    I love my 555. Its has basically two inputs and using hte headphone out two outputs. So sometimes i use it as is and sometimes i use it in fl studio as a generator or on my channels to use the effects. I guess a small mixer could accomplish the same with the 404.

      Nice man, sounds like a fun set up! I really enjoy using mine because of the extra bank space. Having 16 pads is so nice for making beats!

      I have one, I love it but I wanna know if anyone is using with the new OS versions? Windows or Mac? It seems not to recognize it when plugged and there´s no updated drivers!! So, I can´t use it as external MIDI or sound card.

    Your camera work is getting great!! Loved the thumbnail. Instant click. If your camera lets you adjust the shutter speed, try experimenting with a different number until the lights on the SP don’t flash (unless it’s the vibe you like). Still a sick video!

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  4 года назад

      yeah the flashing was a bit crazy on this video haha. Don't think there are many F/s options on my camera though when filming video unfortunately. I'll have a look into it

    BRO! Your videos have leveled up! Love seeing some real justice for the 555, now i want to run home and use mine. Definitely need to play with the pattern function more. What kind of tape are you using? Sounded really solid and full spectrum.

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  4 года назад

      Yo man thanks for that, getting a decent camera has made a world of difference! I'm just using a 'Type 1' tape - from what I've been told its nothing fancy. I've got a few settings I can play around with on my tape deck as well that seem to fill things out a little! Love bouncing onto tape now. Thanks for dropping in!

      I’ve got a live 2 and a 555. The best way to use them together is to connect a usb cable between them and have the 555 be a USB audio device for the Live 2. I get started at 5 a.m and come up for coffee at 8. Then it’s suddenly lunch time… I get SOOOO lost in the sauce with these two pieces of gear. I’m looking at a MKII for use with my Live 2 and moving my 555 over to use with my MPC 1000. This way my path with the older gear is analog and with the newer gear is digital. If I do that I’ll have to wait until the Live 2 supports 48 kHz over USB audio so that it can work with the MKII. Until then… 555 all the way.

    Do you have an external mixer? I just grabbed the MG102C Series by Yamaha, is pretty sick. What Monitors would you recommend on a budget? Last thing in the production chain I need!

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  4 года назад +1

      I dont have a mixer no, its something I've been thinking about. I've got a PA amp which kinda does the job but nowhere near as well. The Rokit KRK 5 speakers are great on a budget I think. Really good value for money

I was set on getting the novation circuit to sequence the sp404 but now my orders are getting cancelled and it seems to have disconinuted.. do you have any recommendations on a hardware sequencer I could pair with the sp404sx?

    • @spvidz

      The FX are very similar to other SP devices IMO - not feeling anything particularly distinctive about this machine apart from maybe the lofi compression MFX which is fun to use now and again!
