Poll body studying which 'category red' areas to put under Comelec control for 2023 barangay polls

Commission on Elections Chairman George Garcia says the poll body is checking if any of the 27 'category red' areas internally disclosed to them by the Philippine National Police should be placed under Comelec control for the October 30 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE). The Comelec has yet to decide whether to postpone the BSKE in Negros Oriental.
