Is there a setting that would minimize/adjust the L/R/L/R movement? This device looks like it would work great for my kids' soccer games. However, for basketball, some videos I saw constantly moves the video L/R/L/R as it seemingly tries to keep the ball centered. This continuous L/R/L/R movement would make the viewer dizzy. So is there a setting that would minimize/adjust the L/R/L/R movement?
the software say you can limit the pan angle from 120 degress down to 60 for example but it seems like the robot does not pay attention the limits i set in the phone app. best to reduce or not use zoom. I keep the zoom fixed, it only makes the excessive panning seem worse when zoomed in and you will get sick watching it.
I have a 14' tripod. It is a Neweer that I bought off Amazon. iphone 12. I am tempted to make an adapter (3D print) for my video camcorder and just shoot the game without zoom at a fixed length. My camcorder has less issues with over heating. I 3D printed a cover for my camera that is white and helps keep the heat down on the iphone.
maybe not, it the ball is going out of bounds alot like it will in rec vs comp games or play is stopping alot, you may find it starts searching around for something moving. They have an over 14 and under 14 years old mode which i don't understand other than maybe the speed of play for over 14 or the size of the players effects the AI tracking. Must have trained the AI model on two different data sets.
I think fixed is better in my opinion. the zooming is in consistent, makes me nauseous, and I am more interested in see more of the field and the shape of the teams. My personal preference is to turn the zoom off right now.
yes, there is a live stream option. What you see is out of the box football/soccer mode. I think i slowed the motor/tracking down though and turned off zooming. The problem with the live streaming is that you have to get all the going on your phone and get the game recording on the same phone. logistically it is a pain. I have not tried the apple watch monitoring. I would need to steal my daughter to try that.
Scott thx for sharing. Are you having to track it with the remote every so often? Seems like on a set piece the xbot gets lost every so often. Also, your auto zoom seems to work better than what I have experienced.
I am usually turning off the auto zoom now. when you are zoomed it is makes the panning back in forth worse to watch on film. Stay zoomed out with your iphone on 1.3-1.5x fixed zoom and that seems to work ok but the AI is not good enough at keeping up with the play and have zoom on IMHO
Both games I recorded were pretty hot, probably in the 90's. It's very hot where i live and my phone overheats sometimes when it is 100 degrees in the shade. it is an iphone issue not Xbot.
10-12 feet but it can go higher. My biggest complaint is that you need another device to monitor your iphone! Logistically is a bit of drag to setup a game.
6-10 feet from the sideline with camera mounted at about 11-13 ft high. I wish I could lock the tilt angle but it seems you can't. I feel it over tilts downward too much for my taste. Pan angle is set to 120. I tried changing this in the software but the AI seems to override the limits for example if i set it to 60 degrees of pan, it still seems to go to 120.
Looks good, thanks for sharing. Does it not zoom in when it’s the other side of the pitch? Is this the stand it comes with as doesn’t seem that high to get a better view of the pitch? You happy with it though?
No, i bought my own stand. It is a neweer brand one that I bought off of amazon. I deliberately turned off the autozoom because i did not like it in a previous video that i made. I just fix my iphone at about 1.3 to 1.5x zoom and film without zooming.
honestly i have not played with it enough. I have access to a Veo3. I got this so that I did not have manually record my daughters high school games this year. I think this misses too much action right now and her games are at night and I usually video from the observation booth in the stadium. I doubt the Xbot will track from that far away from the field and it will probably have trouble with the light conditions and the weather. The Xbot is not water proof which is a fatal flaw for winter games in Northern CA.
This is pretty impressive, if it somehow managed to pan/tilt a little smoother it would be amazing
i feel like it over tilts a bit but that may be why Xbot, i thought, recommended not putting it up higher than 11 or 14 feet, i can remember which.

how does it do when therer are people / parents and coaches on the sideline and or coaches walking by and kids subbing on and off the field ?
I have only had my camera on the parent side of the field so far. I am curious how it will do at a night game. I have the feeling it will be rough.
It does OK with people moving around but I would try to place the came in front of parents rather than behind them.
This will do for my kids games. What size tripod are you using ? And phone ? Thank you

I am having issues with my scanning the whole game. Am i missing something.

Is there a way on the recording to remove the XboxGo watermark and the time stamp in the corner?
No. You would have to remove it in a video processing software app
Do you think fixed zoom is better vs auto zoom?

How high did you have your camera ? We just got one for soccer and I'm curious how it will look at different heights
10-12 i think. I think they (Xbot) does not recommend putting it much higher than 11 feet. I thought i read that somewhere.
@@Onthebackhalf 16 ft is better is records better the opposit side
Yeah I’ve been at 14 ft or so lately which is better than 11-12
this is out of the box football mode or one need to set up something? livestream mode available?

What were game time temps? No issue with your phone overheating? Looking into this system so thanks for the upload.

even the new VEO3 has a built in fan now that is visible.
Putting an umbrella on on the tripod to shade the phone helps.
You can buy a “gamer” shade which is much more compact on Amazon. I 3D printed my own and show it in one of my other posts.
What height are you filming from, and what Phone are you using?
iphone 12. I typically put the tripod at about 10-12 feet.
Did you end up keeping it?
Yeah, i kept it. Hopefully the AI will get better. it needs work. It is not waterproof and I bought it winter games at night.
What is your tripod height?
10-12 feet but it can go higher. My biggest complaint is that you need another device to monitor your iphone! Logistically is a bit of drag to setup a game.
For a $400 AI camera in comparison to the veo or pixellot that’s over 2k, seems like it does pretty well..
It is not terrible but it does get lost particularly on set plays. If the ball is not moving it starts looking for player movement and vice versa.
Currently, the original Xbotgo works better for under 14 9v9 games.
Pan angle and speed? How far you set up from sideline?
6-10 feet from the sideline with camera mounted at about 11-13 ft high. I wish I could lock the tilt angle but it seems you can't. I feel it over tilts downward too much for my taste. Pan angle is set to 120. I tried changing this in the software but the AI seems to override the limits for example if i set it to 60 degrees of pan, it still seems to go to 120.
Thanks for replying to the comments! What speed do u have the settings on? Your settings seem to be smooth with the LR movement!
I tend to not use zooming and I set the tracking speed in the app to 500 rather than 1000
Looks good, thanks for sharing.
