How yall feel about the potential 2k25 myplayer builder?
worst thing they could do. If they got rid of takeovers & introduced something similar to goat skills like in myCareer then i wouldn't be made. Mb i different goat skill ladder every new season.
It's going to be the same as 24 with a few tweaks. Nothing wrong with the builder, was actually pretty solid.

A free 99 build and bs is cool with me. I rather make my own build for free. I picking the build with 95 strength and 71 ft off the rip.

i don’t like demi’s idea. havin your player surpass the template u created could be okay if it was only by alittle, but drastic changes is not a good idea at all. even if it’s like the badge regression system, it’s too flimsy of a system.
Agreed. Every year that we have had demigods people complain and now people want them back😭😭 there needs to be limits on builds abilities or else the game dies and gets stale

@@Wrestle_Kingdom I know. I’m saying builds WERE the issue when everyone had a 6’8 demigod in 2k23. Build system is actually good in 2k24 but gameplay, rep system, community, etc are all ass. They shouldn’t bring back the ability to make demigods for 2k25 even tho that is potentially a reality
@@Wrestle_Kingdom the build system has a part to play in the gameplay being bad. Animation requirements need to be tweaked and the system needs to have another element that decides what kind of player the myplayer will be (like pie charts or archetypes). this would make the game more diverse and not have everyone play the same. and get rid of in game takeover selection, that was terrible.
@@TrentPowers-gs8zithe builder in 2k24 is flawed in its design. piecharts and archetypes are superior in allowing for diversity. which is a major component to creating a fun 2k. freestyle builders are cool in theory, but it boring to play ppl that are good at everything every single game. 2k24 is alot better of a system than 23, but it’s still flawed. i hate looking at a builds three pointer and height and knowing exactly how it will play.

As I've stated before on a few other channels regarding NBA2K25, all the Devs need to do is combine the best from both worlds. What I'm getting at is taking the badge point/tier level system from NBA2K22-23, and the versatile attribute cap design from 2K24, while also revising/reworking the physical attribute caps, then integrate it all as one. From that point, you'll have a incredibly better, more enjoyable player builder system that would be balanced, smart and accurate, while at the same time presenting "realistic limitations" in order to reduce the number of OP Builds on the constant basis.

If they want people to play year round, the best possible solution for EVERYONE would be to get 1 free 90ovr build per season.
People that are addicted to spending money will still make multiple builds off the rip, but everyone else would have a reason to come back every season and potentially pay $20 for the season pass to get the build to 99.

If that’s true builder free and u just gotta grind ya ass off in my career I don’t see a problem. Being able to do everything score every type of way with your player is gonna be fun we actually get to be superstars instead of role players

My opinion is that 2k needs to add some competitive ranks to the online games because is useless when you have all player mixed and play together in the city with a different overalls, skills, etc..

since we’re jus throwing ideas they should make it to where the way you get your overall higher is you get quest for each overall and the higher your overall gets the more difficult the quest
Builder isn’t fun anymore all builds can basically do the same thing bring back archetypes tried of the 85 ball handle 90 steal 90 dunk and 86 3pt builds bring back diversity in matchups if it’s the same builder as the last 2ks Im not buying ngl something gotta change😂

The builder don’t matter as much as players think it does. The gameplay makes the builder not the other way around until 2k players understand them they will understand the builder doesn’t matter and it the gameplay that’s makes your player good not the builder, but me personally the best builder to use would be 2k 14-17 very simple not complex
Their has always been op builds especially if you’re good you can do everything regardless of being limited

Sounds like a horrible idea. You're going to see Slashers shooting 1/14 from 3 then say everyone else is the problem, because they're personally trying to have a 99 3. Radom Rec is going to be 10x worse
And remember if it say you gotta make 300 3pt shots to go from 79 to a 80 3pt you gotta make em no just shot em lol
I kinda miss archetypes, I wanted these build to stop getting sold by randoms & be able to do more stuff to carry but they still bad with five 85 stats & I can’t care against 85 3pt, 85 steal, 85 perimeter & 87 layup or 94 dunk
At least with archetypes one game I was ankle breaking, next game a lock on me I’m passing more & spotting up then a slasher rim run while I 3 hunt, then a pure playmaker breaking my ankle
now every game feel similar, we can’t get no fire ankle breakers because everybody has 85 perimeter
dribbling slick axx we do a hitch every time we run out a size up or breakdown

I don't like that idea if it let your stats go to 99 but a little difference like if you are a big with no perimeter defense bit you are always on the perimeter it should go up as you play not to 99 but a decent cap tho
They just dont give you enough VC per game and the prices are too, with the curretn VC prices builds should be MAX 75k to upgrade imo
Just start us at 80 overall and make it cost less to upgrade, simple

The best build i ever had waa my 6'7 on 2k16 with the practice boost plust the park boost. But the second best was 21 i had a 6'8 that could do everything

I’m thinking what he saying is say if my 6’7 SG at 99 but my 3 ball only at 79 but the cap was a 85 but because I wanted to have more defense better dribbling and a little inside I couldn’t max my 3ball nor dunk for that build I think we would be able to grind to get to whatever that max cap was depending on height and wingspan of your build

I literally only buy 2k every other year and have seen no improvements
I personally don’t like the idea of this. The idea of the builder was to try and eliminate cheesers, which I know is a small % of the community, but it still doesn’t make it fun for the rest of us. I like the builder the way it is now. If you want 92 three and 90 speed with ball, well you better know how to get up the court and get your shot off. If you have 91 steal and 94 perimeter, you better be prepared to most likely not be that good a finisher. The idea you need to make a meta build to be competitive is simply not true, at least for rec. pro am is different but in ProAm, everyone makes the same builds anyway; this is nothing new. That’s why I prefer Rec; there’s more diversity in builds and teams play differently
