Wing chun is a light form of kungfu. Main purpose is self defence. It doesn't need much body conditioning. comparing and degrading it is not a good idea.
wingchun is southern style which meant 70% and above hand techniques(punching, elbowing, palming, body shoving, etc). .with minimal use of the lower extremities like kicking and kneeing. .it belongs to the soft style(not light as you mentioned) like aikido but softest of them all was taichi chuan. . . .and mind you all martial arts main purpose was for self defense. .you dont train in martial arts of any form because you want to be a dancer. .

In a fight, I put my opponent on the ass with one blow. If you watch any video of karate or taekwondo breaking boards, you will notice that the partners holding the boards are in a wide zenkutsu dachi stance. This is not done for beauty, as you might think - but in order not to fly to the floor. So don't talk nonsense.
