Pluck | The Courage to Get Out

Pluck - Noun | Spirited and Determined Courage - Reading this caption will mean a lot to me.
I had only shown this film to my fiance and to Boomer, one of my office mates shown in the video, but when a few other friends wanted to gather around my computer and watch it, I felt myself wanting to run away as they watched it. I knew it was vulnerable, but jeez, watching people watch me be vulnerable on camera - it felt so dramatic - what if people don't really understand what I'm trying to say in this video? Do I need to make it longer to explain everything?
There was alot of fear surrounding the release of this film. I can confidently say though that I made this film for myself, and for my office mates, but if you end up finding something within these ten minutes, I would be overjoyed.
If I'm learning anything these days, it's that story is more powerful than beautifully composed shots, and while I will never discredit my love for beautiful cinematics, this film is a testament to the notion that story is truly powerful. Story is in everything, and in being intentional, even in the smallest way, story can explode out of the life that you are living exponentially.
This film ends with the picture being hung, and after, there are some seemingly random shots of Boomer, Drew, and I. This is the only part of the film that I felt the need to explain - I wanted to show powerful versions of ourselves on our own, as we were all now on our own, after the bootcamp that the office space was to us, going on our own paths/adventures in life.
I truly hope you enjoy this film, this vulnerable look into some special people during a special time at a special place in the upstairs of a manufacturing plant.
