description :)
Strange. Everyone has an award winning chili
Ha! It’s true :)
Corn Bread recipe?
I think it was a simple box recipe from a mix, I’ve been playing with some options for this fall. It’s great smoked!
You really should have shown a final shot of the chili when it was all done before putting it into the bowl. You skipped over the most important part. I waited the whole video just to see you stir your final product and serve it into a bowl. That was disappointing.
Sorry about that. I'll do better :) Thanks for the feedback!
Please use a can of tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes instead of tomato soup. There are seasonings and flavors in tomato soup that have NO business being in a chili.
That’s your opinion :) everyone else loved it. I’ll try something different next time :) cheers!
The tomato soup idea, although definitely not a standard ingredient for standard chili, is extremely popular in over the top chili specifically. This is by no means the only OTT chili video using tomato soup. Not sure why it works for this application so well, but it just does for some reason.
