  • A quick look at the 7 piece screwdriver set from Wiha.
Nice quality set made in Germany with the comfortable to use softfinish handles. The rubber on these has a nice soft feel and enough grip to enhance torque for me. The only thing I would like to see is for them to increase the size of the icons on the base of each driver. This will make it easier to see which driver you need in a tool bag with low light conditions.

I bought a set of these. I now own over a dozen. My favourite screwdrivers.
The handle won a design award for ergonomics.
The grip feels very similar to a cricket ball, leather over wood if that helps people. A really nice grip.

Yes it does have that feeling of the cricket ball 😁 so it's firm enough but also grippy. Wiha always seen to impress me these days.

I started buying Wiha bits from Axminster Tools 20 odd years ago. I was so impressed with how well the bits fitted I got into the full screwdrivers.
You mentioned below about VDE, they do a lovely slim version. Worth a look.

Both Wiha and Wera make some of the very best hand tools. Of course there are manufacturers that make even higher end tools (PB Swiss for one, I mean who doesn't like tools that smell good). But Wiha and Wera are the most widely available and affordable quality tools of the lot. This is a really nice set. I still think the Wiha SoftFinish CentroFix 76000 is the best multi driver on the market.

Whia tools are now not exclusively making their tools in germay anymore so i would be cautious when buying for the purpose of german quality

That makes me sad. Thank you for this I will have to read all the small print now which is very annoying 😤

I have both Wiha and Wera, not sure which I like the best.

I like the Wera handles even though I have channel viewers who hate that design. But I think if they tweaked them a bit they could make the soft bit bigger. I will happy use both handle types. How are the Wera tips wearing? Any issues or usual nice quality?

Aha! Ok then that seems like the answer. I tried looking on Wiha site with no luck. I love the nice handles on these ones and they will be going on my main work bag in combo with a VDE set.
