  • You'll find plenty of solitude out here as well as a challenging hike. The Selway Bitterroot wilderness is a huge and very remote wilderness area. There may be a lot of type 2 fun on this hike. It'll be hard and frustrating at times but this is a real adventurous backpacking trip. You'll be on your own and way out there.

Wonderful music, even better cinematography. I live in Lolo and hope to do this route in late July this year.

Great video, since I live here but was not able to see a lot of Selway, thanks.

Some of the route looked on rough side.
But what is a trail w/o
    Some effort 😳😀👍🏽

I've been to several of these spots but never connected them. Beautiful packbox pass 😍 cool to see you are using the pocket rocket and the exact same pot as I have also haha 😃

Hey Alex how are you and Amy? I was following you on the CDT. I stumbled upon this video. This is my home I live in the Bitterroot Valley. Many of my MTB rides start right there at lake Como. Its a awesome place. You made it look great. Now I know why I have enjoyed your work behind the camera so much. You have had alot of practice.
I'm looking forward to your next endeavor. You know I need my time lapse fix. Good luck to you Alex.

We’re doing well thanks for asking. Just trying to restart “regular life” after being on the trail for so long. The bitter roots are incredible and very remote. We only scratched the surface with that hike so I hope to come back soon. In the next month or so we’ll be releasing some more stuff!

Excellent (as always). Loved the doggie! And looks like you are using Nikon mirrorless now? And looks like an epic trip, lots of difficult but spectacular terrain. Awesome!

    great footage ❤❤
off-trail looks like some difficult bushwhacking at times
how on earth did you keep from getting lost

Good question haha you have to be comfortable with not knowing exactly where you are. We typically know which direction to go at least though. And we do have GPS on our phones, that almost makes it too easy.

Hello @@patrickhenry7416, why condescending? looking for a way to demonstrate superiority and comfort yourself or or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority

I have always wanted to go on a long distance hike in the mountains but I am not in the best of shape. Do you train before you go out on an 80 mile hike and if you do how do you train ?

Looks like a wonderful place to explore for a few days. Did you run into anyone else while there? I bet the water at 12:55 was cold!

It's a true wilderness! We saw only one person in between Bell Lake and Big Creek Lake.
