best content I have seen and watched. please upload more videos within 1 week :)
Interesting experiment!! I have been teaching for over 13 years with lots of singers and actors in my classes. I would say most of them don't do it for their voice, but for their posture, stage presence, and handling stress and anxiety better. But what happens with better posture and a more relaxed lifestyle is that deep and long diaphragmatic breathing becomes easier. If you want to improve your breathing though look for 'pranayama' which is not physical yoga but 'yogic breathing techniques'. And yes, keep practicing anyway, it's totally worth it!!
We'd love to see more content about opera :) I'm a mezzo soprano candidate too
Thank you so much, this video was incredibly interesting! Now that I know that yoga really does help with singing, this might just be the one thing to convince me to actually try it out 😅😉
Would you consider recording a full version of "Must the winter come so soon" ? Because the excerpt we got to hear in this video was absolutely gorgeous 😍
hahahaha!!! the only reason to do anything! Working on getting it recorded now so stay tuned.... Hopefully soon I can properly meet with a pianist and due a recording of my audition package :)
@@VivsGreen Oh yes, please, that would be wonderful! I wish you the best of luck that your meeting with the pianist is going to be possible very soon (since I am already very excited for the recording 😊).
Many of the great singers did yoga or different forms of breathing exercises. Most notable are Robert Merill who did 2 hours of yoga every day and Helge Rosvaenge who did 3 hours of yoga per day. Both singers had huge careers with no vocal problems and sang on stage their entire life, literally. There voices were just massive, Rosvaenge was called the european Caruso, as caruso was in america, and its sad that the chandeliers would start shaking while he sang in dresden. The better the breath and bigger the capacity of your lungs the easier, longer, bigger and healthier you can sing. The bigger the drum, the bigger the sound.
Hi Avi, have you tried singing while in a bridge pose ?
❤️
You have definitely influenced this video ! ❤️
@@VivsGreen yayyyyy 🧘😍
Omg I get the crying thing when I do breathing exercises!!!😂it's mainly when I do really long long breaths when meditating i thought it was just cos my eyes are sensitive or something haha
Maybe that's what it is! I keep feeling like it's the weirdest thing like WHAT?? Where is all this water from! hahaha! glad to know it's not just me 😉
Omg ikr hahahha it's so weird - likewise though glad I'm not the only one😂
What video are you going to do in Mozart/Rossini recit?
Mozart récit is coming this month! 👏🤗 I'm very excited about it!
What should we do while preparing for the conservatory? video
