Hey Kat, I run into the same problem with comping in Goodwill stores... spinning. I have found that if I turn my WiFi off on my phone this solves the problem. Most of the bigger thrift Stores have their own WiFi that you can't connect but if you turn off WiFi & use your cell phone data you will be abe to connect immediately. I went to an unlimited data plan last year so it definitely helps.
That's how I always have mine because there's no wifi for me most places including home LOL
@@TheNurseFlipper cocktail napkins I have some
Ohh good tip my phone 📱 dose that more, I think 5G had messed things up.
i happened to have this problem as well. check you settings under network and internet and you will se WI-FI GW guest , turn it off. Goodwill does is for purpose so you cant check their items. Its a crime i guess. I didnt give permission for GW to do such.
The small vintage rectangular textiles are cocktail napkins. Very collectible!
Thank you! I was wondering, as well.
The round linens are tortilla warmers. You put a paper towel or tea towel with your tortillas in there and it helps keep them warm and you can use to heat them up also as long as they don't have metal zipper which most don't have.❤
Thanks for the info
Great great hall. I absolutely loved everything that you picked up in the linen department. Happy T HRI FTING
Yes it's one of my favorites!
It's good to see you sourcing again.
This ones a older one :D
People coming up on me happens ALL THE TIME. I think they see you looking and they wonder what you are finding that they MUST HAVE. I like you don’t back down. I was there first. I also hate when you take your time going down a row and they try and rush you along. I slow down even more so they get the point.
Nice finds. I will be in Flordia at the end of the month visiting my daughter, it’s one of my favorite places to shop when I visit. So many nice stores
LOL glad to know I'm not the only one
I have had the same issue with people doing that in stores. I'm in the middle and they get very close on the side I'm going towards. I stand my ground too. Lol
LOL :D
Great haul. Couldn’t believe how fast your fingers go when trying to look up that comp. I usually don’t back down either but I’m an old woman and people just think I’m senile or something. Little do they know, arrrrr shiver me Timbers.
hahahahahhaha
Don't succumb to the pressure 28:54 .- YES!!! Love it!!
LOL not when people bum rush me :D
Love that cross stitch. What a find. I also loved those pair of Vans you looked at for a few minutes. I also love the linens. Thank you. Very enjoyable!
You're very welcome!
Wow, amazing finds. Our thrift stores linen section usually has just gross old stuff that no one would want.
Yes, it seems like it's completely hit or miss with the linen section
Shopping is the fun part but I've always struggled with finding the time to list everything I bought.
Yes I think that's a common problem for resellers LOL
If you are doing this full time then you definitely have the time.
I can understand if it’s part time and have another job on top of it.
@@carltonthepug I have a full time corporate job.
@@carltonthepug Unless you're doing it full time along with youtube (answering 100s of comments a day) and having a 3 year old ;-)
Same here!!!
With no service goodwills I'll collect all the "maybes" and sit in the front window comping everything if I can't find service elsewhere (I like to sit in the chairs if there's service). Everybody knows everybody and we all know what we're doing. No reason to hide it at a goodwill. :)
Great idea!!!
Hi.the small squares are drinks and nibbles napkins ..for drinks parties as apposed to dinner napkins x
Thanks
I must admit, I never go down the linens aisle unless my dogs need new blankets to lay on.
Lol you should start
Very cool finds. Fun🌞
Thank you!
The orange colored placemats and napkins are Indonesian batik. I have a set of black and gold ones that I purchased when I lived in Indonesia in the '70s. They are hand made. Women use hot wax to cover the areas where they do not want the dye to touch the fabric. The fabric is then dyed and then they repeat the process to darken part of the pattern by covering the lighter color again with hot wax. I did visit a factory if you could call it that when I lived there. I even have photos somewhere of the women working on the fabric. They don't sell for a lot which is a shame since they are so labor intensive.
I came here to see if someone said batik!
YAY thank you for letting me know what they are! Definitely a shame as it sounds like tons of work.
Just started watching all your different vids 😀 they r so interesting!
Thanks for watching, appreciate that!
The little rectangle linen pieces are for arms of upholstered chairs
Thank you!
Thank you so much! I was literally scrolling through every single comment trying to find the answer to that question. I love those little rectangle linen pieces but I wasn’t sure if they were anything that I would be able to use if I found them. Thank you so much.
@@zsantis3831 you’re very welcome
I believe the orange circles are meant to protect table tops and counter tops from scorching when a Hot pan or dish is set down. My grandmother used them. The thinner ones would cover a metal pan "catcher" once theyve become ugly or too worn for the table and guests. I hope that is the same thing I'm thinking of. Love your content and sourcing tastes!
Thank you!!! Appreciate you watching!
Simple aisle etiquette. There first? You own it! 👍🏻
Exactly!
So many beautiful pieces. I love the tiles and towels too.
Yess fabulous!!!
At the Orlando Goodwill in linens I found an original 70s velvet tapestry of dogs playing pool. $1.99 comps for $75-$90.
yes! that's amazing. I love linens
Lol... I love you Kat, I thought you and the linen lady were gonna scrap 😂🤣😂
Ohhhh it was close LOL
I see that this video is old but gotta let you know that in the video when I were by pillow cases and seen cartoon sheets and didn't know characters, it was yo Gabba Gabba a old TV show. Sells are good on those. I once had a 90's vintage style pottery barn batman just mattress cover I sold for $35.. great video 👍
Thank you!
Hi Kat❤️!!! I’ve missed you with all the holiday shenanigans here at home. Catching up with you today and loving it.
Welcome back!
We passed through Tupelo, Mississippi Goodwill few weeks ago. If I told you folks the prices you wouldn’t believe it. ‘Those Vans you held early in video would have been either $19.99 or $24.99. We took pictures because people wouldn’t believe it. If a used shirt had Nike, Under Armour, or the holy grail Polo on it, it was priced at $14.99. Not kidding.
Wow that's crazy!!!
Hold your ground! lol Might have to check my thrift shops for linens when i take my packages today.
Please do! Some great profits for sure!!!
I love the pottery barn pillow cases! Wow- they are stunning! Great finds!!!
They are!
I also just noticed the location. I'll be down that way in a few weeks, I'm totally going there!
It was a great store
That is a huge Goodwill!! Great finds, loved the linens❤️
Yes! Thank you!
Wow, wow, wow, fantastic haul!
Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing this. I had no idea that linen could be such good sellers.
You are so welcome!
Great Haul
Thank you!
WOW Kat what a great haul. Merry Christmas to you & your family ❤️🎄❤️
Thank you! You too!
Wowza !! I learned a lot today !! Thank you for the great content , as always 🤗!!
My pleasure!!
Your Goodwills and so many other resellers have such big linen Departments. I live right outside Milwaukee, Wi and our linen Departments in Goodwill & other resell shops have little Linen, blanket Departments 🤔🙄😕🙃
Mine close to me (a hour away) This one is 3 hours away, you might want to go to some further out and check them out.
Also..I almost forgot!! I often go to the Antique Mall in Kewaskum and purchased a bunch of linen. Have you been there? Also a nice Goodwill in West Bend. What's your favorite vintage store?
It looks like you are at one of my Goodwills in Bradenton off 301! If it is my Goodwill, I won't be checking out the linens there! Lol
LOL yes, it was great
Girl I love linens too ! You got some great stuff 👍👍
Yes! Thank you!
Thanks Kat...Merry Christmas to You and Your Family !! Great Finds!!!
Same to you!
Always buy Days of the Week Vintage Kitchen Towels in good condition!
I love them!
Those little rectangle pieces were cocktail napkins.
thank you :D
Little rectangles/squares with embroidery or pretty fabrics can also be handkerchiefs. Some are beautiful!
WOW, great finds!! No Goodwill shopping for me, my death pile will take me a year to list it all.
Thanks appreciate you watching!!!
Those sewsusiedesigns were awesome
Yes she does amazing work
Nice linens haul! I love linens especially vintage. I have a hard time finding that kind of stuff in the thrifts here.
Yes I love it as well !
Goodwill's pricing can be erratic. I think some stores bring in knowledgable people to price goods, other's just any ol' employee will do. I came into a bunch of Fiestaware pieces $1-5 each. When I was checking out another employee saw the prices and got so mad, started photographing them to rat out the guy in the back who priced them. They want to charge almost antique store pricing sometimes but they are loosing site of their mission IMO. High priced items might not sell then off to the bins, bad business model, right?
LOL yeah but they're trying to get the most they can. If I go to goodwills like that I just don't go anymore. I also hate the ones that are almost all new crap merchandise
Even our small thrift stores the cashiers almost always comment on underpriced merchandise. Most of the time it’s positive like “you got a real bargain.”
@@jaynewalsh1699 yeah I hear that often as well
Agreed, they have lost sight big time. My understanding is they are supposed to price reasonably. Not necessarily for resellers to be able to flip for a profit, and I am a reseller. Yet alot of low income customer's depend on fair priced items.
@@mythoughts6922 and resellers depend on it to support themselves and pay bills which I would think is a good thing
I found a lovely Italian pitcher there , wood grain glaze, moriage drizzle and flowers.......$4.99. Still researching but I did see a creamer that looked just like it listed for $35 online. They didn't seem to know too much about theirs, either. Also got a tortoiseshell hand blown art glass vase for $1.99......worth at least $35. Nice Goodwill!
Yes I like it as well!
We call those small pillows 'cushions' so might be worth adding to descriptions.
Thanks appreciate that
Merry Christmas Chick, nice haul. yay you.
Thank you! You too!
thanks Kat!
No problem Dave :D
You never disappoint😄
Happy to hear
Good stand off....well done
Thank you! Cheers!
Not sure if you’ve tried it but the next time you’re in a thrift store and attempting to pull up an item on eBay but only get the circling, trying turning your Wi-Fi off, close the eBay app completely on your phone and reopen it. That usually works for me every time on At& t
I've tried I have verizon it hasn't worked. Some stores it's ok in but not all
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Same to you!
Never back down when bum rushed in a thrift store! Tawanda!! 💕😆
hahahahah NOPE
Great info!!!😁
Glad you think so!
I have sold tons of Vintage Blankets and Linens. Vintage Blankets such as Beacon bring big money.
Yes linens are the best!
Sorry for another comment, but I lose my connection at auctions all of the time, but if I turn my data on, it usually works. Just a suggestion, good luck. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Kat to you and your family.
I have data on unfortunately it still doesn't work
Those orange color circles could be to go on top of rectangular place mats..some people do like a plain rectangular one with a colorful accent one on top..not sure if there’s a specific name for them. 😊
Like a cloth charger under a place setting. I like it!
Yes very possible! Thanks!
@@TheNurseFlipper you’re welcome 😊

Merry Christmas !
Thank you. I've never seen small ones like that
@@TheNurseFlipper They are cocktail napkins... for under glasses, before we all had the paper napkins! My great-aunt had a lot of them -- she'd be about a hundred and 40 if she still lived!
Amazing haul!! 🧚🏻♀️
Thank you!! 😊
Some great finds on linens, I like the Christmas red green napkins. I have nicer seen this many higher quality napkins runners and those orange hand dyed round doilies were special. I like vintage. The quality is better than now of days.
I totally agree!
Suggestion Hun not that you didn't think of this of course but I found when I've gone in stores where the internet is blocked because of the metal in the building or whatever instead of the possibility of losing out on that item that might be a good item I would put it in my buggy and then I go to part of the store where there's a window yeah and usually there you can get a signal and if you can't well you just you know tell him that you want to leave the buggy right there by the glass window by the cashier of course go outside but keep the stuff where you can see it so you can snap a picture of it and then look it up or second option is email a picture of it to a family member or whatever that's outside of the building that's home and let them look it up and get back to you have a good one bye
Jackpot! I see what you mean about being willing to drive three hours once a month!!!
Yeah some really nice stuff!
I am the same way in goodwill. Keep my cart in front of me. If I am in an isle first the person can leave lol
LOL YES
Do they have all the napkins priced separately yet bunched together? Ours has 1 price for all. I agree, if someone else is in an Isle I leave my cart on the end.
They had each priced last time I went
Love those pillow covers! Where was this Goodwill it looks very nice! 🦩💕

Thanks for another amazing video. Just for your information, I have done very well with Threshold plates and bowls. Not sure about linen, though. Target sells a lot of that brand and they are in demand by many people, so usually a quick sale.
Great tip!
You have sold me on looking at linens from herein out!!!
You definitely should there's lots of money there!
@@TheNurseFlipper How do you clean linens? I bought some gorgeous quilts at the bins along with some napkins and place mats.
@@dianeyomtov5379 if they're not smelly or stained I don't do anything if they are I just wash in washer as long as not antique where I worry about damage
I love your very informative, interesting channel. I look for linens but sometimes find some beauties but they might have a stain on them so I pass them up. Do you pass up things with stains or do you have a secret on how to get rid of stains?? I also know a lady who makes the most beautiful quilts using old vintage hankies!!
I actually still sell them decent and I LOVeee those quilts!
I have learned that different people price the items, thus different prices for the same type article. What I don't understand is pricing the top and bottom of pajamas separately.
Yeah I don't get it either
Kat, just curious but any idea what you'd sell those light house napkins to me for? I have an older lady friend, that her and her hubby are my auction buddies, I think she would love those.
Also not sure but I think your small chicken linens, are ladies hankies, not sure just what I think it might be. Loved the video, also are the indoor/outdoor pillow cases just an open slit, that the pillow slides in. I'm made some pillow cases before that were personalized embroidery, which I put zippers in. Sorry so long, thanks for your time.
I would do $12 + shipping so it would probably be about $16 total. Email me if you're interested in them thenurseflipper@yahoo.com. Someone suggested they might be cocktail napkins. They have really nice zippers, someone found her she actually sells on etsy she sells them for $40 to $135
When you have more than one person pricing, prices are going to be inconsistent.
There were times I spoke to the manager because I had four identical items and all were priced differently so the rule they have (our local Goodwills) is using the item with lowest price and giving the rest at that price as long as long as they are the exact same items
Oh that's good to know!
That Goodwill has the best linens. I shop there quite often. Have you been to the one on State Road 70, east of 75? It's another great one. The Sarasota/Bradenton area has some of the best Goodwill stores.
Where was this one at? I live close to Bradenton.
2715 51st Ave East. It's one block north of State Road 70 (53rd Ave East), on US 301.
I haven't because I'm 3 hours away but maybe I'll have to start making some trips!
This is the one next to corporate offices
GW has stupid high prices for shoes!! The store here when it opened had all boots $49 didn’t matter the brand or condition.
yeah it's ridiculous!
Bravo, bravo,, yeah look at the linens,, cannon towels,, Flanders tapestry 5x7 paid $8 sells for $1,064.00,, native american blanket $10 sold for $80.00,, linens yeah,,
AMAZING
Those sewSusie designs are selling for crazy prices on Etsy
That is the designer on etsy! She donated the pillowcases. I messaged her and let her know I had them. She stated she couldn't stop me from selling them on ebay, but would prefer I not list on etsy which I will respect. Thank you for letting me know! I'm glad she's still out there making them it's amazing work!
If you have comcast for home service you can sign out of your mobile network when your out and about and connect to an xfininty network which may give you a wider range of reception but down fall is its not a secure network. Its pretty much free wifi for comcast customers whom are not in range of there home wifi.

I get a TON of my stuff from Goodwill! Love your vids! Any tips on how I can grow my New channel to your size?
I'll tell you in the beginning I was on youtube 30-40 hours a week in live chats, watching videos, commenting so people knew who I was. I also went on lives all the time back then. It is alot of time and effort and letting people know who you are along with improving videos and providing them either education and or entertainment so they share :D It's not easy work. Hi Kat,
I was wondering if you hand wash or machine wash all of your linens? I am so weary of linens because I know the thrift stores don't launder anything.
I don't unless visibly stained or soiled. Some thrifts spray and treat them and some of my smaller stores actually do laundre (No idea how they keep up with that) most of what I picked up this day was new :D
@@TheNurseFlipper
Thank you.
Threshold is a Target brand.
Hello Kat. How much do you think you will put the quilt and pillow cases up for?
So someone else found the pillow maker on etsy they go from 80-135 so I will probably list close to 40 possibly more if I'm able to identify the fabric maker. It seems she uses a expensive fabric which is why they're so nice. The baby quilt I will probably do 75-100. If you're interested in any though let me know and I would do less
Shopping etiquette!! Someone needs to write the book. Drives me crazy when someone reaches in front of me to grab something or starts looking at something in front of me. I was here first, when I’m done looking, then you can look. That lady should have absolutely moved. You were there first.
