  • In this tutorial, we have obtained hexahedral structured meshing of a 2d car model using ICEM CFD. A well structured mesh was obtained with inflation layers near the surface of car using O-Grid method. Every single step is explained comprehensively as the purpose of this tutorial is to learn meshing techniques in ICEM-CFD.
The tutorial is designed for beginners with little to no knowledge about the software. If you are looking to learn ICEM-CFD for structured meshing, then this tutorial is perfect for you.

    Hello sir,
I have a hexahedral multi-block structured mesh in ICEM CFD, I got some results from this mesh.
Now, I have to do a mesh independence test.
Please tell me which is the correct way to increase the number of mesh elements:
    Should I
    1) Re-mesh the whole geometry with smaller element size
    2) increase the number of nodes in each block.
    3) increase the scale factor like 1.2 or 1.3 etc....
    Thank you!
