I’m still laughing my ass of about those people trying to pull the stone wall out with a small dodge pick up and then at that angle! How high were they 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely love your videos just stumbled upon them today! My husband and I are trying to start doing rentals! Any advice or anything I can help with to learn some things from you!
You can totally cut that cement out with the tools they used Key is to drill a hole every inch right through the wall and it will all crumble Pay a guy $15/hour and will take him 6 hours
I'm curious to know if any of the neighbors have reached out to your about making the house a vacation rental. I considered doing one of mine as a short term and the neighbors were not happy at all. I decided against it because I always try to be really respectful of the neighborhood. Have the neighbors reached out to you at all?
Sorry, this just seems like a complete chaos project. Not a lot of planning it appears. Have you looked at other properties in the area on Airbnb to see what they look like for comparison? Have you checked out AirDNA for historical information on the rent you can charge? Maybe it's just the way it looks now, but it reminds me of a college crash pad and not a property that would garner huge cash flow as a vacation rental. I would hire an interior designer to come on and help a little. Also, the reason the working guys could not get the wall out is twofold. First, that section of concrete is HEAVY, really HEAVY. So them trying to pull it out without some kind of aid like a hydraulic ram was a waste. Second, the straight cuts were holding them back as well, cut a section in the middle at 45 degrees around the top and two sides of the section and then pull out the smaller section. You could then cut the other parts into sections and get it pulled out.
Yikes, if I was getting an Airbnb, grandma's house would be a hard pass in its current condition. But props to you for trying and I hope it works out
Can’t wait to get some free wood
Needs a good makeover, the grandma vibe doesn't cut it for anyone other than grandma.

As a vacation rental I’m not getting a place that has a “grandma vibe”
You need to advertise it as "mid century modern" instead of vintage. I've been wondering about an update on this property. Good video Chandler.
Mid century modern it is not. That furniture was cool during that period.

Yogi is the best!!
Is it difficult to get the permit for a 2-Unit property?
You don't want to sell their home. It's sacred. All the great memories
Trying to figure out if I want to do this with my Grandma’s house. It’s a 4bd/3ba on 6 acres in a suburban area
Happy Thanksgiving
Good idea to turn it into a triplex. One for yogi.
Been waiting for this video
No offense, man, but I wouldn’t rent it as a vacation rental. Too dated. I think the triplex idea would be more profitable.

I like that you didn't have to do much to turn in into a rental.
