I like "DC Legions", emphasizing becoming a team together and making your own superfriends. Would be even cuter being big heroes together in PvE or raids
An idea I had was to make Barbara/Oracle the announcer for the game like how Galacta is in Marvel Rivals since she's tech support so she controls comms. It would be a cool way to include her.
I think Metron should be the one to do the voiceover. He’s not super known to casuals but being a New God who is essentially the recorder of history and observes everything would be interesting imo. I really think they could make it work and help a character gain popularity also.
batmite, oracal, that superman villan (forgot how to spell his name) hell maybe darkside if its following the story he suggested? ALFRED alfred as the announcer it wouldn't make any sense I just want
@@BlueBlazeKingcounterpoint, both, one for each team and the whole game is just them having an argument about which favourite characters beat the other
Maybe it could be different across each map? Alfred for Wayne Manor, Jor-El for the Fortress of Solitude, Lucius Fox for Wayne Tech, Mxyzptlk for the 5th dimension? The options are endless!
It would be fun if Batman was an Utility Support. Instead of just healing, he could use his tech/detective skills to enable his teammates. Put down sonars to track enemies through walls, ziplines that let his teammates traverse through the map easier, maybe a beacon like Rocket Racoon's that dispenses healing/armor, so that he's not throwing "healing batarangs" around.
I don’t agree with making Batman a healer but if he’s going into support you gotta commit. Otherwise there’s just a bunch of Batmen running around doing nothing but being a lacklustre dps.
He seems more like a utility “duelist” rather than a support But idk. I feel like he should have combat focused abilities and have other members of the bat-family have a utility support. Maybe Nightwing since he’s been a leader & mentor to multiple teams. Way more often than Bruce. Should also pair well with Starfire who would be a damage character.
Batman as a support is actually genius, gives the option for the batfamily to be spread across all the roles too. Nightwing as a spiderman like duelist? Flipping around and stuff would be sick
The real question is, which one would be the tank of the group? My proposal is simple: We make the Batmobile an independently playable character, and Alfred will be the other one.
9:00 nonono, you have to bully ONE guy, just the one. Take a health pack when he's dying and don't even kill him, target him always, spawn camp ONLY him, disregard the objective, their team, hell YOUR team, just so every time he spawns and walks through that door, he has to be afraid
Team up ability ideas Wayne Tech -> Triggered by any bat family member + Batman. Gives them access to the grappling hook. It’s basic, but it’s giving them all an extra mobility option The Green -> Triggered by any 2 or more characters associated with the green. It’ll give damage up and increase health recovered from healing abilities for the Green characters Emotional spectrum -> Everyone of the team is a different lantern color…up everything, don’t care how busted it is. Everyone’s a white lantern now
The Wayne thing should be stat buffs like extra damage or speed, the Grappling hook ain’t just basic, it’s blehand debatable if they even come from Wayne tech anymore. Nightwing doesn’t use just the Grappling hook anymore, he’s got his own tech like his multi-use Escrima sticks he also uses as grappling mobility. Wayne tech -> Batfamily members + Batman gain an extra 10% DMG upgrade or takes -10% DMG.
@ Yeah it’s sometimes hard to implement some of these characters’ more complicated powers but I think this is the best way to do Cass. Besides her passive, make her a mix of Black Panther and Iron Fist dive melee character.
Okay, Danny the Street as a stage would be pretty sick. Imagine all the street names, billboards and graffiti around the block just changing around depending on how the match is going. Like, a character gets a good kill and one of the billboards says “Nice one, Damian!”, or maybe you turn a corner into the alley while being attacked and the wall graffiti changes to say “Barry, look out!” I feel like this would be hard to program, but I still think it would be cool.
Also making THE big 3 (ie Supes, Diana and Bats) the respective tank, DPS, and “healer” is actually amazing because yes, part of Superman’s whole shtick is that he’s indestructible, Diana is the greatest warrior in the DC universe, and Batman is the greatest detective. He’s a super sneaky support, support characters tie the whole trio together
Batman as a support makes so much sense. He could have an ability like Ana's from OW where he targets an enemy and he can't be healed, almost like if he created a plan to separate that enemy from his team.
I like the idea of making the gameplay on a larger scale. To give an analogy, dc rivals should be like the battlefield games as rivals is to CoD. Imagine a sprawling metropolis map where if you’re Batman, you can fight on foot or hop in one of his vehicles and fight an enemy in their vehicles. Imagine like a reskinned BF1 with additional gameplay elements of epic DC character battles of 12v12 over strategic objectives
I second this but make it like the EA Star wars battlefield type where instead of storm troopers its just Jedis vs. Siths on the field, hell you can even thrown in the mandalorians in there lol but I like the idea of how powerful all this heroes are in a big battlefield while also having vehicles to call in for support or drived in and all that makes sense for batman and lex honestly.
Just the team-up ability that lets any Kryptonian, Lantern, Amazon or Flash to pick up and carry their BatFam and Arrow teammate. Because, yeah, it is accurate, Superman and Supergirl have been shown picking up and flying their little Bat (Batman and Dick Grayson's Robin) around, Lanterns often bubble their non-flying teammates to carry them places, and Wally and Dick have a whole princess-carry-the-bat-and-run thing. It's also real funny and opens the idea for fun dialogs: Superman: Up you go, Batman! Batman: I still don't like this. Wonder Woman: How's my favorite Robin doing? Red Hood: Oh, you know, died, came back, no big deal. Wally's Flash: One ticket for the Flash Train, please! Nightwing: I can't believe we couldn't find a better way for you to carry me.
Would be a tad bit confusing considering the Olympians very much exist in DC already and have strong ties to at least two popular characters with Wonder Woman and Shazam.
I could never do a "DC roster" fairly because it would be 99% the Batman roster and rogues... GIVE ME BANE, CLAYFACE AND THEM ALL! But I loved this video and really happy you doubled dipped on rivals
starfire as a dps where she can fly around like iron man, primary is a star-bolt blast, her secondary is a long range piercing beam, her ability changes her primary into a rapid fire infinite barrage for 3-6 seconds and her ult as a star-bolt burst kinda like how she does in her injustice super move or when she won against bizzaro in the comics
Larfleeze could be a Strategist with an ult that takes away every enemies abilities within a distance of him. Poison Ivy could be like a mix of Groot and Namor, setting up walls and plant turrets around the map. Mirror Master could be a tank with a giant mirror shield. There's tons you could do.
Honestly would love to have Alfred Pennyworth in the game as DPS, not only because I want to go around as a butler with a shotgun taking down major league heroes, but also because itd be even more hilarious with Batman as support and Alfred as DPS.
Cyborg IS the muscle if you watch Teen Titans LOL but he is smart and drops nukes like Ironman in Rivals Raven could be Strategist and DPS by switching like Cloak and Dagger or Hela in Smite, healing with the White cape and dmg with the purple cape !
I love how you brought up the newer generations of heroes fufilling different roles like Supergirl, Robin, and Cass Cain cause that's one of my fave things about DC is how interconnected the superhero community is!! Like I know Marvel never really got into the sidekick scene after the death of Bucky, but I love superhero families! Like I love the idea Cass Cain being this super speedy and sneaky duelist with smoke bombs and maybe some sort of lock on ability where she can deal extra damage if you get a combo going. Or Supergirl being more of a speedy brawler to contrast Superman! And maybe her and Superman could have a team up together where they can sorta charge each other up by sticking close to one another! Hell, I could see Kon-El as another good choice for tank where he throws up sheilds like Groot's with his ttk and maybe have a lot of like enemy movability like Sue Storm!
I feel like something interesting with Zatanna could be done. Where her projectiles could go forwards or backwards. Like her speech. Something like that.
Batman as support genuinely makes sense , he could be a mobile support with a glide, martial arts moves for cooldown abilities and primary fire of battarangs
Batman as support makes sense, its functionally what he operates as within the JL itself. Perhaps having a batman as strategist in a full JL team lineup gives them the babel protocols so they do more damage to JL members on the enemy team.
It could be cool if the villain character have kits specifically designed to kill the heroes, that way you can balance characters without debuffing them
I feel like each part of the trinity should be a different type to give them that since of being the stars in their leagues and a fantastic unit together So Superman tank, Wonder Woman dps, and Batman support
For the Flash, I think he could work as a support by healing through sharing some of the speed force, which gives regeneration and a slight speed boost, and utilize his speed to disable devices and stun enemies, ripe for killing by teammates. Btw to appease Barry and Wally fans, just make one duelist and one support.
I've been wanting to play AS Poison Ivy in a video game for so so long. She's my favorite character of all time, of any franchise. I think she could work wonderfully as a tank (using her plants as walls or whatever) but the design wouldn't work well for a bulky looking character, unless she was sitting on a plant and having it walk her around to make her stand out a bit more. I think that with her spores, infecting people in two different ways, such as 1 being a sleep that lasts a short time and has a 9 second cooldown, or something that infects the enemy and turns them into something like a Namor turret that fires at enemies for a few seconds but has a longer cooldown. Having 3 plants that you place around the map for healing and slowing enemies too. For a tank ultimate, it'd likely just be something like Groot's, and for a support ultimate, it'd infect everybody in an area and force them to shoot at each other like a slow body-shot only turret.
One issue with tanks that a lot of people are forgetting, is that they need that big hit box. It's the offset and balance to them having the health and armor that they do. Rivals is certainly proving that the roles don't have to be absolute. Captain America is a tank that functions more like a dps, but he doesn't have the same health as the larger tanks. Same for Dr Strange and his shield. Sue being a strategist instead of a vanguard or duelist works because her kit is designed armor actually making her powers work for the game. She gives shields that her team can hide behind (healing by catching their breath) pushes and pulls enemies away, and more importantly, turns herself and everyone else invisible. Tanks/vanguards still need that larger hit box though. I'd say Superman as a tank with at least one ability to shield allies, Wonder Woman as a damage with additional defense granted by her bracelets, and Batman as a support with stun and evasive abilities. This type of setup also helps the perception of what characters are more powerful than the others, since the more street level human characters would be mainly support while the more powerful ones are frontliners and damage dealers.
Plastic Man could be so much more than copy-and-paste Mr. Fantastic. He would be such a zany, smooth, and fun character to play as who can genuinely shapeshift!
What if Beast Boy was designed to be able to switch between tank, duelist and strategist roles based on different animal forms? I guess kinda like how Cloak and Dagger operate in Rivals.
There's more than one way to make a support. Batman is known for batarangs and smoke pellets, so lets play with this idea. Batarang: deals low damage but tags enemies, allowing allies to deal more damage to them, as well as being able to see them through walls. Adjust timer and range to balance. Smoke pellet: This conceals allies from enemies, making them harder to hit. You could make it so moves that tag them don't work whilst in the smoke, or even add the dodge mechanic from payday 2. Just keep the chance to completely ignore damage to like, I don't know, 20-25%? Although that might even be too high. Should be mentioned that if you do it this way, then maybe don't include the physical concealment, just for balance. Although you could also make it only last for like 7 seconds. You can definitely play with this. Grapple hook: Simple, if you hit environment, you fly off of that. If you hit an enemy, stuns and drags. Yet again, change range and stun time to balance. Detective vision(passive): You can see the tracks of enemies and they are permanently highlighted(different from tag, this should only be if you physically see someone). Can make tracking down enemies easier, and give a bit of information support if you don't know the enemy team comp in this game. If we are doing weaknesses, you could also make it so they are displayed. Just going with some ideas. Ultimate - I'm the surgeon: Admittedly chosen just because I think its a cool quote, but works in this context. You call upon the batwing to fire a bunch of smoke canisters into an area. This has the normal effect of smoke, plus the ability to heal, maybe with nanites.(It's Batman, you can come up with an explanation). If you want to go further, you could make the canister deal a low amount of damage. Also, gliding is kind of Iconic, if you want to add it, do so, In conclusion, that's how I would make batman a support. Not what people probably had in mind, but hey, I think this fits for a more non-traditional support and it still seems like it would be fun to play, and require skill and coordination to master. As for other heroes, I don't know, just finished the Batman part. See you maybe in another comment.
I think your concept of The Flash (particularly Wally) being a support is a very fun one to explore. He could have a separate consumable "Speed Force" ammo that his abilities would use, like Mantis' Life Orbs or Thor's Thorforce. Give him four. Like Mantis. Have him heal a little bit each time he uses them. Kinda like Mantis... He could expend one to throw a bolt of Speed Force lightning at a teammate as an alt. fire, it heals them and gives a movement boost (by imbuing his allies with the energy of the Speed Force he causes their bodies to accelerate, which includes their rate of cellular regeneration). He's obviously gonna have a big dash ability, but I think it'd be cool if it was similar to both Cloak & Dagger's ultimate and Captain America's dash. Any allies he passes through/near will be healed a bit, but if he touches an enemy, he stops. Hitting an enemy triggers a sort of mini-Infinite Mass Punch that knocks them back and deals decent damage. This would probably expend two Speed Force Charges. The reason I mention it being Wally in particular is because I want to steal from Hela, have Wally's ability to steal speed (yeah, yeah, I know Barry can do it too) act similarly to her stun orb as he drains an enemy's momentum and brings them to a complete halt (and deals a little damage.) Now, this could just be another generic lightning animation, but I personally think it would be way cooler if you took from Red Rush. In the animated version of Invincible, Omi-Man v.s. The Guardians of The Globe is like, an actual fight. When War Woman and Omni-Man are swinging at eachother, we see for a brief moment Omni-Man is about to throw a punch and Red Rush runs in to counter it before running back out, and I think that is a significantly cooler visual. I'm thinking this is just a cooldown ability like Mantis' sleep spore (that's the last time I'm saying Mantis I swear.) If he misses he obviously wastes it but maybe he regains a Speed Force Charge if it hits. For his third ability I was thinking he spends three speed force charges to do the Iron Fist thing where he becomes Genji for a few seconds (his role as a Support would recontextualize this ability's purpose; he could use it for self-preservation but also a pseudo-tanking ability to protect his teammates.) He snatches up projectiles because it's always fun to see him catch a bunch of bullets. Maybe as he does this he has a small healing over time area of effect, so if he's standing in front of a teammate to protect them that teammate gets healed, and he gives himself some temp health. Now we can take the Mister Fantastic approach and have him shoot a projectile back, but I specified Iron Fist because I want him to clap back with a stronger version of his primary fire. For his primary fire I think he should just straight up punch people, but that might not synergize well with his role, therefore I'd like to re-use that little Red Rush example. It'd be cool if it was technically a "ranged" attack, but the animation implied that he ran up to someone and punched them, then ran back to his position. You could play around with streaks of lightning and afterimages to give that effect. After he uses his parry, the boosted version could have him just actually lock onto someone and hit them for big damage and knockback, or lock onto an ally and give them a big heal. The normal primary fire could be called "Supersonic Punch" and the upgraded version could be called "Infinite Mass Punch". I think his ultimate would be really cool if they made it a composite of Psylocke's and Luna Snow's. He makes a big AoE he can drag around where he's dashing around at super speed and you can alternate between damaging enemies or healing allies (like how Luna can alternate between healing her team or providing a damage boost.) He's either running around kicking the enemy team's ass as they're scrambling to escape, or he's running around blocking attacks and catching projectiles while his team gets healing over time. Call it "Fastest Man Alive" or something, that'd be cool. He can obviously wall-run as a passive but I think he should also get a temporary movement boost when he takes damage. Though I do recognize people would want a DPS speedster too. Which is also why I propose Zoom to fill that role. As for what the team-up equivalents would be, I'm clinging on to the fact that you called it "DC Friends." Marvel RIVALS is a game where you derive additional power from synergizing character picks with your teammates, so I think it'd be quite comical if in DC Friends/Partners/Accomplices/whatever you got extra abilities based on characters who are canonical enemies. So if you have a Flash and a Zoom on your team, they get a team-up ability. But also, if there's a Flash on your team and a Zoom on the ENEMY team, it still triggers a "team-up" ability. Holy yap. Anyway, we need Shuma-Gorath in Marvel Rivals as a Strategist.
Dc also has plenty of Map ideas to pull from, Gotham, metropolis, central city, themyscira, Atlantis, OA, a future stage based around the legion of superheroes, Gorilla city, the watchtower, also have specific locations as arcade stages like titans tower, Arkham asylum, black gate and the flash museum, you mentioned him as playable character in the video but Danny the street or call him Danny the stage could be a awesome map and play into all the doom patrol wackiness also Mogo the living planet green lantern could be the same
I think Zatanna could be a very cool healer. She could do stuff like convert damage done to heals or shields. Idk I'd have to brainstorm more, but her kit could be insane
Someone had an idea for Marvel Rivals. A companion mechanic to "Team Ups". "Rivalries". Essentially you get a unique buff if someone on the opposite team is your character's rival, where they *also* get the buff. The main example I've seen is Thing vs. Hulk. They both get decent defensive buffs *except* against each other, meaning that whenever they see each other on the field, it's encouraged to make them fight *on sight*, turning the game into a slobberknocker slugfest.
going with the idea of batman being a support character, giving more of his dps aspects to a character like killer moth could be a fun twist since he was initially supposed to be "the evil batman"
I really love the idea of the big three of DC representing the three character roles, I’ve always sounded crazy to my friends when I said Batman should be a strategist when we talk about stuff like this 😂
Im sure people would find a way to make that doomsday ability (where he dies and gains more health) super op Like they would just repeatedly jump of the map until they have insane amounts of health
I think Red Hood could be a really fun tank. It'd be nice to have various batfam members be different types. Like Bruce and Tim being Strategists, Damien and Dick being Duelists, and Jason and I guess Luke or Barbara being tanks.
I think a good double character a la Cloak and Dagger would be Mr Miracle and Big Barda. I like the idea of Scott being able to heal and jump in/out of the fight with Barda, who attacks with melee. One of the best powers in couples in comics, and a pretty niche part of the universe
Me and my friends were having a long talk about this just the other day. Make Booster Gold a support where Skeets has a healing beam and a timestop grenade like mantis. His ult is the same as Luna snow where he just does a big over dramatic speech that heals allies. A mini Starro with a heal beam who can buff allies and his ult is taking control of an enemy forcing the enemies to kill their own ally. Harry Quinn with a revolver and shotgun combo like Winter Solider and Punisher. Power Girl mainly uses her heat vision for her basic while Superman punches. She's a DPS that rushes in unlike her reserved cousin and her ultimate causes her to summon either Krypto or Streaky to do massive area of effect damage like a Psylocke ult. Poison Ivy summons a garden and allies that die in it get revived and she has a poison kiss move that can stun flankers. It goes on and on.
What if Danny the Street isn't a character himself, but he's an ultimate for Robot Man or someone. They lay Danny onto the map and everyone on the street gets buffs/debuffs? Danny could even warp players to objectives like Dr. Strange's portals!
7:16 Na full on Batman is a support in cannon…. In the animated series whenever there was a big fight supes and the rest would be scrapping and Batman would be in the background, he gets the monsters attention with a baterang when someone gets in trouble and then furiously dodges for his life, then he figures out the weakness and tells the others so they can win. he’s not a heavy hitter he’s an assist, that’s how he should work in this game but with a grapple and glider so his movement is fun
Peacemaker- Duelist similar to The Punisher. He could have a lot of really cool abilities with all of his helmets and weapons. Lobo- Either Vanguard or Duelist. His hook could work like Winter Soldier's. Give him his space bike and your gold. The Question- I'd make him a strategist. Give him some Spy TF2-like stealth ability, a pistol for his primary, and a way to heal and I'd be satisfied. Rorschach- I'd make him similar to The Question moveset wise, but a Duelist. Replace his stealth and healing abilities with damaging ones. Dr. Manhattan- I'd actually make him a strategist. Let him fly like Iron Man or Storm. To be honest, I don't really have many good ideas for him, but I still think he'd be cool. Swamp Thing- It's tempting to make him a tank and literally just copy paste Groot's moveset but I think he fits more as a strategist.
If they do decide to make a DC Rivals type of game, they need to make the Characters with an appealing Art style like Marvel Rivals. (Give WW the GYATT)
The biggest problem with a DC Rivals type of game is that characters fall under one of two categories: -Street-level vigilante/criminal -Literal fucking gods In something like Injustice, it's fine, since the only real sacrifices you have to make are damage and survivability. In DC Rivals, however, you'd have half the team engaged in Dragon Ball fights in the air, the other have 1-shotting each other on the ground, and in the midst of it all, the Supports are left wondering wtf is going on (except for Batman, who's 1-shotting people on his own anyway, cuz they HAVE to give him Arkham stealth gameplay.) Unless you have characters like Red Hood just 1-shotting Superman out of the air, or Doomsday not being able to kill Green Arrow by himself, you're going to be losing ALOT of power fantasy, because the DC power fantasy is split in half between those two ideas. Other than saying Batman is able to beat anyone with prep time, there's not alot of ways for those ideas to coexist.
This is a stupid excuse. You could say the same thing about marvel. Someone like black widow and punisher have no chance against people like adam warlock, hulk, magneto etc yet there they are
That DVA/Hulk de-mech gimmick would honestly work really well with Bane imo. Have him need to inject venom into himself to power up, and once he "dies" he goes back and needs to charge up more
To add onto your point about the “Rivals” aspect and the inclusion of more villains, what could set this game apart is if was 6v6 of Team Heroes vs Team Villains. Essentially Justice League vs Legion of Doom. Especially with how the theme of good vs evil is still very central to DC. A fun premise might be to take inspiration from the recent World’s Finest story (or the first Marvel’s Secret Wars) and have it be 5D Imps holding a competition to determine if earth’s heroes or villains are greater. In general having Mr. Mxy and the 5D Imps filling the Galacta role would be fun and an opportunity for unique gameplay elements, and a way for any “game-ification” to feel natural. Though having it be strictly heroes vs villains probably would not actually work, since it would be a nightmare for balancing. And probably not popular since most people would probably just want to play as the heroes, and not have their character selection limited. But it was just an idea. Definitely need more villain representation though!
The whole team “team ups” do sound cool, but I do feel like it could cause some animosity. It’s fun to get to play as whoever you want in these games. So your whole team being angry at you because you don’t want to be Hawk Girl to fill out a Justice league roster doesn’t sound like a fun experience.
@@JimmyBusher This would also help in a beneficial way, having an incomplete Justice League and a character that supports them all, making the team overall stronger. Much more teamup potential with two or three characters being buffed for being teammates and the rest of the team being better in solo compositions.
Larfleeze could be a really interesting character considering a huge part of his power set in the comics is summoning his ghost minions. We’ve never really gotten a summon character in one of these games and I’d love to see a team try and pull that off.
Hal Jordan duelist, John Stewart tank, Kyle Rayner support on launch. Sinestro duelist, Atrocitus tank, Saint Walker (or Star Sapphire?) support over time. Definitely need a Black Lantern season with William Hand as a support and several Black Lantern skins.
Genuinely, you are a highlight of my day. I love your takes on different topics, and I wait in anticipation for your next video. I would like to clarify that I don't say all this as an expectation of more content sooner, just as an expression of my gratitude. Thank you so much for all you do.💙💙💙
Some ideas Bizarro: Quite literally the exact opposite of Superman - Tank Deadshot: Sniper - Dps Captain Boomerang: Functions similar to Moon Knight with ricochet- Dps King Shark/Killer Croc - Tank Hugo Strange - Support Kite man - Support Peacemaker - Dps Bloodsport: similar to Punisher - Dps Frankenstein - Tank Deadman - Support Swamp Thing: works possibly similar to Groot - Tank The Question - Support Riddler - Support Man-Bat - Tank
Batman as a support is easy Main attack is his batarangs - pretty much work as you expect, but I’d also put a slight rebuff on enemies hit after they take a certain amount of damage His secondary is throwing smoke bombs that slow enemies and heal allies while they remain in the area - he gets a few of these before it goes on cool-down (As a bonus, members of the Bat Family who get hit with these smoke bombs initially get a few seconds of invisibility) For movement he gets his grappling hook and a glide - Moon Knight basically nailed it He gets a revival power - Robin Rescue. Mark an ally initially and if they die while marked you can point to an area where they respawn in a puff of smoke with Robin grappling out Hus ultimate I imagine is kind of like Invisible Woman’s, where he uses the Dark Knight/Year one “summon a bunch of bats with sonar” gadget
If DC Rivals ever happens, I'd love to have Damian Wayne's Robin and Jon Kent's Superboy and have a Super Sons teamup. Both could be really good duelists, with Damian being a stealth dps while Jon is more of a "head on" kinda character.
It might be a weird idea, but Cyborg should be a tank, that can heal people. Like, he would have mainly tank abilities, but he has one skill that is specifically created to heal teammates.
8:47 The problem with different voices for different skins is that they would have to keep bringing the second va back for all future recordings (new hero interactions or story voice lines) just for one skin
I think a super cool announcer idea would be to implement a telepathic character like Martian Manhunter, or even M'gann. And they could even bring a silly character like Bat-Mite to announce alongside them 💯💯
Hear me out, Killer Croc as a tank, with a more animalistic look like a tail and a more crocodilian snout for tail whips and bite attacks basically making him a cross of Jeff and Venom (minus the healing and teather obviously). I just want my boy Waylon to get some love
If they make one, Imma need City Boy it it. Give him the phasing abilities you were talking about, and have one or two of his abilities change depending on the map.
honestly I know it’s SO unlucky, but it would be so cool to just call the game Rivals and make the game with DC! It could literally be one of the biggest games ever plus it’ll help them both out! DC and MARVEL playing into the “rivalry” and making it happen would be so sick. They could make a really cool story too!
Amazing concept .. never happening. Ain’t know way Disney or Warner sharing the pot together haha. It’s more likely you’d get A WB styled rivals than any other franchise crossover. So essentially multi versal but just hero shooter instead of fighting game
@jonathanpf9491 Yeah there's basically zero chance. Just as somebody who doesn't enjoy fighting games. I'd prefer the IPS cross in a game like this than something like Marvel Vs Capcom
what are we some kind of DC adversaries? some kind of DC enemies? some kind of DC nemeses? some kind of DC antagonists? some kind of

He seems more like a utility “duelist” rather than a support
But idk. I feel like he should have combat focused abilities and have other members of the bat-family have a utility support.
Maybe Nightwing since he’s been a leader & mentor to multiple teams. Way more often than Bruce.
Should also pair well with Starfire who would be a damage character.
I agree with this bc I feel like the big 3 (Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman) should all rep different classes also batman could have recon abilities
Maybe he could even disarm traps and stuff so he would be a perfect counter to Joker
Batman as a healerrr?? No he should play lile moon knight on steroids
Definitely enjoying the idea of Batman as a support. That man has trained and supported more supheroes than half the DC universe aside from the Flash.
I'd feel like he'd be the Jeff of DC Rivals.
Almost impossible to K/O while also being able to heal the whole team in a matter of seconds
My prep time is now your prep time. You're welcome
Or maybe he could tell his contigency plans to the teamates and now they deal more damage to the other team
Also his various knowledges and skills can easily explain how he heals anyone he's paired with.
support who can beat the shit out off the enemy team but is squishy at the same time would be funny

Team up ability ideas
Wayne Tech -> Triggered by any bat family member + Batman. Gives them access to the grappling hook. It’s basic, but it’s giving them all an extra mobility option
The Green -> Triggered by any 2 or more characters associated with the green. It’ll give damage up and increase health recovered from healing abilities for the Green characters
Emotional spectrum -> Everyone of the team is a different lantern color…up everything, don’t care how busted it is.
Wayne tech -> Batfamily members + Batman gain an extra 10% DMG upgrade or takes -10% DMG.
i love how whenever deathstroke shows up you always play not like us. It has become a channel tradition this point
Cassandra Cain’s passive should be that she can tell everyone’s cooldowns and Ult charge just by looking at them
That matches her because she can read body language and movements
@ Yeah it’s sometimes hard to implement some of these characters’ more complicated powers but I think this is the best way to do Cass. Besides her passive, make her a mix of Black Panther and Iron Fist dive melee character.
Okay, Danny the Street as a stage would be pretty sick. Imagine all the street names, billboards and graffiti around the block just changing around depending on how the match is going. Like, a character gets a good kill and one of the billboards says “Nice one, Damian!”, or maybe you turn a corner into the alley while being attacked and the wall graffiti changes to say “Barry, look out!”
I feel like this would be hard to program, but I still think it would be cool.

Npcs want instant gratification Lil bro the game will die so fast not like DC isn't already doing bad😂
It's also real funny and opens the idea for fun dialogs:
Superman: Up you go, Batman!
I think the title for this hypothetical game would be "DC Olympians", as DC characters are often described as gods

I need killer moth. I know you want killer moth, troyoboyo!!
KILLER MOTH SUPREMACY!!!!

MOTH THE GOAT
KILLER MOTH!!!
If there is a DC hero shooter, i’d go with the paladins route of having 4 roles.
Tank, Disrupt, Dps, Support.
How do they work exactly? I'm not familiar with Paladins although I've heard it mentioned several times now I never got to really check it out.
In that case, Batman would definitely be a Disrupt type
Honestly would love to have Alfred Pennyworth in the game as DPS, not only because I want to go around as a butler with a shotgun taking down major league heroes, but also because itd be even more hilarious with Batman as support and Alfred as DPS.
Cyborg IS the muscle if you watch Teen Titans LOL but he is smart and drops nukes like Ironman in Rivals
Raven could be Strategist and DPS by switching like Cloak and Dagger or Hela in Smite, healing with the White cape and dmg with the purple cape !
4:45 Taking inspiration from the Tower of Babel as the basis for the game's story is a brilliant move
Alls I'm saying is; if they made Marvel Rivals a crossover game with DC, it would be the biggest game of all time for a long time.
Call it "DC: ALLIES"
It could be cool if the villain character have kits specifically designed to kill the heroes, that way you can balance characters without debuffing them
Hal - DPS
Guy - DPS
Kyle - Strategist
John - Vanguard
You can even make an argument that Hela is more neutral than just evil. Could be wrong but I’m thinking of how she was portrayed in Hulk vs Thor.
I feel like each part of the trinity should be a different type to give them that since of being the stars in their leagues and a fantastic unit together
So Superman tank, Wonder Woman dps, and Batman support
Also, gliding is kind of Iconic, if you want to add it, do so,
In conclusion, that's how I would make batman a support.
Holy yap. Anyway, we need Shuma-Gorath in Marvel Rivals as a Strategist.
my absolute delight hearing your plan for making batman a strategist
Dc also has plenty of Map ideas to pull from, Gotham, metropolis, central city, themyscira, Atlantis, OA, a future stage based around the legion of superheroes, Gorilla city, the watchtower, also have specific locations as arcade stages like titans tower, Arkham asylum, black gate and the flash museum,
you mentioned him as playable character in the video but Danny the street or call him Danny the stage could be a awesome map and play into all the doom patrol wackiness also Mogo the living planet green lantern could be the same
I think Zatanna could be a very cool healer. She could do stuff like convert damage done to heals or shields. Idk I'd have to brainstorm more, but her kit could be insane
Dex-Star being a duelist is all I need. Literally one of the best DC characters ever made
Someone had an idea for Marvel Rivals.
I really love the idea of the big three of DC representing the three character roles, I’ve always sounded crazy to my friends when I said Batman should be a strategist when we talk about stuff like this 😂
The Question. I have no clue what class he'd be but the idea of an uber paranoid conspiracy theorist fits into a video game character so well
Utility strategist maybe? I think this game would need a class that’s got a lot of tactical benefits but doesn’t heal per se
@@samclayton628 but also he could heal, isnt his mask made of sintetic skin? he could totally seal wounds
Flash "rush to the nearest health pack" move would be *so toxic* and it's absolutely a good idea to make that one an extremely long cool down.

Im sure people would find a way to make that doomsday ability (where he dies and gains more health) super op
Like they would just repeatedly jump of the map until they have insane amounts of health
I think Red Hood could be a really fun tank. It'd be nice to have various batfam members be different types. Like Bruce and Tim being Strategists, Damien and Dick being Duelists, and Jason and I guess Luke or Barbara being tanks.
Superman's dive, which you likened to Venom's, can legit be just a generic superhero landing. Fits perfectly imo
I think a good double character a la Cloak and Dagger would be Mr Miracle and Big Barda. I like the idea of Scott being able to heal and jump in/out of the fight with Barda, who attacks with melee.
One of the best powers in couples in comics, and a pretty niche part of the universe
Man this is making me really theory craft a DC Rivals.
Never had so much fun doing it before. Thanks Netease.
A "DC Rivals" would be an amazing way to kick start a new era to the DC games.
Id honestly love to imagine what a DC Marvel Rivals could look like as there's tons of great characters to pick from.
Clayface would be such a cool character. His shapeshifting along with his ability to change the shape and size of his body would be so fun to play.
You could honestly make a solid “hero” shooter roster out of Batman’s Rogues Gallery alone.
The biggest problem with a DC Rivals type of game is that characters fall under one of two categories:
-Street-level vigilante/criminal
-Literal fucking gods
In something like Injustice, it's fine, since the only real sacrifices you have to make are damage and survivability.
In DC Rivals, however, you'd have half the team engaged in Dragon Ball fights in the air, the other have 1-shotting each other on the ground, and in the midst of it all, the Supports are left wondering wtf is going on (except for Batman, who's 1-shotting people on his own anyway, cuz they HAVE to give him Arkham stealth gameplay.)
Unless you have characters like Red Hood just 1-shotting Superman out of the air, or Doomsday not being able to kill Green Arrow by himself, you're going to be losing ALOT of power fantasy, because the DC power fantasy is split in half between those two ideas. Other than saying Batman is able to beat anyone with prep time, there's not alot of ways for those ideas to coexist.
That cam very easily be solved by having the game work with the 5th dimensional imps pulling the strings
my one problem is that iron man's armor is made of wet paper in rivals, because of course a flying tank would be op
I still think Red Hood would fit more Black Widow’s style more than Punisher!
The whole team “team ups” do sound cool, but I do feel like it could cause some animosity. It’s fun to get to play as whoever you want in these games. So your whole team being angry at you because you don’t want to be Hawk Girl to fill out a Justice league roster doesn’t sound like a fun experience.
you get a team up If you have two or more characters in the justice league but the buff isn't as much as if you have a full roster
I love it when troyoboyo uploads

Genuinely, you are a highlight of my day. I love your takes on different topics, and I wait in anticipation for your next video. I would like to clarify that I don't say all this as an expectation of more content sooner, just as an expression of my gratitude. Thank you so much for all you do.💙💙💙
Some ideas
Bizarro: Quite literally the exact opposite of Superman - Tank
Deadshot: Sniper - Dps
Captain Boomerang: Functions similar to Moon Knight with ricochet- Dps
King Shark/Killer Croc - Tank
Hugo Strange - Support
Kite man - Support
Peacemaker - Dps
Bloodsport: similar to Punisher - Dps
Frankenstein - Tank
Deadman - Support
Swamp Thing: works possibly similar to Groot - Tank
The Question - Support
Riddler - Support
Man-Bat - Tank
Batman as a support is easy
Main attack is his batarangs - pretty much work as you expect, but I’d also put a slight rebuff on enemies hit after they take a certain amount of damage
His secondary is throwing smoke bombs that slow enemies and heal allies while they remain in the area - he gets a few of these before it goes on cool-down
(As a bonus, members of the Bat Family who get hit with these smoke bombs initially get a few seconds of invisibility)
For movement he gets his grappling hook and a glide - Moon Knight basically nailed it
He gets a revival power - Robin Rescue. Mark an ally initially and if they die while marked you can point to an area where they respawn in a puff of smoke with Robin grappling out
Hus ultimate I imagine is kind of like Invisible Woman’s, where he uses the Dark Knight/Year one “summon a bunch of bats with sonar” gadget
I really love this character concept you came up with!
This is a great concept.
Aye this is a really solid concept u got there 👍
If DC Rivals ever happens, I'd love to have Damian Wayne's Robin and Jon Kent's Superboy and have a Super Sons teamup. Both could be really good duelists, with Damian being a stealth dps while Jon is more of a "head on" kinda character.
It might be a weird idea, but Cyborg should be a tank, that can heal people. Like, he would have mainly tank abilities, but he has one skill that is specifically created to heal teammates.
heavy TF2

8:47 The problem with different voices for different skins is that they would have to keep bringing the second va back for all future recordings (new hero interactions or story voice lines) just for one skin
They should have Robby Reed from Dial H For Hero but he’s just the random character button
Yes
I think a super cool announcer idea would be to implement a telepathic character like Martian Manhunter, or even M'gann. And they could even bring a silly character like Bat-Mite to announce alongside them 💯💯
I’d love to see some of the doom patrol get a spot on a potential roster, an absolute tank Robotman voiced by Brendan Fraser would be incredible
The Alpha has spoken.
There’s literally a song about picking a support called No Mercy by the Living Tombstone.
Honestly instead of splitting the player base over two games. Adding DC to Marvel Rivals would be insane but so much fun
