There's something about his ease and clarity which makes you want to go and find out as much as you can about physics and maths. I hope he is in the public eye for a long time to come. Nice to see the shirts occasionally too!
He gave an excellent lecture at UCD. It had everything that makes studying physics worthwhile. He is able to give very interesting views on a subject which scares many with its complexity without oversimplifying it so even people with years of experience of looking at Lagrangians and path integrals can sit down with people who are new to the subject,or simply curious, and listen to him. He's continuing the tradition of Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman, bringing powerful knowledge to the masses.
I was watching in the Astra Hall. He actually went to the UCD school of physics common room afterwards to see some of the undergraduates and postgraduates and some of the ones that stuck around got a photo with him which was very nice of him to do. Hopefully he will be back again in the future.
I was in the UCD Student Centre watching and listening to Brian`s Speech,as he gave the inaugural lecture at the opening of University College Dublin`s new science centre. This is an interview Brian gave with Ireland`s RTE television before his talk. I`m going to add this to my Pinterest page, in case RTE remove this.
Unfortunately not. I was hoping the University were going to record the talk and then put it online, but so far they haven`t. I would be surprised if no-one at the Uni had recorded Brian`s talk, but maybe no-one did,I don`t know.
Were you in the main Science building,or watching with us minions in the Astra Hall? If you were in the same building as him,did anyone get to meet him afterwards?
Oh well done for uploading this I was going to do it but you done a better job hope his lecture was filmed I would of gone but my passports out of date.

I think he is such an asset to the BBC.

Hello Ann.Here is the interview. He was opening UCD`s new science centre and Tweeted later on in the day he had been really impressed with it.
