Very nice information and video . How do they lay the girder because here it is shown as laid earlier. Please show the viewers as to how they lay the line before placing sleepers. on the track between two lines.
Good thing. Is there any such projects to link southern states ? There are many ports are there also. Any news of South freight corridor?
Yes it will connect vijaywada chennai etc but it will take time
I believe that the main purpose of DFC is to connect those areas which are far from the coasts. As most of the southern states are in proximity of the coasts and have abundant ports so there is the sagarmala project.
Yes after complete east west cooridoore .....next project done in south to central India....and be sure
Currently there is only 2 Dedicated Freight corridor under construction.
Mumbai- Delhi (Western DFC) and
Kolkata - Amritsar via Delhi (Eastern DFC)
There are more freight corridor including in South India, but they are in planning stage, construction is not started yet.
There will be total 6 DFCs, out of which two - Eastern DFC & Western DFCs are partly operational..
Apart from these there are 4 more..
East-West DFC --> Dankuni to Bhusaval
North-South DFC --> Vijayawada to Itarsi
East Coast DFC --> Vijayawada to Kharagpur
South DFC --> Madgaon to Chennai
Last 4 have been recently announced in budget, and will take some time to start, construct and be operational..
