Behringer get a lot of shit for durability but for £20, who cares! It does the job and if it gets a bit battered, then just grab another one. I’d rather have random drunk guy drop his pint on a behringer 808 then my vintage TS 😳
People like Coldplay, and voted for the nazis. You can't trust people. Behringer pedals are not lacking in durability. I've had several of their plastic pedals for 10-15 years now, and they've survived hundreds of gigs and practice sessions, and apart from a little dirt, they look brand new. They just don't break. They aren't flimsy. They're as tough as any boss pedal I own, which says a lot really. And yeah they're cheaper than buying an Indian or a Chinese, or going to the pub for a few rounds. If they do break (which they don't, but hypothetically speaking) then yeah you can simply buy another one. They sound amazing and are super durable and are super cheap. That's a good combo If you really hate the plastic pedals though then buy the TC Electronics versions. TC bought behringer, and so now TC have a range of cheap pedals (cheap compared to their main line of pedals) where they are quite literally just the same exact behringer pedals except put into a metal case. You pay a tenner more for that, so it's still cheap as chips, only £30, if that. But again, you don't need to. Because the behringer ones seemingly last forever anyway.
Cool! I was kinda surprised how good it sounded. Also, glad you did it with the cleaner channel. I have been dabbling in the overdrive type tones as a break from the brutal ones.
Compared to the Behringer OD300 I only payed 2 bucks more for my used Boss OS2. So I guess I stick with the original. The OS2 is the best boost pedal I ever owned! Sounds tighter in the lows, more even in the midrange and smoother in the high end than a SD1. It also has a lot more volume to boost your amp and can get pretty sludgy when you blend in the distortion side.
I played around little bit with Behringer and so far the best combo I found was feeding UM300 into OD300, that gave all the saturation I wanted. On a 300 bucks gear (guitar, amp, pedals - all together) the output was quite satisfying.
I just bought a Rowin (Donner) "Greenizer" mini pedal TS clone and it kicks ass to boost my Zombie II. More than I expected. It was like $30! Behringer makes some great stuff. They wouldn't be so inexpensive if they were in metal casings. That's the beauty!
Man, that pedal sounds BOSS! ..... see what I did there? Haha. Seriously though, they make a really good pedal. I've got the OD100. Totally need to figure out what the difference is. Perhaps I should get me an OD300 and do a comparison?
@@TaylorDanley Well then, the maestro has spoken. I'd better get some Behringer gear and do the review deal! Just recording some actual amped guitar right now. This new amp sounds pretty boss..... :)
I have a tube screamer already so dont really require overdrive therefore my question is. Is there any difference with distortion on this pedal than the behringer Heavy distortion?
@@AaronMorgan666 I think the hd500 has some really awesome amp models in it. If you’re bypassing the cabinet blocks and going into a power amp and cab, I’d say you’re probably set. That being said new gear is always fun 🤷

Better in front of the clean channel imo.. What I do is run it on full distortion through a fuzz pedal, drop tuning to C standard and go into Stoner mode..
It’s definitely a boss os-2 clone. And you can pick them up pretty cheap on the used market. But for some reason love Behringer. Great video thank you.
Sounds almost like an OD-1, or maybe an SD-1, and a DS-1, in the same housing, wired in parallel, with a blend knob. I kinda like it. I already have the TO800 and an OD400, as well as a CS400 and a UM300, all of which get use with my Joyo JackMan in front or in the loop, or else a Bugera V22 combo I sometimes borrow from a friend. Might as well get the noise gate, the heavy metal, and this, lol.
Oh lol, the pedal in 50/50 mode in front of the 5150's crunch channel with the gain turned up on the pedal and down on the amp sounds like that Misha Mansoor, new school BMTH kinda shit, glassy and clear enough for full chords, with enough gain to still fit into chugs and pinches. I like that shit. Fuck yeah it djents even if you jdon't, and if you just want crunchy vibes or a sick boost, then it djon't and just does the brutals. Noice.
i have a question. if i put my overdrive with an adapter can i just plug in my distortion with an instrument cable and no power adapter. idk if i should buy to adapters to power both pedals
unfortunately no. however you can buy a daisy chain which has multiple adapters connected to a power supply so you don’t have to buy a bunch of individual adapters!!
