@@Dorkyand40 awesome thanks. I wish I had better content lol. But I’m glad my tune is helping. Best time I got out of my 4.5t was 2.400 @ 56. So you are definitely headed in the right direction. Good luck this weekend. 🤙😄
Today was my second day out with my DR10 with DRK160 and Trinity Dragmaster 5-turn from RotorRon, I can assure you there is plenty left in your combo, just keep testing and be sure to record all changes
You need the Max Amps 4350... I've seen guys go 65+ mph with a 4.5t it's all about voltage ⚡⚡.. it takes power to make power. You can gain mph just by changing batteries. Also if your car is running the same times with a smaller pinion then I would go back to that. Smaller pinion will have less amp draw which should help with voltage sag
Hey what's good I have the Tekin 4.5 turn I use 85 punch. You said that Lil advance should pick it up. I ran 1 time a 2.75 49 mph. Traxxas rear 83 23. Imma go up on pinion. You think that would be good to do with that Tekin (advance) thanks, dude. Oh, yea I'm doing that 3 stage set up it seems to work for me. Your video help big time thanks.
if you have a drk then you set your stages and percentage. so if your at 70 percent at stage 4 then thats where it will start adding turbo in at the slew rate you choose on top of the stage throttle percent adavnce
Quick question is it better to get max rpms at the end of the run or does it matter the reason I ask is say ur motor can do 70,000 rpm max is it good to try and get that or stay around it I look at like a real motor you don't want to recline basically every time u hurt the motor more what's your thought
so ive got the same ET and MPH at 70k rpms and at 50k rpms. gearing and 132feet are tricky. from what ive seen and learned if you gear the car and apply the rules im using then you can use lower rpms and get beter or the same times since its not stressing the system and voltage as much. some may disagree but unless you have apremium motor i think this is the best way to go as the data proves it
@@Dorkyand40 I agree with you 100% I need to purchase the gnss system to really see what my 3.5t hobbywing motor can do right now all I can do is the eye test and run against some of my buddies cars with similar motor size and mine is quicker but I need real data anyways thanks for the info
@@Dorkyand40 ahh ok .. I just got my maclan system with their 3.5T motor and 8300mah 2S5P 200c battery.. Its a rocket ship 😂 after putting smooth curve over the 7 stages it hooks and goes pretty straight. Its gonna take me a little time getting use to pulling the throttle wide open and letting it do its thing but i put down some pretty nice runs .
Help would be nice got a brand new drk 160 esc with a trinity 3.5t plug it in no lights in the esc or receiver but the maclan link works and the fan runs have you had this issue?
Hey Chad. So the 5 stage that now been added with the firmware I don't like. I like the 3 stage setup. I'm confused on setup now and tryn to figure out set up turbo and the slew rate. Can I somehow email you.
It will get blocked if I enter it here but there is a messaged built in to RUclips somewhere? But my advice and what people are doing now is to bring in a low amount of turbo say 20 deg around 70% throttle with 0 delay and the lowest slew rate. Then play with those numbers increasing them while looking at logs and voltage drops and rpms. The stages is all about the car and road for launch. So starting at 35-50 for 1 and increasing them 15-20 per stage. The stage times can either grow with time or decrease. Seems like everyone’s car is different. So you can have stage 1 last .3 seconds and decrease on the way up to say .5 on stage 5 or you can go the opposite. So .1 .15 .2 .25 and .3. Hopefully I can play more with new motor today before my race tomorrow.
@@Dorkyand40 Thank you so much. Especially for breaking it down for me. I plan on racing today Imma try to do what you suggest. I'll keep you posted. I love the RC community nothing but love.

@@tq5924 it will work but maybe not the best. i just tried a 3T trinity last night and didnt have a lot of luck. maybe if i spent more time with it and had my super maxamps packs im waiting on it would but unless you have a lot of time and some cash to blow i would stick with a 3.5 for now..3T means everything must be better..maybe even a 1/8 scale esc..some have it working though..im not giving up on it
@@powermadracing5116 That depends on how much traction you have. Low punch=smooth gradual shifts. High punch (100)=hard fast shifts. You want punch as high as the road will take. I’d start at like 70 then increase it until the road won’t take anymore.
@@powermadracing5116 No that’s turbo. I was talking about throttle punch. Start low and work your way up. Turbo is a more complicated discussion lol. I have a chassis dyno on the way. After some testing with it I will have more hard evidence about when to bring in the turbo. I still think it’s going to be determined by track conditions.
Thanks for the shout out. Your car is pretty dialed you can definitely bump up power in the first stages.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed punch around 70 75 works best at least on my set up.
Think 40 is about my max on this road before my spur stripped. Super useful. I’ll add your channel on the description and post it next video
