very nice, thank you we were there last summer passed through on way to Othello Tunnels hope to come back this year to vist our son in Vancouver, we are from the UK :)
I am totally homesick now... Thank you for sharing the wonderful sights with us. I've been meaning to go back for a visit, but I'm terrified that seeing my old backyard turned into some sort of trailer park would kill me. Actually, (according to Google maps) my old backyard is now some sort of maintenence yard, or belongs to a guy with lots of heavy duty equipment. There were only a handful of houses there when I was a kid...my grandparent's house, a dentist's house, our old house, our "new" house, and in between them, a rental house that my grandfather had. The beach on Landstrom Road was my backyard. I learned to swim and skate there. Guessing it's trashed by now. According to my dad, my grandfather had owned that area...but because he had no gate up, the government took it from him. However, the did name a street after him...joy. I don't even want to think about what happened to their house/yard. Biggest roses you ever saw used to grow there!
