Patriotism is always a good thing for the country, and people living in it. Racisms or xenophobia has nothing to do with patriotism. Patriotism is simply the deep attachment to a certain geographical area or areas. It has nothing to do with race, ethnicity, bloodline, etc. Norway's National Day is the best resemblance of this. You can see people from all difference races carrying Norwegian flags while wearing traditional clothing.
