You or whoever makes these thumbnails; They are always really good, love the style. I don't think I ever saw a comment about them in the comments, so I just wanted to say that I really like them. Especially with this video schedule.
I make the thumbnails so thank you I appreciate the feedback, I will try to make more like this in the future if possible, was just kind of trying out a new style to keep them fresh.
Just as a guy who spent some time working on military aircraft. The ground crews always appreciate it when you expend all the ordinance. Just avoids the hassle of safing the munitions and down loading.
Absolutely loved that nozzles down maneuver on that first Mig21. Exactly how the Sea Harriers used to take out the Argentinean Mirages and Sky Hawks during the Falklands conflict
Thank you for another great video. Finally you use the Harrier what she was designed for. I would love to see more video`s Harrier doing Harrier stuff. A close support mission for friendly ground units or something like that.
The Harrier and the MiG-21 were the first full fidelity modules I procured as well. But, for the first few weeks I became frustrated because everytime I increased throttle, my nose used to dive and I'd crash. So, I gave up on DCS for 4 months until someone told me that the Joystick bindings for throttle and pitch were probably the same. Guess what? Doh!
This is the video I've been waiting for in my life and I didn't even realise it! Love the Harrier. Great content as always :D I appreciate your efforts.
LOVE the night fighting! As I’ve said before, one of the most underrated channels on RUclips. Seeing a fight where it’s dark enough to have to use NVG/thermals would be interesting also. Keep up the great videos!
Hey GS, i just wanted to day thanks man. Nobody gives you enough credit but you really do earn your paycheck. To know even 70% of EVERY dcs module is insane to me and i dont know if your just a genius, or your also on the spectrum, but you my friend have a gift. One that i will tune into for ever video, keep up the absolutely rock solid work, your killing it, and thank you for content we wouldnt get anywhere else.
Man, if that MiG-21 wingman had stuck with his leader, you would have been *toast* . Great job on the overshoot - hard to maintain closure when your target comes to an almost complete stop.
Great to finally see the Harrier doing what it's supposed to :P, i find the little doritoes in the hud really help when looking for ground targets, i have no idea how that works i guess with the nose camera and clever software. I find it impossible to use Mavericks but it's an incredible bomb dropper and can carry an insane amount of rockets, i started with the A-10 for ground attacks but the extra speed and ability to land on ships makes the Harrier my favourite to use, though i do miss the helmet hud.
Another night op, can't get enough of these! Btw I can't believe F-35 which is slimmer and more aerodynamic gets a mean nickname "Fat Amy" but an actual fat and slow jet Harrier does not.
I was also wanting AV8B content ( AG stuff) and here it was. You are by far, the best DCS content creator out there. I learn something new in each videos. Thanks for pushing so much content. Much appreciated. You should do a series of AV8B AG stuff same as the A-10 .
Damn i hate when YT automatically sets quality to 1080p, the second Mig was invisible in the night sky because of the compression 😅Really have to watch at 4k to not lose track of jets.
Not that it matters, but more for a fun fact. The harrier in this video is marked for VMAT-203. It was the the training squadron for all things harrier related. While I was in, they were the only harrier squadron that didn't radar birds, or night attack aircraft.
I'd love to see a video of trying to intercept the venerable SR-71 Blackbird with the best technology 2023 has to offer. Does an updated MiG-31 with R-37s even stand a chance at Mach 3+ and climbing through angels 80? Modernised F-14 with AMRAAM-D3s, AMRAAM-ERs, or speculative AIM-260s?
Hey, great video, Harrier looks great at night in multi role. I know you like it, so this Brit would like to see you recover to carrier at end of mission 🤓
I would love to see you go to a civilian dog fighting experience. They use extra 300s and other Arabatic planes to lazer dog fight. Another thing I know this would probably never happen, but you get one of those US airforce ride alongs. To see if the skills you have in DCS can translate to real life.
Love me some Harrier content, though a bit disappointed by the lack of short take off or landing (it should be standard practice even on full length runways), or even a vertical landing (easier on a moving ship for practice). Also, the Harrier really hates uneven loads, so that Mk83 probably made your dogfight noticeably harder. I'll have to go fly it now after spending a week in the Hornet.
Enjoyable video! I would have expected you, with two Mig 21s closing in, to have either dropped the remaining bomb on the same target or to have jettisoned it as dead weight before aerial combat?
Changed my mind about the spitfire/felon thing.... A1 Skyraider vs A10 pleeeeeeaaaassse!! Send em up clean, load tracers on the A10 and let's get down to some real pew pew
Did the Harrier's VTOL ever see any practical use? I've only seen them land and takeoff normally. The only hovering application I've seen was in CoD's ridiculous kill streak.
Thermal seeker manpad no radar spotted about vs bell invictus full counter awacs chaff scramble etc. Hot extract w/ successful heavy lift hpt (personal vehicle)
Great content as always. Genuine question as a guy who does not know much about these airplanes: why didn't the MIGs shoot from BVR? Is it a setting of this scenario? was it a Fox2 only fight? or are there other historical reasons?
hello, the mig21 radar is terrible they are barely capable of BVR engagement. Maybe more modern migs can do it, but this is an old 80s scenario with even older iraqi migs, the fox2 option is best for them at least they can sneak around and kill you with that. (fox2 shots have no RWR warning for the guy getting shot)

Thank you for another video mate! I really appreciate you and the effort it takes to put up videos so often.

That first fight with the Mig-21 was spectacular. His wingman trying to nope off into the sunset was super funny, too! Thanks again man!

Oh my god no way, a harrier video? I've been wanting this for so long!
That first fight with the mig21 was amazing
Loved the ViF manoeuvre against the Mig21
Great video GS I really like the time setting, flying with the last of day light... Love it...!!!
That's such an eerie sound when the sidewinder hits the target.
G.S. : "Gee, I sure hope I can remember how to fly this thing!"
[Proceeds to give a Master Class on the AV-8B Harrier] 😆😆😆
9:21 lmao the MiG-21 be like "I AM ALPHA!" pulling all the AOA
Beautiful colors and flying in that video. The lighting was perfect.
Honestly the Harrier lock tone in idle sounds like the guitar riff from Song for the Dead by QOTSA
Gotta say I am loving the visuals at 2160p60..the shots of the Harrier at the start of the video are stunning.
Beautiful bird. Every second could be an screen shot for a wall paper.
I maintain the landing craft in Aliens was inspired by the Harrier

Good work! Glad you showed us the landing.
Love your content! The thought of fighting with the harrier with the one 1000 pounder on the wing tho😅
Awesome video, the power and ferocity of the AV-8V Harrier.😃

The mig bit post Tank, makes me think of the line, "Do some of that Pilot Sh*t!"
I really think they should build a version of the Sidearm with the thrust vectoring of the AIM-9X.

Excuse me…. The symbol on the Harrier at the beginning is VMAT-203- I was in that squadron. It’s a training squadron, what is going on xD

Sepecat Jaguar would be nice - I sat in the cockpit of one once :)
Hello there! One matchup that I don't think I've seen been done (my bad if I'm wrong) is the J-20 vs. the Su-57. Would love to see that!
DCS looks extra special at sunset
man, the new lighting engine sure makes those flares look awesome, dont they?
The Harrier is one strange aircraft. It'll never be a favorite of mine, but it's kind of interesting.
Anti-radiation Sidewinder's is something I didn't know existed. Initially, I thought that those were AIM-9C's
They left the factory as AIM-9C's, then later on were modified to be straight ARMs rather than SARH.
Saw that in the F-15 video, and now aswell, whats that little alpha symbol / number at the center left of the HUD, what does it stand for?
Busy night. Thanks for sharing.
I always had the idea of using an air to air missile against ground targets and wonder how effective it'll be.

The harrier always reminds me of Buzz Lightyear.
(Something about the tubby shape and green lights... idk).
Too cool for school. Is there a Sea Harrier FRS1?

Hey could you do a video about all the weather, cloud and time settings you do ? cause your settings allways look stunning
The Harrier had some tricks up its nozzles, didn't it?🤟🤜💥🤛😂
Looks like you were dogfighting with a big fat bomb!

Or maybe find a French embassy. ;-)
Its nice to see you going on mission on older jets like harier i want more like su25 or viggen

Day 13 of asking for Cessna 172 Vs F-22 Raptor
That would be cool. Give the Cessna an aim 9x and Vulcan.😂
Cesna pilot has to shoot his rifle out of the window 😂
Is there even a Cessna in DCS?
Maybe the O-2A (Cessna 337). The O-2A had hard points I can’t find a 172 modified to carry ordinance.
Sky warden vs anything modern
"Fat Harriet" gets it done with the help of a little pilot skill
lol, i was just thinking that i want a video on the av8 and there it is... Question: there is the asraam in DCS?
Finally some good Harrierstuff is coming, pls do more Harrier Videos

It was good enough to take on Argentine Mirages. Still can hold its own againt the C-level block fighters.
Why are the formation lights green on both sides of the aircraft? I would think the ones on the left would be red.
Because those are formation lights not anti collision lights. Which can be seen during the take off sequence
we're an underated bunch of drivers, but one of the deadliest!
Did the Harrier's VTOL ever see any practical use? I've only seen them land and takeoff normally. The only hovering application I've seen was in CoD's ridiculous kill streak.
i heard Mooney aircraft where made on a spitfire frame. Mooney m20E vs spitfire?
Another fine addition 😄
I notice with missile hits there are always 2 fireballs going down, one is the plane obviously, the other is that the missile?
Gotta love the Harrier
Thermal seeker manpad no radar spotted about vs bell invictus full counter awacs chaff scramble etc. Hot extract w/ successful heavy lift hpt (personal vehicle)
On of the coolest videos.
Why did you lug that 1000lb with you in the dogfight? 😂
I didn’t want to have to answer to the taxpayer
I don't know why, but every time I see a Harrier. I start thinking of Buzz Lightyear.
