- Опубликовано: 18 фев 2024
- We partnered with local Dark artist Rob Czar from the @RobCzar RUclips Channel to brew the world's darkest beer. This beer was brewed with an absurd amount of dark malt (midnight wheat, chocolate wheat malt, chocolate malt, black malt, carafa iii, and black patent).

bro smelling the hops like a proper crackhead
The antics were a but much. I know he came back from the dead but cmon
rob was definitely that kid that needed constant supervision. look away for 1 second and he's drawing on the walls or committing unlawful home invasion.
I missed Rob, im so glad he's active n RUclips again😊
on the scale of beer disasters 1-11, that spill was a 0.0001. I've had dark beer sprayed up my 14' ceiling wall...
Libby, please stop comment on your own videos!
@@ClawhammerSupply Lol
One time my brother and I brewed a beer and he put it in "party pigs" (not sure if that is still a brewing thing), basically pressurized plastic vessels to dispense the beer, and they came with these cradles with nylon handles and as he came down the steps to the basement with the party pig of beer, he slowed down but the party pig's momentum kept it going, and it fell 10 feet, hit the concrete floor, punctured, and created this laser beam of pressurized beer that was rotating/spinning around spraying beer on the floor, walls, ceiling, everywhere. That also is much worse than the beer spill in this video.

Can sanitized. Rob proceeds to blow in it. Lmaoo
the chaos of this episode is top notch.
The most wholesome brewing channel of all time. Wouldn’t miss a video.
I would also have difficulty not sampling the multiple taps taunting me at 830 am.
I once had the misfortune of drinking a pint of Okocim Porter, which made the room darker when the server brought it out to the table. This looks darker, and judging by your reactions, tastes a helluva lot better! Wish I could try one!
@10:18 A wee bit over-served watching this and realizing Emmet is my spirit animal
all the editing regarding the spill is sending me. great job hahah
the cats... I needed that laugh.
"I've never taken a gravity reading.. are there boots involved?" 😂
17:09 I laughed so hard on emmet's "dude, nice"
Thought bubble was accurate
Was curious on the length for this one, because of the typical length of one of your videos, after watching it, i see why it's 47min long, literally nothing to cut out, a very entertaining video start to finish, cheers!
3:52 use to love going to that brewery! Those glasses scream Asheville, NC lol! I use to go there in my 20s every year for my birthday.
15:28 me when I crack open my fresh dispo oz of og kush
I, too, was in dry January. And December, most of November, all through February and into April. At least I can watch Clawhammer while I wait to get back stateside and start brewing again.
Kyle's laugh 22:46 was epic 😂
The instant you laid that hose into the fermenter and let go I thought 'I hope it doesn't fall out'.
Been Watching Rob for a while now, such a cool collaboration. Cheers and GFY!
Beating my hog furiously, great upload fellas!
A story of "I died and came back to life" really needs the key detail of what killed him!
coming from Rob's channel, loved the collab
Art is sick. Great collab.
Great team up... all 'round!
I wish I could try that beer! Cocoa and dark malt sounds wonderful!
This is a fun group, do it again!
You just earned a new subscriber!
Great idea !
subbed. Really cool set up you guys have
Great video
The Czech's are awesome. They really know how to cook a brew. *Kozel* is the Best Beer Ever.
"I've never taken a gravity reading before...are there boots involved?" Hahahaaa
Libby can flip a mean bird. Well done.
Rob Czar is a wondering icon. This guy started on MTV following metal festivals, reinvented himself on RUclips doing Thread Banger um died then became an artist.
Rob is Cool, cheers guys 🍻
Flipping the bird while exiting.... I felt that and I'm totally for it. 🤣🤣🤣
7:57 beauty comes from things like that sometimes. Wow amazing story!
Where on Clawhammers website does it show the address of the Clawhammer supply warehouse or shipping from address of their equipment?
"Can I get drunk off what's going on here, now?" 😂😂😂 I feel ya man, me too 😂😂
I brewed this before but with spruce tips! It was awesome!
Damn this guy just started ?? That’s impressive as hell
I don’t understand why Kyle isn’t allowed to brew at home 😂
Came for the brewing, stayed for the chaos. Don't know why I wasn't subscribed before but, that has since been rectified 🍻
rob joined the ranks of us YOLO deniers, gz on coming back man
I made a beer from squid ink. Very, very dark.
How was the taste??
@@jasonsnyder6696 I was kidding.
@@CrazyAboutVinylRecords We actually considered this but all signs were pointing to it tasting like fish. Yuck!
I judged a stout with cuttlefish ink last year. It was a little salty. Not bad.
I love these "Let's brew a beer? I guess?" Brew Day videos
Loved it
Yay! Robs here! ❤
came for curiosity, staying for the editor being their sassy passive aggressive self, and the KNAWLEDGE of this stuff, but definitely, that passive aggressive editing is FUCKING great.
Emmett and the cats got me so bad. Great video guys.
That guy is awesome. Reminds me of one of my best bros who is also an artist, graphic designer/ bjj purple belt, mma fighter.😅
I love rob been whaching him since befor he died
I made a 20% roasted malts imperial stout this November at 10% ABV I targeted 12% so it ended up a bit syrupy but I expected a mutch more extreme result!
Leo
Awesome vid, I was crying LOL
I soooooo wanna brew this 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video! Rob gives off Mark Normand vibes.
I love how Rob lives the experi3nces viewers are also intrigued by so we get to think less about doing it ourselves. He's been very missed! Please collab more-redemption arc where rob is canning things to code and sanitizing?
Looking back at my first attempt at an imperial stout is hilarious. I thought the more dark grains the better. Picture a Kalamazoo stout and multiply the acrid bitterness x3. I thought it just needed some aging to settle down. It never settled. Sooo nasty!
Maaan that coffee was coming out waaaay too fast!! 😂
Haha. Good eye.
@@ClawhammerSupply I have the exact same machine hehe
@JordanHexican Pro tip, don't use beans after they're like 3 months old.......! That was the last of the bag, fortunately.
@@ClawhammerSupply yea I get through 500g in under 2 months...
That can looks awesome btw
That looked like hard work 🤣 I find spraying mould remover on beer stained walls works realy well.
thinking of the name prior to hearing it, I was thinking "Darkest Days", the thought being "A Dark Brew for your Darkest Days" which I find hilarious how Rob QUITE literally thought the exact same thing when they made this video.
yay dark minds think strangely alike! he does dark art, I do dark creatures that I'll *Never use in DND because NO PLAYERS :D!*
I miss Ross. And cheers to the dying part. A few of us have passed and come back. I left then came back. It's a liberating experience.
We miss him too. And woah!!! Glad you're back!
what did you learn.?
To not get blown up. And to not fear death. A lot of freedom was gained afterwards. @298adam
@ClawhammerSupply please do a video on making a gruit.
Claw Hammer figured out a way to get people to watch a 40 minute brew video 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🍻🍻
Rob wants that bag of hops to be weed in the worst way.
His art looks so fucking cool
The darkest beer I ever had was by Little Creatures, they did a winter small batch about 10 years ago, called Dreadnaught. Man it was like honey... it poured like honey, you couldn't see any light through it, they had to recall all the bottles because they were exploding in the bottle shops. After this everyone demanded that they bring the Dreadnaught back, so they did... but it was horrific. Different conditions and ingredients I guess.
Dudes choking victim shirt almost missed it
The hops and cannabis crossover is so significant that it would be a crime NOT to start making beers with the more aromatic cannabis strains. Imagine the money capitalism could bilk out of the hipsters! I can almost smell it now.
I know its fun, but its interesting too.
I just spotted "English Ale Cider" on the backboard, can you please tell me if that is an ale or cider, or a snakebite mix?
Dark rainbow, my brain went to Heligoland
back in the beginning of my distilling adventure... i decided to experiment with specialty malts. i thought itd be a great idea to use a ton of chocolate malt. like 8lbs of it. when i was done i should have just drank the wort. it tasted like a russian imperial stout. it distilled ok, foamy, but it tasted better as a wort.
can you do a video all about your fermentation chamber?
Here from robs channel I'm a new sub now loved it 🙌🫶😆
Nah man, that's definitely not the darkest beer out there! Have you seen... 😅😅
Nice one!
Need a Rob & Ross collab brew day, stat!
My wife and I watched threadbangers all the time and that was insane. The demon cloud of pollen rolled in and took him out. Kind of blew my mind when this video started.
Please just leave a 4 pack at the burial to go fridge.
Dark Daze.
Get a sale connection with the band Coal Chamber and you guys got something fierce.
I did a NEIPA two years ago called Dark Daze. The experiment was to make the blackest beer but obviously with the most fruit like characteristics. Yeaaaaah…back to the drawing board on that one because it just ended up a stelllar black IPA. Good, but not what I wanted.
I laughed my asss off
The key to that kind of sanitation is so dip the cans so they are fully immersed then drain the solution and let the cans air dry. They time required for sir drying is the time is takes to sanitize the cans. It you since the sand in sterile water you have unsanitized cans. If you dry the cans in warm air you have unsanitized cans.
Restaurants are notorious for speeding up the “sanitation” of dishes and glass wear after washing by rinsing the dishes after “sanitizing” then drying. Why? Because air-drying the sanitizer solution takes time. But the air-drying is when the sanitization takes place.
What was the SRM on the calculator??. ❤ Looks great
104 without the cocoa powder. We added that on the fly at the end of the brewday. I'll have to add it to beersmith.
@@emmetleahydo y’all actually have the tool to test? I was guessing over 300 (pure guess only, not credible) with that flash light being blocked out. I’m sure the calculator is close enough, but having the exact would be nice.
Is it dry in texture/taste?
@@emmetleahysounds like awesomeness
Nice badmo barrels;)
Hops and Weed being cousin plants shows up in the funniest of ways. Bro turned into Seth Rogan smelling that bag.😆
a 5.5 gal beer of 5 lbs munich malt and 10 lbs midnight wheat would have an srm of 160 with an abv of 6.85% using nottingham ale yeast and mashing at 149f. i don't think you guys are even trying.
Captain CrossFit lolololol
still in awe of the beard.
ALLRIGHT priceless
The princes of darkness!
OMG in the trial jar it looked like crude oil super dark and thick.poor Libby she won’t do that again after that roasting 😂🤣as a paramedic here in the UK I’m super curious how Rob died ?? Presumably if I go to his RUclips channel he references it ? The beer looks beautiful absolutely loved the label absolutely loved the video absolutely loved Rob absolutely loved the content absolutely loved the videography and editing absolutely love all of you guys ( and breath ) nice work again cheers 👍🍻
if you like really dark beers then you probably like to chew your Tylenol
as a home brewer, this episode really erked me
bro got a cup of evil juice
Cool as men!
What's the actual estimated color (SRM) rating of the beer?
Plugging the recipe into Beersmith around 84 SRM (assuming the CaraMunich is CaraMunich III)? That IS pretty bananas dark!
Should be VERY low enzyme content with that grist.
Guinness is made with 10% Roast Barley (20% Flaked Barley, 70% Pale malt); 20% isn't super extreme, depending upon what dark malts are included...
This makes me want to add 20 oz of Weyermann Sinamar to a simple Pilsner+Munich beer blend just to clear 100 SRM.... Pretty fun thing to do, honestly, guys!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🍻
Rob's organic human yeast beer
I keep coming back to obsidian stout.
