Got myself a Sterling Cutlass with a idea that the short scale would help for my old, stiff fingers. There is not many millimeters difference between the frets of my tellie from the ‘12 fret and down, but I feel that it help anyway.
I am adult female and have shorter fingers. I was wanting a squier classic vibe 50's or 60's but looks like the 50 looks just the right size but not the 60 and that's what I want☹️ not long neck but width
best choice for a kid or small woman to learn on, absolutely. also, a great little guitar in it's own right. you *could* go a Jaguar, but the Mustang has more forgiving pups. Jag pups are very strident, Jazzmaster sounding pups. the most important lesson a Jag can teach you is how to dial off trebs, lol. mind you, good lesson to learn if you are going to be playing Fenders. BURN! take that Fender! on that note i would add; for preference a beginner might do better with a humbuckered 'Stang. though the Squier 'Stang single coils they use are pretty subdued, probably on purpose. yes, so it turns out Fender's purpose built student guitar is a good student guitar. once they changed the pick-up selector to a three way switch, that is. the original selector switches were stupid. and worse, ugly. when you are just starting out you judge a guitar on it's looks, you have no other metric yet.

Well done.

I have big hands and a few Gibsons but I’d play the hell out of that Squire. Great call for a 1st guitar.
Haha! I almost added that as a caption once I watched the footage back!

Any Les Paul type guitars with short necks?
Epiphone makes a $280-ish short scale version of the Les Paul that's over an inch shorter than this Mustang, if you're looking for something 3/4 size!
@@JLynnJohnston thanks!!
Yes.
