My horses are barefoot, I appreciate your approach and care for the frog. To many ferriers immediately go to their nippers and hack away, removing far too much frog. I like your surgical approach, removing the flaps and cleaning out the collateral groves.
I think what I find the most impressive in this is the "blacksmithing" part. To the uninitiated, all of those hammer strokes on the red hot horseshoe seem quite random, but I'm sure each of them has purpose. I'm not sure what exactly you're doing, or how you're eyeballing it. But it's kinda scary.

Train with them and they can be. Consistency is key to training any dog. Tips to training: Get whatever tool you use to trim the nail. (Do not trim the nail) Allow the dog to smell the tool and when they are finished reward with treat. After a few times of this,place the tool near or around the dogs paw but don't touch.When they look at it, reward them with treats. Your fur baby needs to understand that this tool means a delicious snack is coming their way.Use high value treats.Boiled chicken is one I use every now and again. When the dog is comfortable being around the tool you use,take the tool and gently apply pressure to their nail for a second then take it away and reward with treat. Pressure and release, Pressure and release. This will teach the dog to not fear the trimmers and to look forward to it. When the time comes to actually trim their nails,they won't give you any problems. Remember,every dog is different and some might need more time then others to learn not to fear. *Good* *luck* *with* *your* *training.*

I like vanilla ice cream with some fresh fruit, strawberries, peaches, or mango. I dont like to ride horses, but i do think they are beautiful animals. Its always great to see that white of the hoof come out. its always great to see someone who excels at their work perform it.
My favorite is those Talenti gelato things, my favorite is the Mint Cookie Layers thing. I love watching these because I always think "hehe horse pedicure"
