    Hey brother. Hope all is well with you and your family. To be honest, every buyer is different.. I make a lot of different kind of music and sometimes buyers like something I think isn't as good as I imagine and sometimes they buy something that I thought was really good. So in my opinion, Just keep making music according to your feeling. Doesn't matter if you think it's good or not that good, someone will eventually like your work.

    Thanks for the video, Daniel. I sell my music on both - AJ and P5. These are decent libraries with a fair amount of traffic and I’m able to earn some money each month from them. I kinda agree that P5 is more versatile/flexible library, but it may have sth to do with the fact that they accept basically all submissions :-) I only wish they could offer more license types. AJ is more corporate music orientated (that’s why I call it CorporateJungle sometimes), but, surprise surprise, my 3 top selling tracks on there belong to worldbeat, cinematic and house categories (corporate track is 4rd, though). So, IMO the whole stock music world is a bit unpredictable and it’s hard to say which tracks will do it for you. The only advice I could give for anyone getting into royalty free audio world is to stick to the genres and styles you feel you are best at. Cheers.

    Exclusive music for AudioJungle is more sonic background than music. They does not accept complex harmonies, strong melodies and wide dynamic range. On Pond 5 that's ok!

    • @miskeyp
      @miskeyp 6 лет назад +1

      Completly! I saw many reject on AJ that pond5 accept immediately (I mean review queue can be a real pain in the ass with AJ... my first load was stuck more than 2 weeks in review queue ...) there is also Luckstock wich is in-between pond5 and AJ. But they decide on their own how much your item can be sell. Pond5 seems more "open" to creative stuff than AJ.

    Thing is when i hear some of the content there, i hear some " weak " stuffs released on there...
    So i felt a bit weird with time.
    Now i'm happy to meet Pond5 ,and i'm also kind of relaxed to read people sayin that AJ is a bit selectif on their choices,

    I have a question about music libraries in general. Can you use your own music that you've already uploaded to music library like AudioJungle or Pond5 in your own project, or does only the music library hold the rights to your songs and they can't be used unless you pay for them?

  • @pupisfamily
    @pupisfamily 6 лет назад +1

    Hey, many thanks for the information! What about Pond5 hashtag system? Do you need to create your own hashtags or they will do this? And what about this self-pricing? There are indicators or you set up your price and that's all? Thanks!

    • @StockMusicLicensing
      @StockMusicLicensing  6 лет назад +2

      You create your own hashtags or you can select them from a list that they provide when you upload your music. Concerning the price, its good to let them price your items ( if you are starting of ) and see how they do. The minimum you can price them is for $20 . You can always change the price later on once your item is online anyways. Hope this helps.

    Al bajar pistas de referencia de Audiojungle, veo que hay ocasiones donde llegan a -6 LUFS. ¿Qué valor recomiendas usar para estas plataformas, para no sonar ni tan despacio ni tan fuerte?

You can join other libraries if you wanted to, most of them are non exclusive anyways and it doesn't matter what style of music you do. Go for it, wishing you lots of success mate, all the best!!!

    Do you have any ideas about sorting algorithms on Pond5? Do sells have straight relation to count of items in portfolio?

    • @StockMusicLicensing

      Good question. The algorithms everywhere are like the matrix.. I think the best thing to do is not only upload more but make sure the meta data is spot on. Keywords, tags and description are as important as the music.

    Watching your vlogs is very revealing to me! I don't know if you've talked about LUFS requirements of stock libraries services, especially for corporate tracks.
    Are your tracks submitted to different libraries the same loudness or do you align them to the respective requirements of the library services?
    Are prelistening tracks different in terms of LUFS from the actual content that is delivered to the customer after the purchase?
    Which LUFS value do you recommend?
    I would appreciate it if you would give me some insight into this complex issue.

    I know how it feels. It is a quite hard step to make! But if you do this step (break chains of exclusive slavery) you can put your work at more than AJ and Pond5, there are some other players in the field. Think about leaving AJ exclusive account as this: you only will earn 15% less on AJ, that's all. Can you deal with it? - I think so.

If in AudioJungle you only can upload 5 songs, you dont really need a big repertoir right?...and 3. How do you actually get paid? Paypal?, through a bank account?, transfer?... Greg M Literally all other sites offer unlimited uses per license. It’s outrageous that I have to pay 15$ for ONE song every time I use it. Videos often have multiple songs. That would be close to 100$ per video. To get a license for each use is just stupid and inconvenient. I understand this is nothing for big channels but that’s why I said it’s a scam for small creators.
