Some people highlight the red marks on his back & shoulders due to scars from hard training. A former military man revealed that he also has scars like that from serving in the military, and the cause can be marching while carrying heavy military gear, or because of crawling on a mountain, or because of being burned by a long rope while climbing up.
Another relative of a Korean Taehyung fan confirmed about the scars as well. Additionally, the SDT's black wear weighs 20 kg. So, people need to stop downgrading Taehyung knowing all the hardship.

I’m a military spouse so I’m gonna put this here to better inform you guys. These men do INTENSE training of course. But under the surface of what you know these soldiers do PT which is 2-5 mile runs (sometimes more) depending on their unit. They go rucking where they carrying LARGE ASF heavy bags that put pressure in the exact places those bruises are. They run or walk a long time with that gear on their backs, sweating, rubbing the skin raw, wearing them down. These men also go to the “field” a process where they are in the wilderness and simulate training of deployments. They go on missions where they do heavy things. Soldiers have to be steady gaining weight and working out. They will be bruises and beaten. I know he’s a idol and wants media to see it as “gua sha” but I promise you that is 90% FOR SURE from rucking or heavy lifting of sorts. Lets not forget in the II Corps. A military officer as it claims. He is wearing IOTV which is a bullet vest. I’ve picked my husbands up and it can be heavy. I commend him for working away so toughly. He’s earned his ranking as a platoon commander.
