My goodness, that nostalgia!!! It hurts so good lol This was my favorite game in the Nancy Drew series, and the very first one I played. I played them throughout my entire childhood. To this day, I have moments where I stop and realize that I learned something super valuable early on from those games! This music not only fills me with huge amounts of nostalgia, but also this tranquil and peaceful feeling. (Except the creepy ones, but they are quite effective in their own way 😂) I would still be playing them if I hadn’t lost access to all the copies I once owned, sadly 😢
By far the Nancy Drew game I remember playing the most, as well as the other games in the games 10-13 range. By far my favourite game, soundtrack and otherwise.
I recently replayed this game again (also my first ND game I've ever played) and it got me nostalgic after all this time. And music is absolutely beautiful. I remember almost pooping my pants when i saw lady in black for the first time. And Ethel ... sneaky one ... gets me jump scared every time. I rly recommend this game to everyone such beauty, i hope one day it will be remastered (just visually). It deserves that. Sending love to all of my ND sleuths all around the world. Love, Nancy 😆😜😇💜
One of my favorite Nancy Drew soundtracks. My favorite track is Recorder (8:47) because it reminds me of listening to old Baby Einstein music 1997-2004.
Yes, I also believe the overall quality has gone down in most of the games. My personal favorites are from 1-20. They hold the best games in my opinion.
YUP! it's not just you. Especially with the newest game Midnight in Salem, Sea of darkness was good, I didn't like all of the following (after this game) that much: Creature of Kapu cave, Ransom of the seven ships, Alibi in ashes, Shattered medallion, Labyrinth of lies and midnight in Salem. In the games before this my least favorite are as follows: Secret of the scarlet hand and Danger on deception island are not my absolute favorite. I LOVE ALL OF THE OTHER GAMES!!!
@@nomnomfoodthief I'm one out of only very few people who record the most important dreams or nightmares that I've had, one being 3 Lives which happened 10 years ago, but it's by far the second worst nightmare I've had in my entire life
What a golden age of gaming this was.
I LOVE Blackmoor. I always feel so cozy playing this game.
This is easily my favorite soundtrack out of all the games, with Memoirs (6:45) being my favorite track!

Agreement.

Gosh what an amazing game. Hearing "Memoirs" brings back so many memories...
Memoirs always brings tears to my eyes, it’s so so beautiful
It’s my personal favourite track in the whole series!
@@NancyDrewWalkthroughs One of my favorite Nancy Drew songs too.
Renaissance is my favourite track at 9:48.

Love, Nancy 😆😜😇💜
I believe vote4holt mentioned Empire sounding like Moonlight Sonata which is does. Love that one so calming with the gentle piano 🕵🏼♀️
This game and Sea of Darkness are my favorites

Amusant and Brigitte both sound similar to the Resident Evil Code Veronica Piano Roll theme and the save room theme.
Beautiful piece of melody, reminds me a lot of the skyrim tavern music
I agree!
Is it just me or has the quality of these games went downhill overtime? Newer ones just feels like a chore list

Some do, depends on the game plot itself.
YES!!!!
@@NancyDrewWalkthroughs I do not know, Sea Of Darkness is pretty darn good.
Beautiful sounds
Fairy sounds very much like the classic song Aquarium by Saint-Saens. I thought those two were the same song for like 15 years
Memoirs is my home
1:03 woah this reminds me of a nightmare I had called 3 Lives.
What? Your nightmare had a title?
@@nomnomfoodthief I'm one out of only very few people who record the most important dreams or nightmares that I've had, one being 3 Lives which happened 10 years ago, but it's by far the second worst nightmare I've had in my entire life
0:59 That awful MIDI piano tho
That point in the music is actually not in this game, it is a reference to this game on a record in Emily's room in Secret Of The Old Clock.
@@nomnomfoodthief Its played at the end of the game when nancy writes to ned.
Can you write the name of the soundtracks at each time ?
Hey Kylo! I've been thinking about doing this, but it will take a bit of time. Thanks for reaching out!
The best soundtrack for any of these games other than Final Scene
