Odyssey 2 Game: Electronic Table Soccer (1980 Philips)

A sports game as the name implies, is a foosball game. A couple of players control three lines of players: the goalkeeper, three center defenders, and two assailants. To control the goalkeeper, the player to one side needs to utilize the up-left and down-left headings of the joystick. To control the center defenders, the player utilizes the all-over bearings. To control the aggressors, the player utilizes the up-right and down-right headings. The contrary applies to the right player.
The ball stops each time it contacts a moving footman and bounces back on the off chance that it contacts a still one. The score is set apart with "/" (for one point) and "X" (for two places) images. The game finishes when one of the players arrives at ten places (XXXXX).

While my family had the Atari VCS, our neighbor had the Odyssey 2... lots of cool games on that Magnavox system such as "UFO!" and "Invaders from Hyperspace!". The Odyssey 2 joysticks were also more robust that the Atari CV40 joysticks, and we ended up rewiring the Odyssey joysticks to work with the Atari VCS. Once Pac-Man for the VCS came out & got compared to K.C. Munchkin, the Odyssey 2 really took the prize.

This game is really cool. If I think correctly the AI was really decent.
