Tried playing Far Cry 3 last year. The Ubisoft Launcher said I didn't own it even though I had it installed in Steam. Good times.

bought the rayman collection, couldn't play anything but raving rabbids. refunded in a heartbeat.
Bro just pirate games its much easier. Most devs dont deserve our money anyway
Was gonna say that to him, those launchers do nothing but ruin the games with errors and crashes! besides, some games are not available on steam anymore...you can only get them through piracy sites, which is a huge advantage and also pirated games don't have all kinds of DRM that eat your CPU all the time. @@ForLegalReasonsThisIsAJoke1

When it comes to gameplay, whatever great FC3 introduced and founded, FC4 perfected.
the next game in the series imo trumps this one on gameplay
more seamless and less tedious quality of life changes

@@super.somarion Nah bro, is my third one actually, after 2 and 3. I love 2 and 3 too but 4 is just my favourite, anything after that just didn't fit my taste.
Good review, but I was expecting to see Blood Dragon DLC. It's quite hilarious throwback.

This game runs phenomenally on the Series X.
4 is my favorite, 3 has its own unique place in my heart, 5 is mixed, new dawn was surprisingly refreshing for me, 6 sucks and should never made in the first place.
In regards to the co op and multiplayer modes, you aren't missing much. The co op isn't very good and the multiplayer has a few neat ideas, but is overall very mediocre.
The Steam version had its servers shut down alongside the Ubisoft Connect version, but for some reason the latter's servers had been brought back 7 months ago as of the time of this comment's post.
This game and Blood Dragon were the last two FC games where it was fun to stealth an outpost. After that they packed all the outposts and made it such a hassle to complete them without being spotted.
FC5's outposts are pretty easy to take over silently
I always go for the sneaking route for FarCry 3 Blood Dragon. And given how short the game's story is, it's a fun choice for me. Not to mention I get to listen to Michael Biehn talk shit to the enemies
Far Cry 3 is one of the games that shows that Ubisoft is a great developer when they put effort into it. Gameplay and stealth is nice, exploration rewards you and of course, it has Nacho Varga.

FarCry 3 is a amanzing game
This my all time favorite game. From the moment I saw the trailer for the first time in 2012 I knew this was going to be a great game. When I started playing it for the first time I couldn't stop. I ended up playing through the entire campaign in 1 day. I've pretty much played it once a year ever since. I will never get tired of it. 4 and 5 are good games but 3 is the best of the series; great story, great villians, great protagonist, great side characters, awesome gunplay etc.
4 will always be my favourite followed by 2 then 5. 3 I appreciate for starting it on the right foot. Excellent review as usual.
If 3 and Blood Dragon were at the top of the list, I'd agree with the rest of your order.
I remember playing far cry 3 on the Xbox 360 and overall i enjoyed it, the story was great seeing jason turn from a typical rich kid scared of everything to a badass hunting pirates was awesome, the map had alot of stuff to do and i remember grinding for signature weapons and complete jungle activities like the wanted pirate/ animal posters mainly because you can make alot of money but you're only restricted to use a certain type of weapon to finish them, the multiplayer mode was fun with friends and the ability to share skills to unlock stuff was a blessing, in the end i love far cry 3
As Far Cry 2 is immersive, depressing war description aka "Heart of darkness" in game format, Far Cry 3 is like good, modern action movie
Threre was nothing immersive about enemies that spammed you behind on straight trail like every few hundred meters.
That's civil war, I don't find that out of place in all this chaos

I couldn't stand that piss poor mechanic of enemies.
Shooting is fun, so i don't find that as irritating. Besides, there is always some way to avoid combat

Just wished some weapos were not... backwards :)) and that we could play with more characters... or make our own.
Vaas was just a little punk bish :)) interesting somewhat... but obvious a tryhard :))
I played the Classic Edition for PS4. The game was just as good as I remember.
Killing off vass early on to have some generic suit as the final boss was stupid I thought about dropping it

FAR CRY 3 was the best IMO and the Pinnacle of the FC series. Basically, become the gold standard for all FC games.
I started with 3 and went back to 2, i actually liked 2 more because it was so ridiculously harsh in its mechanics, like STALKER on malaria.
But ten years later i kinda like the later far very 4 more just for the map alone, all these games are the same, what makes it worth it is the map and culture they "borrowed" for the iteration.
Far Cry 3 got me into the franchise and play every installment including the spin-offs. Thanks for the video Gaming Pastime

I found it a bit too grisly, preferring the grim reality of Far Cry2.
