Gran Ventana Resort in Puerto Plata have great location, with sandy long beach, four restaurant, two swimming pool with adult section, five bars, very nice and friendly staff, 100 meters from Dorada Mall, 20 Minutes from Taino Cruise Bay port.

Hi I’m planning a trip here and the beach looked so beautiful you went! Just wondering what month you were there?
That was February last year, great place
nice video but not terribly informative. How did you arrange for this? Was it something outside of the port that you found offering the package? Did you pre arrange it? How did the food and drinks work, did you have to go to a bar and order it? Did they come to you on the beach? Were there tablesides set up at the beach? We are going in January and this is the first place I have even found interesting for our cruise port. More information would be very much appreciated.
If you watched the whole video, I mentioned most of your questions. Anyways, we got the package from people offering the package at the port, it was $70 per person, including bus ride with internet, unlimited drinks and food, the resort have specific place for the cruise passengers, they have set up a bar on the beach and there is a security also watching your personal stuff, you can get your lunch either at the beach restaurant or in the main buffet restaurant of the resort, I personally recommend eat at the buffet restaurant. it was only for 4 hrs and you have to go back to the ship. by the time you go there maybe the taino bay port complex is already done on its constructions, This place was fun plus it was free. It's still under construction but the pools, lazy river, hammock pool, shops and bars are open. happy vacation and bon voyage!
Looks great but the pool is very busy. Is that normal? Why is there no one in the water at the beach?
they only have 2 pools and water at the beach is a little bit rough.

yes they do have big restaurant and snack bar by the beach
