Loved your story, and the photos that go with it! Keep um coming so these younger folks know what life in the military was really like in our generation! I watch all your videos and look forward to the next one. You look great and are so engaged with life, you are a inspiration to us all, younger and seniors!
Thanks for supporting my videos and for the nice comment. I'm struggling to get to 15K subscribes and would appreciate if you and other viewers would spread the word about my channel.
@@JimForeman Good Morning Jim. I’m praying you have a beautiful day at the Villas today. I was sitting here and thinking about you and Freda. Bless her. I want you to know something. You have been such a wonderful gentleman. The amazing way you cared for your sweet wife all of her days with you.God certainly blessed her with a man who is stellar. But I also want you to know I have become a better person since I have known you. I’m very frugal and make great goodbye a lean budget! Also I’m practicing saving money in my mattress bank! Lol. Isn’t it amazing how the good Lord brings folks into our lives and we can learn from them no matter what age. I just want you to know how grateful I am for lessons learned from you. Thank you Professor Foreman. Life is good. Of course I still wish I was back in Texas! Lol. Take care Jim. ❤️🌞🙏☕️
Mr. Foreman! The egg slipped off, some sausage fell off, and it looked to be going south fast. Then the final result slapped us in the face with a mighty fine looking sandwich. That pan is a great tool for some cowboy cooking. Thanks again for a great idea and another great story. I love your videos. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks for being the first to comment but it turned out that the egg running over the edge of the bread pulled everyithing that fell over the edge back into the sandwich and nothing was left loose in the pan. Some thing just work out no matter how hard we try to screw it up. In fact, I think I'll try throwing everything together like bread pudding and see how it turns out.... perhaps another RUclips.
Great gadget! That sandwich looked yummy! And, what a great story! Who would have thought that you'd have met up with that fellow so many years later. Although, you are quite the memorable person! Hope you have a wonderful week! Stay safe and healthy out there! Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!
As an airport bum hanging out around Black Forest Gliderport, I got to meet a number of notable people. Any time John Denver wanted to escape from the Hollywood and music crowd, he'd hop in his Cessna and come over to Black Forest. If the Lennie Inn, a small 3 unit motel on the field, he'd usually stay at our house. I also met Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Christopher Reeve, all who came there to make high altitude glider flights (30,000 feet) in the Pikes Peak wave.
@@JimForeman That's so amazing to have met such amazing people! I'm glad you've added stories about your amazing life. This way, they are never lost to time. Thank you so very much for all you do. I appreciate you!
I saw the photo of Freda with Christopher Reeves. Nice photo. I have also seen the clips with John Denver. Thanks for sharing so much of your life with us. God Bless and have a great day
Kept waiting for you to take a sip of coffee! Knew it was good and hot to go along with the breakfast sandwich. Looked so good and for dessert a story. Thanks Jim. Thanks Tina. Have a blessed day . Enjoyed the campfire scene.
Thanks Jim, for your tasty cowboy sandwich and interesting story. As you may recall I was a mechanic on K8 and Jeep driver for the company commander on Okinawa and Iwo Jima. BTW, your story, “The Ugly Green Carpet” was published in the October 13th issue of “The Lee County Observer”.
Great! That was the first magazine article I ever sold. Yes, I remember you telling of being in the 'O3rd but I had already mustered out by the time you got there. I was doing my two weeks summer camp in 1955 and got assigned to the 1903rd which was building helicopter pads at Fort Wolters, located west the DFW area at Mineral Wells. The unit was down to about 200 people when I arrived and they had just recreived orders that all EAB units were being deactivated and returned to their various National Guard units. On July 25, there was five people left, the CO, his driver, the Exec and Supply Officers and me. The ceremony was short and sweet: I marched the driver carrying the unit colors to where they were handed to the people from the Illinois National Guard and it was over in 10 minutes. The 1903rd EAB was no more.
I love your videos so much! You remind me so much if my own grandparents. I wish there was a way to keep your videos on DVD so I can always watch, if I don't have internet
It's a neat litle pan but it gets blazing hot and could give nasty burns which is probably why one can't find them any more, not even on Ebay. Best betwould be thrift or Good Will stores. Tina said if I ever wanted to get rid of it, she'd like it back. She gave to me for Christmas. I have a couple more ideas I want to try out with it.
Great story, Jim. Of course I had heard about (and read about) you flying that Korean plane, but I had never heard the last part about you meeting your Korean driver again at Black Forrest. What a coincidence!
I just looked it up and it was a Japanese Aichi DIA2, it was classed as a light carrier bomber, code name: The Suzie. A few were used for Kamikazi strikes but they were so slow that they were easily shot down before they reached a target.
I'm not only a Cowboys (football) fan but came from a long line of cowboys. John McQuatty Archer was my Great-Grandfather and I grew up on a ranch. ruclips.net/video/ur3wer6LEgA/видео.html

They are the best buy when it comes to food and so versitile. Thanks for the comment.

Glad you liked it. Thanks for the comment.
Awesome little sandwich maker I think I need to get one of those
Just be careful because they get really hot

I didn't tell the story of the follow-up meeting of my driver some 30 years later, just forgot it at the time .
A really good video mr foreman! Was wondering why the planes you flew in Korea were called tow planes?
Hi Mary, I flew the tow planes I mentioned way after Korea when I was at the Black Forest (Colorado) Gliderport and the USAF Academy there.
Morning Mr Foreman! Maybe try your little circle for round eggs.
Give it a go, it's so easy.
Jim, I want jalapenos, slice of tomato next time. Good story.
Will do but I usually go with what I have.
Sandwich looked so good and I loved the story RIP

I try to come up with something different and good. Thanks for the comment.
I havent heard him mention his wife in a while. Is she ok?
Do you remember what the plane was, Jim? Maybe a New Standard D-25?
I just looked it up and it was a Japanese Aichi DIA2, it was classed as a light carrier bomber, code name: The Suzie. A few were used for Kamikazi strikes but they were so slow that they were easily shot down before they reached a target.
