Had the same process! Started trying my luck with mead (which turned out pretty bad tbh) and then got into beer, which I gotta say, I'm a little bit better
I am a mead guy through and through. But I brewed my first beer with Man Made Mead on the claw hammer system. I must say I was impressed with it, and I am now considering getting one so I can brew beer as a homebrewer since I am going commercial as a meadery.
Raise the ladder a couple of rungs higher. It gives you more to hold onto while you are stepping on it to come down. And make sure someone's holding the bottom of the ladder.
I brewed a rye Braggot about two months ago and had it aging in the fermenter. I had some Pellicle in it when I was bottling a few days ago. I wasn’t able to bottle half a gallon until today due to moving. I saw raspberry beer video Where they had a pellicle and it turned out great, so I added a pound and a half after racking into a 1 gallon fermenter today. Looking forward to the results.😁
So it's been my experience, to get anything from the honey, you'll need to back sweeten. It would be interesting to try a Brute style braggot, and then back sweeten to maybe the 15ish range with the honey you used in primary. Of course keep it cold in the keg to slow any secondary fermentation.
Great job 👍And the next Braggot should be a super dark burnt bochet/mead/porter style beer 🍺 Been thinking of doing that myself. Has anyone tried that ?😲
@@emmetleahy ok because I just did a brew where I added 1lb of honey at flameout. Can it be considered a braggot? That’s not what I was going for btw and I hadn’t heard of one until recently.
@@BellofattoBrews I'm guessing most folks are going to say you want to have around 50% honey for it to be considered a braggot. Again, I was not able to find any rules on the style. At the end of the day it is homebrew and you can call it whatever you want.
It was a blast y’all! Can’t wait to do it again!
An awesome collab between the RUclipsr that got me into fermentation and the RUclipsrs that got me into brewing beer! Keep it up bros.

Legendary collab!
Libby is killin it. Give that gurl a raaaaaise.
Another great video with awesome editing (rock on, Libby!)! The oats were likely clutch in this Braggot too. Definitely want to try this recipe later!
Mentioning Golden Hive and Doin the most in the same video is funny
big fan of his channel and your channel!
Emmett going down the ladder is so panic inducing and relatable.
Wild to see the guys who got me into homebrewing in general collab with the guy who got me into meadmaking lmao.
This is awesome!!
Literally Mead
This is sooo exciting! Love you both!
Easily one of my fav episodes
This is wild, I was planning to make a braggot myself.
😂😂😂😂😂 Emmett sheds too much
Just back, drunk from a beer festival. Feeling the vibes.
I could at least hear Libby, so I’ll give a thumbs up 👍🏼

Good to see the prince back on camera 👍
Would love to see a collab with you and the basic brewing guys
Emmet climbing down a ladder IPA!!!

Emmits beard trim is looking clean
Emmit was about a quarter inch away from catching his heel on that ladder and causing an earthquake.

Haha! I’ve always thought he looked like Glen Howerton!
At last, a decent mead maker on this channel.
I've been meaning to make a mead for years.. It's time to get this done.
The thumbnail 🤣💀
Now that I’ve watched all the way through,
1. This was awesome!
2. Where’s the tacos!?
Man Made Mead is the best! but cant wait for Baby Made Mead
Can you link the recipe or add to video description?
Maybe the sense was the friends we made along the way?

Does it matter how much honey you use for it to be considered at braggot?
Not that I could find. This recipe had 40.7% honey

Kyle finally making gains, can def tell he’s over 40
44. The old man strength is taking hold.
@@ClawhammerSupply😂🎉
Wait are you all using a counter flow chiller instead of a plate chiller these days? Is the kit changing?
Can we please get a Clawhammer shirt that says "Get the Gay Day Going"
As a Lesbian homebrewer, mead maker, and beverage condenser, I’d buy that Fo Sho!
What kind of zinc tablets do you guys use?
how did you get ryan gosling to collab on a brew with you?
Wooooo, maybe 6 months without watching our videos, and WHY are you looking so old ?????
No one likes IPA’s. Hipsters pretend to because they’ve been told it’s cool.
The dude looks like a dollar general Henry Cavill lol
