In part one I demonstrate lots of possibilities using the Future Impact alone: 20+ presets demonstrating the editor and all of the different 'blocks' of the Future Impact. In this video, I wanted to show how amazingly powerful the Future Impact is when combined with other effects. The 5 presets I used in this video for the Future Impact were custom patches. They can be found here.

Wow, amazing sounds man. I've exploring the bass synth thing lately and I'm blown away by the sounds that u can get out of these effects. It adds a whole new dimension to playing bass. I've never really been into effects but now I'm very inclined to dive into the effects world

Man, I found your videos over the summer when I was just starting to put my board together. I definitely have gone my own way with pedal selection, but use a lot of the same concepts you go over here. Generally using my TWA Great Divide to cover synthness, and modulate from there. Having a lot of fun myself, and always enjoy your videos. Very in depth, and some of the heaviest pedals on the market! Those two H9's tho. I keep bumping that to the back of my list, but I love what you do with them. My current GAS attack is coming from the Ottobit Jr by Meris. Great tones man, can't say it enough. Just want to say thanks (and curses!) for helping me see just how deep pedal play can get, on top of rock solid chops.
Just a fantastic video, man! I've had the FI for a few months and find myself using it more and more. Having just connected it to the Source Audio Soleman in conjunction with an Aftershock and Manta filter (among other 'dumb' pedals), I'll be eager to see what you come up with in the next vid! I've gotten as far as running basic program change Macros from the Soleman, but with a very little MIDI experience it will be exciting to see what possibilities there are. Again, thanks for the info/demos.

i just wanted to ask if video about the MIDI connectivity and integration of the FI in to a complete rig is going to happen? i have loads of questions regarding this.....
Great video, as always. Have been debating about getting a Future Impact for a while. It's not cheap, or at least is wasn't the last time I checked. I've been using the H9 to get some synthy tones, but definitely nothing like the Future Impact can do. Got a used Ibanez SB7 on the way to play with in that regard too. Wondering, do you always use the Future Impact patches so heavy in the effects mix? Sounds like you've pulled your bass tone completely out, but maybe that's for demo purposes. Also, was that your Aftershock distortion pedal around 13:20?

Hello, my name is Gary. I've seen your videos concerning the future impact pedal. They are real good and have a lot of info in the them.
Where can I find a list showing the type of sound is in each bank and program. I have printed the manual. But it references info about editing and midi mostly.

Great vid yet again Zach. You really show what can be done with a modern effects set-up. Appreciate you are running a ES-8 (as do I) that enables re-ordering but can you confirm the basic order of things for me; OC2 -> Future Impact -> Aftershock -> HOG2 -> Mobius -> H9 -> H9 -> Volume (Manta/HOF/Chase). I.e. Synth tonal generation first, then dirt, Harmonisation, Modulation, Verb & Delay)?
Also, have you had a play with the Boss SY-300 - it looks to be able to do much of what the Impact can, but didn't know if it was your thing.

I know what you mean about the SY-300. It's an amazing single box solution but despite the poly capability doesn't get to where the FI does. I'm really impressed with what you've shown us here (and in all your vids) but please can you stop now....your gonna bankrupt me :)
Where is the vocorder effect coming from? Sounds awesome with the Future Impact.
Wow....i found my pedal i think ...it has all that hiphop sounding tones....does it have any sub bass presets?
A little question: 2 H9 are ever after the FI?
Can you switch programs on the FI with the es-8 via midi?
Can you emulate "future bass" sound?

hia. thanks for the great video. you also got me interested in the h9! I was wondering, seeing as you have a big 'ol switch pedal there if it is possible to, for example have a load of presets put in a particular order on both, which can then be changed by a single click on the programme change pedal? not sure if it helps, but I am using a One Control Gecko MKII. This can operate like the future impact with a programme change followed by confirm with the second button. but i can also change it so i just press let or right once to go each way. the future impact seems to need two click to change...

have you ever tried expression pedal with it ? What can i do with expression pedal and Future impact ? i read user guide and googled but cant find it . can i choose which(things like LFO or Pitch or Attack) to work with expression?
ok i see . that sounds little too complicated too me , maybe just use another pedal for LFO expression control . BTW i am really enjoying your videos , thanks for making quality demos of quality pedals :)
oh i didnt know that Reflex can connected to Midi . and i dont know what CC means what is that short for ?
Sorry, one more question. Where do you think the pedal should sit in the chain. Does it need to have effects going into it or it going into the efects.
It should be as close to the front as possible. You don't want to alter your sound much at all before sending it into a pedal that requires accurate tracking.
