Sometimes I do "couch jumps". It's where you are laying on the couch and your wife turns the channel to something like the "Bachelor" and you quickly jump off the couch and out of the room. It builds explosive power as well as protect you from declining testosterone levels.

This channel deserves way more views than it has. Dropping knowledge like it grows on trees. Fucking killer content, keep it up.

Great stuff guys. I'm going to start adding some explosive training back into my workouts. I used to do this kind of stuff three years ago.
The next step of the depth jump is too add a knee tuck after....or one of my favorites is to do a long jump instead of a vertical jump after stepping off the box. I usually do those in a sandpit to help absorb the shock.
Thanks! I'm excited to bring this stuff back into my routine.

I learned this from the Russian weight lifting coach it really works well for explosive power.

    Hi Josh, Great video!
How would you suggest teaching these to somebody who is visually impaired?
I have a decent degree of vision but very little peripheral which seems to effect my balance. I have been trying jumping to a low box(around 18inches) but my balance seems off. Do you think repetitions would improve this? It may just be a confidence thing.

I think repetitions and slowly working your way down! I think Benn when you master it (will be harder) it will be more ingrained think of the old school Russian Weightlifting coaches that would have their students train blind folded

They made me watch the gayest AthleanX commercial before this video. Very unfortunate. I've never seen anything so soft and disappointing. He'd be a Jailhouse Victim.
