@@Anon-wh4ou It was probably due to a bug but my pod ended up really close to the back of the Aurora. When I came back to it there was a reaper around. Went inside, attracted its attention along the way, reaper tried to get to me but can't destroy the pod, ends up pushing me around.
Hasn't happened since.
I don’t have the same experience but once on one of my pre-release saves my Lifepod somehow drifted until it was 500 meters into the void. I promptly decided “fuck that” and never returned to that Lifepod
All my playthroughs the life pod was in pretty much the exact same place! I didn't realise it could move at all

jack has that childlike wonder whereas mark is more catious about everything and dosen't have that wonder anymore. marks more like a teenager while jacks more like a little kid in many diffrent ways from their loudness to their playthrough styles to the jokes that they make (jack dosen't make nearly as many innapropriate jokes unless he's with mark)

Mark was more scared playing this than he was playing RE2.
Well in RE2 he has several weapons with which he can dispatch the zoms and monsters. In subnautica he doesn’t have those weapons. On top of that he is terrified of the ocean.

I get the feeling he was more terrified of the first Subnautica than the other horror-themed games he played. I'm sure that if I'd played there's a slight chance I MIGHT react the same. At the same time I"m pretty sure I would be as absorbed into the game's story as I was in Breath of the Wild.
Yea, like I understand being cautious in a new situation, but I felt he was outright terrified of a new environment. He was already terrified through most of the original gameplay. Mark likes when things are familiar, and when he can be in control of the situation. Also, while he can say he's not scared of the ocean, I think we can all see the reality lol.

O an they can also embed themselves directly into your cells an DNA as well as destroy parts of your DNA increasing the likelihood of cancer as well as mutations both good an bad.
An they present a considerable threat to the internal environment of a station or a ship by literally ripping a hole into them hence why we had to develop armor of sorts that we occasionally need to replace an repair if not outright replace the entire thing.
At least in the water I am safe...well safer especially in the shallows. Sharks like to come up from beneath like eagles, hawks, an Falcons like to come from above.

after coming back and watching this again after so long, I would definitely be interested in seeing Mark play this again since they’ve almost completely changed the whole story in the completed version.

Can so relate to the feeling of "I hate it, I hate it!" scrambling to get out of the water. Played the first Subnautica, and the second one when it was finished, and it still makes me queezy with fear just jumping into the shallows.

God, I missed this. I loved these Subnautica videos because despite his obvious fear he was always cracking jokes, rationalizing, and laughing. It's always nice to come back to it and smile at the jokes and the way he screams at the ocean as if it can hear him. If Mark sees this, which isn't likely but whatever, Thanks man, for doin' what ya do, and just for bein' you.
I swear mark is more scared of this game than the last, likely because he knows the horrors the developers created last time and now he’s terrified that he has no idea what they are anymore. Good to see that the game is back.

By the way Mark, the big translucent hole buddy is called a Titan Holefish!! They’re passive and won’t hurt you. But they live in symbiosis with the lil’ red bastards who jumped at you. They’re called Symbiotes (sorry Venom, you’re not waterproof like these guys), and they provide the Holefish with protection. It, in turn, provides them with sustained nutrients. They’re a pretty cool example of symbiosis!!

it was still funny, but yeah they're so different xD
