    The link you included in your description does not provide dimensions. The amazon link asks that you pick a size. what size case are you using? 20 inch, 22 inch or 16 inch?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      I just updated the link to reference the size of case that I'm using. It's the 20-inch yellow case. Thanks!

    Hey, love the video, will this case work for the Phantom 3 without have to take anything off the drone (landing gear, etc.)?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  8 лет назад

      +Steve Armas (WRXBuild) I simply took off my props before placing it inside of the case. Check the link within this video's description for more detailed specs and you might also like the orange case that I have listed there too.

    Hey IrixGuy Love the video and the case but I need a case that will fit the copter with the tall landing gear. I got tired of fixing the gimble so put the taller landing gear on the DJI. Now have a problem finding a case. Any ideas?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  9 лет назад

      David Heaton Thank you! Check out the case that I use for my larger Phantom 2 Vision Plus ruclips.net/video/WqGQe16bGuk/видео.html . It also comes in larger sizes than the one I ordered. You can find the link to order it, along with detailed specs, within that video's description. It's a rock-solid case too! I swim with it, let TSA bang it around and have even banged it into rocks while crawling through The Baths in Virgin Gorda =)

    Thanks a lot just ordered it. I could only get the black one. Hopefully it's the same dimensions because I saw someone post something about the black case not working like yours. I will follow step by step and let you know once it's done. Thanks

      Keep in mind there are two egg shell foam layers for lid. I only used the thing egg shell foam layer, as the other or both would be too thick. This case rocks!

      Check out this video and link within video description to order DJI Phantom Waterproof & Floating Case Demonstration . Not only is it a great case but it's ruggedized and floats too! I've got more videos coming soon where I bang it into rocks on Virgin Gorda. I got the 22.5 inch yellow from link within vid description. Fantastic case!

    Ok, so if you wanted to put the phantom towards the middle of the case, could you keep the propellers on and still close the case?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      That should work but you'll be sacrificing the room for the controller, batteries and other gear. If I was you I'd check the larger 22-inch model in the link below. It'll likely be your best bet. This case is absolutely amazing and it's so neat that it's waterproof and floats =)

    • @ljgram
      @ljgram 10 лет назад

      IrixGuy's Adventure Channel Alright, but I really don't want to spend the extra money, is that an extra 2 inches on height to width or length? Also, I don't have much to store, just the phantom, controller, and maybe one extra battery in the future. I want the case to be as small as possible. I would prefer to keep the propellers on in the case, but if I have to sacrifice it for size then I will. This seems like the smallest phantom case I have found. So with that in mind, which is right for me 20' or 22'? Also, are you sure it will work with the DJI Phantom "2"???
      Thanks

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      ljgram I'm only sure that it works with the Phantom 1.1.1 that I have. If I was you, I'd check the return policy before ordering just to be safe. Good luck.

    Any issues with the landing gear resting directly against the bottom of the case?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      James Harvey I never had any issues and I lugged this thing from boat to beach (swam with it) and banged it around the rocks at the Baths on Virgin Gorda. This case never leaked and my Phantom 1.1.1 remained well protected. I

      So you still recommend this case for the Phantom 1 for air travel, etc?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      James Harvey Just be sure to keep the batteries on your person (they don't let you check batteries below the plane). This case worked great for my Phantom 1! I checked it and flew with it below the plane all of the way to St. Thomas. It worked great! I still like the bright yellow one though because of its contrast against the water. If it breaks loose from me while swimming, it's super easy to see in the waves. Here I am swimming with it DJI Phantom Waterproof & Floating Case Demonstration

    does it fit the tall landing gear by any chance? I'm finding it hard to find one that does... I'm using a very ghetto solution that I recorded, it does the job but you cant use for travel for example..

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      This case would not but the case that I use for my DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ likely would because it's taller. Check out my DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus videos and look at link within vid description to find the case that I'm referencing. It's the orange case :)

    i need to build one that will accomodate the prop guards...

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      I don't use prop guards but the larger 22 inch model linked within this vid description would likely work.

    • @sketch6995
      @sketch6995 10 лет назад +1

      well the prop guards have already saved me from several broken props, landing it in bumpy grass or on gravel can cause it to tip backwards, i just dont want to take them off every time i put it in a case. and with the prop guards it is 24 inches wide. i'll keep looking.

  • @jamesmharvey
    @jamesmharvey 10 лет назад +1

    Did you omit the battery charger intentionally?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  10 лет назад

      James Harvey The only reason that I did is I typically keep the battery charger in my backpack, instead of the field where I may lose it. My thoughts were that I wouldn't have a power plug where I was filming anyway. I don't see that there would be a problem with fitting the charger in the case though.

    • @jamesmharvey
      @jamesmharvey 10 лет назад +1

      Understood. Looks like it could have fit with some adjustments. Right?

    • @IrixGuy
