RARE Martin Brundle onboard 1992 Estoril (Amazing Senna overtake) + Bonus crash

In this video we go to Portugal in the early 90s when Brundle was driving for Benetton paired with Schumacher and Senna was still a McLaren driver fighting a strong Mansell in a Williams for the championship.
This is a rare onboard as most people only know Martin Brundle as a commentator.
He was an old school driver as you can see: manual shift, proper steering wheel and very low electronic aids, basically how it should be!
It was taken from the Italian transmission from the Portuguese Grand prix of 1992 in Estoril so Italian commentary!
I also show you a crazy crash that we could see live between Berger and Patrese right in the start/finish straight!

Very rare to see an overtake into the old turn 7. Mind you, Martin's tyres were almost shot, and Senna had 4 pitstops that day, and his tyres were only six laps old when he pulled that overtake. He then had ANOTHER tyre problem with about 2 laps to go but managed to finish 3rd. Lots of debris on the track from the Patrese shunt

i remember another overtake Senna on Brundle in the same race, not in that corner as shown here but in the last quick corner on the outside. so it wasn't only Villeneuve vs. Schumacher in 96 but also Senna on Brundle in 92

c´mon mate... what is the big deal about an overtake??? It´s just one car passing another... In my humble opinion, you have to admire more and complain less... These guys were driving killing machines, not tanks like today...

I recall that race but not that Patrese's car was just left there on a main straight. And another car sitting on grass just before the first corner. The safety was really crap.
