This is an amazing car that Kia has assembled! I definitely like this vehicle and everything about it. Parking lights cool 😎 and tail light redesign for 2025 was incredibly awesome 💯

I believe the Kia k5 GT gets more features than the sonata n line in the US. But we have to wait until the Kia k5 gt arrives here in the US, then we can compare.

I’ve already put my name in for the 2025 K5 GT. The dealership will order it as soon as they can. It has way more options available than you can’t even get on a Sonata N Line! Just check out the options on the 2024. They’re going to be the same on the 2025!

I am not a fan of the rectangle bezel for the instrument panel. Especially with how easily the graphics get blocked by a round steering wheel. I'm not too fond of the rotary shifter, much less the use of piano black (Inside or outside). The touch buttons interface is not intuitive. I like physical buttons. When the car is in motion, the suspension movement forces you to take your eyes off the road to ensure you activate the right icon. I prefer the HVAC and radio to be separate and immediately ready for you to make a quick change.
Why not go with a super user-friendly hatchback? The taillights' shape does not fit the rest of the design language well.
Other than that, Hyundai "N" rules!

The K8 needs to come to the U.S.
We have an EV6 and I will say that the dual monitor system LOOKS cool but isn't the most practical. It doesn't sit far enough back away from the wheel so my options for seating positions are very limited since my wheel has to be in a weird spot. If I actually find a comfortable wheel position, it usually cuts off the top part of the display. I think a normal cluster would work better with that second monitor.

@CarSceneKorea I like it too much, somehow for an old guy like me it has the classic side profile of the 60tis that makes an ex petrol head's heart pump faster, - but, would we ever see this model Down Under? It's like with the Casper, if we ever get that car, it will be fully electric and we in Oz have lots of angry juveniles they do not have the money to buy such cars, so they go out at night and vandalise everything, where would I plug the car in when I run out of batterie power? I would only go for a Hybrid because of that.
Stationwagon also an option? Here in Germany, the old model (Optima) is mostly sold as SW. The phev would be nice with a bigger Battery, with at least 20 kwh. Daily coumute only electric and on longer trips hybrid.
Korea never got the wagon version, sure would be nice though. If this version continues where you are, the local dealers ought to have more info on it, hopefully.

Again, there is no external lighting in the back row. Again, they saved on the rear passengers. Plaintively. But the car is super.

The Black Fit is probably the GT. Different trim name in Korea.

It's been the K5 in the US for a couple years now. Is it still the Optima in Canada or Mexico?
K5 for a couple years in Canada as well. I wonder if the 2025 K5GT will come with all the bells and whistles shown in this video for the Canadian market - for example the AR/HUD functions.
It probably is already K5 all around the globe. Felt like just bringing that up at the start ;)

Damn it's a bit of disapointment I cannot buy it in EU. :( The car is gorgeous. I drive a bit older Optima, the car is great and never even once broke down on me - so very reliable. Would love to drive one - one day.

Um, the K5 moniker replaced the 'Optima' name for the all new 2021 K5 debut in North America. Also, the 2021-2024 models had the exact same door panel. They also had the automated tailgate. Did this guy do any research at all on the 2021-2024 pre facelifted K5?!?
Great that the NA models had these goodies long before Korean models did. I do run my channel in English, but doesn't mean I speak for the NA market only. I introduce newly released Korean cars, one of the first to cover them IRL being in Korea. Models have differ from a market to another as you told me :)

Why do you talk about cost to repair the front and rear of the car from an accident. All cars are expensive to repair…
I rarely do, I just wanted to point out it is vulnerable to get more headlight damage under same circumstances than other DRL designs.

Precisely! I have Nissan 370z, my rear bumper was caught at the stopper which it didn't when I reverse parked it, got lowered with the passenger in it when I started leaving, bumper got ripped off which had no damage, just putting it back again did all the work. However, when the rear bumper got pulled off, as it is elastic with the material being ABS, it snapped right out hitting the tip of the tail light slightly, breaking that thing. If you search 370z tail light, you will see it has one of the most pointy tail light out there. So that ties back to what I've said about the DRL, when they are pointy like that and long, there are times, occasions where the DRL wouldn't have been damaged, but it would because of the design being as my story approves. I am 100% with you on all parts being expensive especially with the headlight and I don't really resonate with people saying parts and things being expensive to repair/replace, but hopefully this stupidly long sentences makes sense. At this point I'm typing just because 🤣

Hyundai Kona EV seem to have many electric motor drive "kapoot" after 3 years and cost more than 10 K$ cad to replace!
