Village is so good. RE tends to struggle with reconciling its horror and its humor, and I think Village has the right amount of both. Without spoilers, I'll just put it this way: Village is the only game in which one section had me afraid to move forward since the horror was so oppressive, and another section had me laughing so hard that I had to pause the game because what I was witnessing was so utterly insane and surreal. It's not perfect, it definitely has its "Come on, Capcom, that's dumb" moments, but I love it.

The 'hype' was surreal before this game was released. There were a lot of people who wanted to be dominated by the tall amazon godess Lady Dimitrescu, IT WAS INSANE, rule 34 was in overdrive.
Speaking of Village, in Japan they had a very "unique" style of game marketing by having a sort of "puppet show" with the game's bosses as cute little puppets that spoke Japanese. I think you'd have a lot of fun watching them trying to be cute

I enjoyed this game so much that I went back and re-played it on New Game + multiple times to unlock more stuff. I even got the achievement for beating it in under 3 hours. Rewatching these trailers is a great reminder too how well they did being very stingy with how little they give away.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Keep in mind this was on my 3rd playthrough on New Game + using a fully upgraded and unlimited ammo Magnum that you are able to unlock using points earned from achievements. I knew exactly where to go and what to do to solve puzzles to advance quickly. When you play this the first time not knowing what to do, where to go having to scrounge for ammo and treasures to buy stuff it will take 11-12 hours to beat.
I remember playing this on release day. This game is in my opinion one of if not the greatest resident evil ever made. It took horror and played with your head and made you truly fear playing. I believe you’ll enjoy the storyline and all the secrets and joy that’ll come with playing this. Just make sure when you’re playing through it try not to break something when you get scared. I was terrified playing through it, as I played through it kinda made me think “Did I just see what I just saw?”
RE Village did something that should be impossible for an RE game. It made me and many others cry by the end. Its localization team also knew exactly what they were doing. You get to a boss fight that makes a reference specifically ad libed in English and you know exactly what that moment is if you have a history of the series. Cant wait for the RE4 remake since Village gave all the assets the team will need to make the base Rural Spain layout.
I love Resident Evil 8. Lady Demitrescu is awesome as well, she is based off of the Japanese Legend of 8-foot tall. and Elizbeth Bathory. The game is on the short side, but its still a lot of fun!

You're absolutely correct. This game is very atmospheric and this creepy medieval vibe makes it even better. I think you guys should watch a playthrough of RE: Maiden. It's the visual demo for Village just to give you a vibe of what the game is like. The other demo was part of the story but Maiden was not. It'll definitely make you more curious about the game and get you hyped up to play it.

Just keep in mind that this one is more first-person shootie than 7. The following aren't spoilers, just general advice for playing 8: 1. Don't forget to use your block. Lots of people forget that Ethan can block and they end up using all their materials crafting healing items instead of more useful items. 2. As painful as it might be, kill every innocent animal you find. They drop cooking ingredients for permanent buffs. Some of those animals are only encountered once per play through. I think the crows might be the exception, although there is an achievement for killing 5 crows. 3. You don't have to kill every monster in the game, although there are places where you do have to kill everything you see. 4. Chris and Ethan compete for the idiot award in this game. 5. Have fun!

Might I recommend reacting to smite. It's a game full mythological gods and beings and you battle in team vs team setting. There's over 100 characters and They have trailers for each one. As well as two short game trailers. Love the videos, keep up the great work
Village takes a lot from RE4 which is definitely more action focused than horror, but RE4 is usually known as, and I agree, the best RE. Village in my opinion is really good. My only complaint is like 7 the length, but everyone's first time is takes some time so it'll be fun to watch you stream

I must say, village is much cooler and more interesting than biohazard. They combined the intimacy of the previous part with a pseudo-open world. And the graphics were greatly tightened. At the first play, I stood for 10 minutes looking at textures and models in each location. Btw, castle and small vilage in trailers are just a part of huge map.

Oh; maybe you know, maybe you dont RE7 is made for VR. The 1st person view is more or less a must at that point since there is alot more motion in a 3rd person view and it will feel weird as you conrol a character you see instead of actually being inn the body of it. This disconection would cause trouble for most people starting with immersion and motion sickness. There is also technical limitations to be aware since in 3rd person games you would be able to turn around the view without turning the character. This seperats the movement direction from camera angle. If my information is still correct there is only one dev team (Ninja Theorie) who even put out a 3rd person view VR game (Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifices). In this special case it does even make sense story whise to have this view and control. I sadly wasnt able to watch or play the VR version, so no details if out or how good it worked. Even if it was a not so great try it came as a free update to the alllready existing game about one year later. PS: RE8 has less jump scares then 7 since the fan base feedback was more or less stated to be to scary for a resident evil game. Maybe influenced by havong a VR mode. Also up to date one of, if not the best VR experience next to Half Life Alyx.

That was the problem way more characters does not mean a great quality game. They put so much emphasis on Lady D and the castle and its over and done with in an instant. Waste of charcters if you ask me. Yes I used go be a big fan of this one, but honestly 7 is far better.

I forgot The Duke was a character I really fell in love with, forget Lady D 🤣 Donna was nice too what bit we got of her. Dead Island is the only game that scared the absolute shit out of me, just the thought of being alone with zombies on an island. Then again Raid mode in Resident Evil Revelations scares the shit out of me when I'm playing it alone. So spooky with the music and police sirens in the background on the building levels. Finally able to grab myself a VR for PS4 so I'm hoping for more RE7 fun 😂

Oh; maybe you know, maybe you dont RE7 is made for VR. The 1st person view is more or less a must at that point since there is alot more motion in a 3rd person view and it will feel weird as you conrol a character you see instead of actually being inn the body of it. This disconection would cause trouble for most people starting with immersion and motion sickness. There is also technical limitations to be aware since in 3rd person games you would be able to turn around the view without turning the character. This seperats the movement direction from camera angle. If my information is still correct there is only one dev team (Ninja Theorie) who even put out a 3rd person view VR game (Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifices). In this special case it does even make sense story whise to have this view and control. I sadly wasnt able to watch or play the VR version, so no details if out or how good it worked. Even if it was a not so great try it came as a free update to the alllready existing game about one year later.
PS: RE8 has less jump scares then 7 since the fan base feedback was more or less stated to be to scary for a resident evil game. Maybe influenced by havong a VR mode. Also up to date one of, if not the best VR experience next to Half Life Alyx.

Re7 saved the series cause re6 nearly killed the series
Re6 was lame for sure. It’s why we waited so long to play 7 😂 we finished 6 right before 7 was released and we’re so thoroughly unimpressed we never bought 7 until recently 🤗
That was the problem way more characters does not mean a great quality game. They put so much emphasis on Lady D and the castle and its over and done with in an instant. Waste of charcters if you ask me. Yes I used go be a big fan of this one, but honestly 7 is far better.
Yeah 7 was a better game and vibe. 8 had a lot of potential and was fun. 7 was way creepier though imo 🤗

I forgot The Duke was a character I really fell in love with, forget Lady D 🤣 Donna was nice too what bit we got of her. Dead Island is the only game that scared the absolute shit out of me, just the thought of being alone with zombies on an island. Then again Raid mode in Resident Evil Revelations scares the shit out of me when I'm playing it alone. So spooky with the music and police sirens in the background on the building levels.
Finally able to grab myself a VR for PS4 so I'm hoping for more RE7 fun 😂
